My husband brought his truck here for routine service several months ago and ended up being charged several hundred dollars for ROUTINE MAINTENANCE and minor things that should have been covered under his warranty. They didn't check the warranty nor check with him before performing services that added on costs. We've called several times after learning that his warranty should have been honored and should have covered the services he was provided. Each time we have been denied reimbursement or any sort of reconciliation. My father also has gone for oil changes here in the past and stopped because there was always some sort of issue. Absolutely the worst service experience I've ever had at a Cadillac dealership. I originally came in for a simple oil change and after sitting there for nearly 2 hours, I was told I needed a wheel alignment. I agreed to it, only for them to later come back and say their machine was broken and I would need to return another day so they could use a different machine. Mind you, I drove an hour to this dealership. To make matters worse, I explained to the service advisor that I had an important meeting and needed to leave, yet he still moved at an unbelievably slow pace while I waited another 30 minutes just to cash out and leave. During checkout, I also mentioned that I had a GM rewards offer for my oil change that I wanted to use. I was told I couldn't use it, and at that point I was so frustrated I just told them to forget it. After paying, nobody even brought my car around. I had to go searching through the lot to find it myself. Then when I finally got in my vehicle, they had left all the plastic coverings and trash inside the car for me to throw away myself. Poor communication, wasted time, lack of professionalism, and zero sense of urgency. Completely unacceptable experience from a Cadillac dealership. I will never return for service again. read more

If I could give more than five stars to this dealership, and our salesman Julian London I would do ten stars. We are older in our 50's and this is around the 15th car we've purchased in our lifetime, and I can't say enough about how great Julian was and this dealership as a whole. We actually did an online purchase which can be terrifying when not seeing the car in person. The transparency, responsiveness, professionalism and the ease of how easy they are to work with is truly second to none. Julian is by far the most responsive, honest, non-pushy and knowledgeable salesman you will ever encounter. We shopped for nearly 2 weeks and had narrowed down our search to 3 cars out of around 10 that initially interested us. We had consulted with other dealerships and were in the negotiations stage 2 other dealerships while we were dealing with Julian. Although the other two had been a slightly better deal, we went with Ben Mynatt Chevrolet because of Julian's professionalism, knowledge and honesty. This was HUGE for us since we were buying a car unseen except for pictures. Justin. the general sales manager, was also great to deal with and being 500 miles away, we didn't have a shred of doubt that this car would be everything we expected it to be and would make it to us quickly. We didn't have that same confidence with the other dealerships we were in final negotiations with. Daniel, the finance manager, is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys you will ever deal with and made the finance process seamless. I honestly felt like these guys were family after dealing with them, that is how great they all were. If you are looking for a vehicle, I wouldn't choose any other dealership out there. On top of that, Julian is by far the BEST SALESMAN we have ever dealt with. If you are looking for someone with integrity, a great personality, and a level of professionalism that you just rarely see anymore.....than Julian is the person you want to see. The oil change service at Mynatt Chevrolet is unlike any I've ever experienced at other dealerships in the country. They send you over to a "quick lube" building separate from the service area. If I wanted a quick oil change I would have gone to Take 5 oil change. I expect a better service at a Chevrolet dealership. They advertise a 27 point inspection but as fast as they did the oil change I don't see how that could have happened. The guy who checked me in was very rude, said they don't take appointments even though I made an appointment and never even gave me the price up front until I asked. This dealership is horrible. We drove over 3 hrs all the while in contact corresponding with Bryan Schmeltzer made arrangements for this evening and stayed in correspondence with him during the trip. We get there and a salesman gets the keys and shows us the car, lets us check it all out and we were about to take it for a test drive, got my handicap wheelchair bound brother out to test it with us and was about to sit him in the car and then the salesman tells us "sorry it's sold" . Really??? Knew we were coming and driving all that way, let us get a handicap person out and to get in and then suddenly now you tell us it's sold???? How about some common curiosity, yall knew we were coming, yall let us look it all over, yall saw us getting a handicap person out of our vehicle and about to get into the other and then you decide " oh it's sold"! My car hit a huge pothole and busted the radiator. Got the car dropped off here because Onstar said it was the closest Chevy dealership. The website says they are open until 3pm on Saturday but they actually close at 1pm. So I had to wait until Monday to get my issue looked at. These scam artists tried to charge me $1000 to replace a damn radiator. The part was only 300 bucks. I turned around and got my car dropped off at another shop the same day when they told me the repair cost. And not only that I got it all done for $500 bucks and within only a couple hours. There should be a law preventing dealerships from ripping people off like this. