Another location in Torrance! Located in the Encore Plaza, it's hidden inside one of the building with a small food court inside. Ben Scoops offers ice cream. It just recently ranked one of the best ice cream in USA according to Yelp. It's filipino based or owned or something. Not too sure. I got the double scoop ($8.50) with chocolate and matcha. It was pretty good. Melts a bit fast, but overall pretty good. Service was relatively quick. They even sell ice cream in pre packaged pints. Would definitely be back since I come to this plaza like once a month.
This place is so cute! Located inside The Enclave, lots of free parking available but can and WILL get busy from all the other shops. Service was great, the girl who helped me was very kind in suggesting popular menu items. Avocado & Ube ice cream is a MUST. So refreshing. Would happily come back.
The ice cream here was just okay. If anything, the texture of the ice cream was good. As a Filipino I tend to be stricter with Filipino flavors. Going down the list of flavors I tried: -Avocado: I couldn't really taste the avocado flavor to be honest. As a general ice cream it was solid, but I wasn't really getting much flavor. -Ube: Similar sentiments as the Avocado. I did like the grainy bits which are reminiscent of Ube, but the flavor could've been stronger. -Durian: I have an okay relationship with Durian lol. This was the best in terms of execution. Good durian flavor and even on point with the smell haha. -Halo-Halo: This was okay. Its like the Ube flavor with added toppings like red bean. Kind of disappointing that they don't let you taste the ice cream before purchasing. The pricing was decent. The ice cream stall is located in a food court area. There's free parking. Overall, a lot was left to be desired. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this. If I did try this place again, I'd probably get the non-Filipino flavors.
Super nice cream. There were about 10-15 different international flavors. It was about $7.50'for a regular scoop (two scoops, two flavors)!! I got the durian and lichee. The lichee was spot on and was delicious. The durian was super strong (good!) but I couldn't taste anything else after the first bite. That's a good thing! Service was super friendly. Located in a food court area with other food vendors. I'm a fan!
Craving a shake and it comes with 2 flavors. I wanted strawberry and wasnt sure what other flavor and they recommended mango. It actually was good! Decent size and optional whip. My friend had a small ube and lychee ice cream. They were super quick and nice and Id come back to try the other flavors.
I tried the hojicha ice cream. The small is $7-8 and they do give 2 scoops which was filling. You can get up to 2 flavors in the small size. But at 3pm on a Saturday, they were