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE unless you like wasting your hard earned money. All the bad reviews hold true on this one. Be careful shopping here. Especially dealing with the sales guy Jerry. If they are able to conceal something they will do it. Customer service isn't something they value after they get your money. My 84 year old grandmother bought a car a couple weeks ago and she doesn't drive much so hasn't needed gas. The gas door doesn't open (who thinks to check that when looking at a car) the dealership filled up the car so they knew this wasn't working. They just pryed the door open. Which when she went back to them that was jerry's solution just use your key to pry it open. Thats great for and old woman to have to do every time she gets gas. If I could give 0 stars, I would! I dropped my vehicle off for some repairs in March 2024. My warranty paid the dealership upwards of $12,000 and we have had nothing but problems since we got it back. The main issue being fixed was my timing chain and replace the radio. After getting my car back initially the car was rattling and there was a sound like a loose clip in the dash. I brought the car back and they insisted there was no noice. I had to speak with the GM (Kevin) because service department was getting me nowhere. Kevin then had a technician do a ride along with me and the technician then heard the noise. Brad, the service writer insisted that these noises would not be covered under my warranty and I would have to pay out of pocket to fix work they were paid for from my warranty company. I dropped it and took my car. A month later we noticed that my car had an oil leak and was not holding antifreeze. We thought maybe it was something new wrong, but low and behold it was an issue with the work GMC had done. We took it back to the dealership and they took a look at it. Come to find out, the Mechanic who did the work "forgot" to add a gasket to my timing chain, causing oil to leak. Also "forgot" to hook up the hose for my antifreeze, causing it to leak. A-lot of forgetting of your everyday job, I would say. They offered to fix it, that was great. Got my car back and now the A/C doesn't work. I took it back up there, once again they "forgot" to put freon back into the A/C. They recharged it and I went home. But the next day it wasn't working again. Took it back and they said they would fix it as it was their error, but shortly after got a call back that it would cost me $1900 to fix it because they "never touched the A/C components. Wierd how you "forget" to put freon back in, but never touched it....ironic. This is a money racket and I don't know how these mechanics and service writers sleep at night knowing they are causing more problems for people. I have 3 children who now have to ride in a hot car due to Ben Mynatt GMC error. read more

I went here because I needed an oil change. WilMar is where I usually take my car for certain services l, like oil changes, tire rotation, etc. WilMar is closed on Saturdays and I was going out of town. Therefore, I went up the road to Ben Mynatt's quick lube. I have gone here before in the past but I promise you, I will not be returning. When Mike was the manager, things were much better overall. I have never paid $115 for an oil change for my 2011 Lexus ES350. If they would have told me the cost up front then I promise you, I would have turned around and left the lot. The service was okay but nothing like it was when Mike was the manager. It appears as though none of the old crew works there anymore. You'll should also take down the picture with Mike and the old crew. Also, there are no prices for services posted on the wall and they didn't say that it would cost $115 for an oil change. One good point was that the young man who changed the oil was unsuccessful in resetting my oil change required notice on my car. However, a young African American worker, willingly stepped in and took care of the reset. He was very professional and polite. read more

I relocated to NC earlier this year and was skeptical about finding a new service center for my vehicle. I ultimately took my car to the Ben Mynatt Chevrolet Service Center and I couldn't be any happier with that decision. Lori assisted me with setting my appointment over the phone. She was extremely personable, upbeat and friendly which eased my skepticism. On the day of my appointment, she greeted me with that same outgoing personality that I experienced over the phone. After confirming my appointment and handing over the keys to Lori, I headed to the waiting area where I was greeted shortly thereafter by Mr Earl. I must say my interaction with Mr Earl was just as pleasant, as he assisted with transportation to and from the dealership. Kudos to Mrs. Lori and Mr. Earl. Finally the work performed on my vehicle was as expected. The price was fair and I was able to pick up my car the next day with all of my concerns addressed. My A/C went out in November so I took my 2019 SUV in to Ben Mynatt for service. Lori was my service advisor and she told me that my extended warranty with Allstate would not cover the cost to diagnose it if a "hard part" could not be pinpointed for repair. They put in dye and refrigerant to try to find the leak but could not find it. They told me to pick it up, drive it around for a few weeks and then bring it back in if the A/C still didn't work. I paid $694.04 for that visit but Lori said that I may be able to get reimbursed by Allstate if I bring my vehicle back within a short period of time and they find the broken part. Three weeks later and my car is back at the dealership. This time, they can see dye leaking from the evap core. Ben Mynatt keeps my car for several days, orders parts, takes my dashboard apart, replaces the broken "hard part," puts everything back together, fills up the refrigerant and files the claim with Allstate. When Lori called me to tell me my car was ready for pick up, I asked her why the $694.04 from my first visit wasn't part of the claim since the refrigerant they refilled into my system in November is a direct result of a "hard part" that needed to be replaced in December (and was ultimately covered by Allstate). She deflected and focused on how Allstate was covering the refrigerant fill this time, since it had all leaked out in the previous 3 weeks. I asked her again when I was at the service counter, paying my bill and she said that her hands were tied about the matter and that I would have to take it up with Allstate to get any kind of reimbursement. I paid my $100 deductible and the rest ($2473.72) was covered by Allstate. Afterwards, I called Allstate and was informed that my extended warranty policy only covers one diagnostic fee and one refrigerant fill for the claim, which was paid out to Ben Mynatt in December. Allstate would not be able to pay an additional diagnostic fee and refrigerant fill (directly to me) since they already paid them on the claim that Ben Mynatt filed. I call Lori and question her again about why I am still out the $694.04 when the service department failed to find the leak in November, resulting in the December visit. She talked in circles, again, about how difficult it is to work with extended warranty companies, how Allstate won't pay for diagnostics if a "hard part" isn't broken, and how the service department needed to put dye into the refrigerant in November to diagnose the issue (which is somehow separate from the diagnostic fee associated with my December visit). Bottom line: she won't be doing anything to reverse the November charges. If the service department had been proficient in finding the leak in the first place in November, then this would not have been dragged out for weeks, and I would not have had to pay several hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. Instead, Ben Mynatt has charged me 2 diagnostic fees with 2 refrigerant fills for the same issue, and mismanaged the claim to Allstate. read more

Drew at the service department has no idea of what he talks about; and on top of that rude and unprofessional. I took my car for electrical problems on my 2015 Chevy Cruze, charged 175 for a piece of cable that didn't fix anything and was adamant on replacing the battery when clearly it wasn't the issue as I had tested it before going there at a different shop. This was my first time going to Mynatt for work. I have used Team Chevrolet for 25 years but have grown unhappy with them and needed a dealership I can trust. Mynatt was recommended by several and I thought I would try them. I made an appointment online for Monday morning the next week. I arrived 30 minutes early but that was okay because they didnt know I was coming. The wonderful Chevrolet online system didnt work right although it had emailed me a reminder. I've had that happen at Team also. I got service advisor, Chris and after about 30 minutes he came to tell me what was wrong with my beloved Hank. They wouldnt have the parts to the next day and I asked if they had a rental or something and he arranged for me to take the worlds tiniest car. That was Monday, Hank was supposed to be ready Tuesday but it actually ended up being Wednesday because a part didnt come in, thats fine not a big deal cause I had the worlds tiniest car as back up. I was a bit disappointed that they didnt give Hank a courtesy wash after I spent $1500.00 but maybe that is only if your Chevy comes from there initially. The customer lounge is nice, little baby waters and diet pepsi but no regular pepsi the day I was there but they may never have it, I dont know. Bathrooms by the lounge were out of order but thats okay, more bathrooms upstairs. Chris, my service advisor kept me up to date about what was going on and assured me Hank was okay. All in all, it was an overall good experience, I took off one star for leaving Hank dirty not for anything to do with the work done. Chris was a great advisor. He is all buttoned up and professional but he's got this mystique about him, it kind of draws you in and makes you wanna know a little bit more about the man behind the advisor chair. By that I mean, in a friend way, I think he would be a great guy to hang out with, watch football games, etc. He seems a pretty even keel person which you definately need working with the public. Had an oil leak in which they fixed then later had and sound like metal knocking around in my engine in which they said was normal but I know it wasn't took it back a second time and they said the same thing took it back the third time and they told me that the warranty was out but they will take it apart at my expense which was so unfair. This could have been done when I first took it to them but it was very convenient that they were ready to do this when the warranty had ran out. I do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I had been looking for a place to go since getting my new car. I knew that finding a trustworthy place to have it serviced was extremely important. When I googled Chevrolet dealers, Ben Mynatt came up and was close by. The first time I went, my window had begun to stick and refused to roll up one day when I was on break at work. My car is still under warranty, so I thought what the heck. It was then that I first met David. He did everything he could think of to test my window and recreate the conditions. He added heat, he cooked it down, he put it up and down more times that I probably will within the life of my car. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to make it stick again. Fortunately, it hasn't since. Perhaps it was a one time freak event, or perhaps all of his testing fixed it. The next time I saw David was for an oil change. (I think. I may have the timeline messed up for this visit and the next one.) I was originally told that David wasn't available and they assigned me to a guy named Chris. Lo and behold, David appears in his office and when the man taking my information asked him if he wanted to do the job, he agreed. The third time, I had the emissions light come on in my car. They thought it was something having to do with the thermometer and how eco friendly my car was being. It wasn't until a thorough inspection was done afterwards that a coolant leak was found. A tiny washer was needed to repair the leak. I was sent home with a brand new Cadillac that had next to no mileage. I only had it for one night, as my car was ready to be picked up in the morning. Unpopular opinion, but I learned I prefer my Chevy Cruze over a Caddy any day. This most recent time, as in just yesterday, I had to get my car inspected. I arrived about twenty minutes early, because I really need to learn that it hardly takes any time to drive there. I apologized to the man that checked me in, and he told me that it shows good character. They took me early, and got started inspecting my car right away. She passed with flying colors, no doubt on account of David's handiwork. Then before I left, David ensured I knew exactly what website to go to and how to submit everything. He wasn't "mansplaining", mind you. He politely asked if I had done it before, which I had not. All in all, these men are extremely respectful. They do an amazing job working with cars, as well as making their clientele feel comfortable. I was concerned about going to a car dealership alone as a woman, not for safety's sake, but because I've heard stories of women being ripped off before. (None of these stories come from Ben Mynatt.) Instead, David will offer me discounted rates as an apology if a job takes too long, or as a thank you for being a loyal customer. I actually feel valued as a customer here and will continue to come here for all of my serving needs, perhaps even to buy another car from them when mine finally goes. I can not recommend David and Ben Mynatt enough. If you're on the fence, just go there. You'll see what I'm talking about. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had, what should have been a 1-2 day max repair of a review mirror camera on a 2020 ZL1 turned into a 6 month and counting event. All because the mechanics want to cut corners and broke the main wiring harness, after sitting at the dealership for a month and then feeding us lies saying the parts on the way we contacted GM complaint and had my car back 2 days later. Took it to another dealership only to find out Ben Mynatt had glued the camera to the roof of the car resulting in having to have the roof repainted ($600 under warranty) and now it sits at the other dealership still waiting on parts because now they want to tell us its on back order. Thanks for F*cking up my summer :) Oh and one of the Ben Mynatt service managers had the nerve to say it wasn't his problem I didn't have anything to drive for vacation, well boss when your mechanics break my car it absolutely is. First and last time going here for an oil change. It is barely a certified Chevrolet service center, old building that was in need of a cleaning. I was satisfied with the time it took to complete it, but I had problems with the employees. All had a very dreadful attitude, not personable in any way. The guy who took my car into the bay didnt say anything to me and just gestured for my keys. When in the waiting room, looking through the windows I saw the "techs" acting unprofessional. All of whom I assume are around 20 years old. One was taking pictures of my car, probably sending them to his friends, another was eating a bag of chips over my engine, and another guy went under the hood of my car wearing street clothes rather than his work appropriate attire. All of that driving me crazy in the waiting room just for the lady at the desk to tell me my total was $100.96 for 6 quarts of oil and a filter. I recommend visiting another Certified Chevrolet dealership service department. The drive to another town will be worth me not pulling my hair out of my head. read more

We purchased a brand new 2019 GMC Arcadia April 2019. All was fine until July 2019. Not long after our 1st maintenance service we began to have problems with our AC. After 2 days of negative noticeable change in the AC temperature it completely went out!!! NO AC in a brand new vehicle mid July in NC!!!! We were not happy!! We took the truck to Ben Mynatt. There was no service manager available, however no one really knew what was wrong. They kept our 7 passenger vehicle and decided they could only give us the smallest vehicle they had on the lot as a loaner.... a Buick Encore! This was the 1st customer service mistake!! We purchased a 7 passenger vehicle for a reason, why would you put us in anything smaller! When this was mentioned we were advised that this was the only loaner vehicle available on a dealership lot of several blocks with full inventory of Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles of all models! We returned for our vehicle and was told that our antifreeze was low, which made no sense for the age of our car. So, more antifreeze was added and we were sent on our way. Within 2 weeks we had the same problem. AC out again!!!! We took the vehicle back again! We were given the same Buick Encore loaner again for days until We demanded a larger vehicle to not inconvenience our family!!! After requesting to speak with THE service manager on several occasions, we still had not heard from one at this point! Fast forward 2 weeks, and our brand new 2019 vehicle was still at Ben Mynatt with no updates provided unless we called. We continued to get rude feedback from the service associate like he was mad because we would call about our vehicle every 3 days or so!!! Finally, it was determined the we had a manufacture defect. However, there was NO ETA on the part needed to fix our vehicle and again the customer service was horrible in discussion of this issue. We were pretty much told to to wait and and be happy with the loaner provided because it was nothing else they could do. There has been NO urgency or empathy from Ben Mynatt staff during this issue. We are going into 1 month now in this loaner which drives, but has none of the luxuries we paid for in our new vehicle. We still have no ETA on this "part". It has been established and recorded that this is a defect in the AC system of the GMC Arcadia with numerous issues in other vehicles, however who knows if or when when this would become a recall. We have been up to this dealership approximately 10+ times to speak to someone face to face due to the horrible attitude and lack there of response from our service associate. The 1st time we have spoken to the service manager was about 4 days ago, however to be honest it's just too little to late. Whenever we get our vehicle back we now have to worry about what problems are looming with this vehicle that will cost us $$$ outside the warranty and caused by all this pulling apart by Ben Mynatt. Due to the age of our vehicle, factory defect status, and the almost 2 months spent thus far addressing this issue of course we asked to be made whole by allowing us to purchase a new vehicle (same price, same model, accessories, etc). However, of course Ben Mynatt would rather lose our business, any business we would recommend, and risk future business related to this buyer beware and horrible customer experience rather than take a smaller loss of a couple thousand dollars (maybe) to do the right thing in this situation!!! We completely understand defects/recalls and the relationships between corporate GMC and Ben Mynatt, however sometimes extensive issues require deviation from normal protocol. To summarize our contacts: Joey Black = A+ Finance Lady = A+ Garrett = A+++++++++++++++ We're lucky to have met the finance lady down the road - but if it wasn't for Joey Black calling us in we could have wound up buying from the other dealership. However, if it wasn't for GARRETT we would have left your dealership and sought out other options. As a practice manager for over 20 years I've got to say, you guys are very very lucky to have someone like Garrett on your team. I also expect a refund of the fees you charged me for missed diagnosis of the issues. After further research on the "Service Column Lock" issue, it became apparent this is a "left-over" issue from the C5's (that was recalled by the way for the C5's). My entire experience on 2/8/2021 close to closing time was impeccable. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating to every need. My Sales Professional was Kenneth Mann, who took the time to listen to all my needs and did not push me to buy in that moment. I traded in a Silverado, which they gave a more than fair price on. Kenn and Kevin Smith both worked very hard to get me out the door with the payment that my family needed. This was not your normal card dealership experience, they hold a very high standard for customer service. My family and I will be returning to this local dealership in the future. Buyer Beware: The dealership raised the price of a car listed online by over $7,000 after receiving lots of interest in it. I was also told that there would be a $500-$1000 cash transaction fee if I didn't finance through them, when there are no disclosures about such on their website. Please do not expect these folks to go out of their way when it comes to making sure you're taken care of. I don't care if they could fix everything to perfection in your car, the awful customer service isn't worth it. We brought our car in this month and are already having to take it back in for issues that were not fixed the first time. The only thing keeping this from being a 1 star review is the fact that the lady on the phone wished me a happy new year. read more

The worse experience ever! I guess women are not worthy of good customer service at least not at this location. I asked the lazy salesman about the particular car I wanted. He said "used? We don't have any" and walked back inside. What happened to taking down the customer's contact information just in case one comes in or maybe checking other locations? Maybe he doesn't think women should buy Cadillacs? This woman will take her check elsewhere. Very disappointing.... read more
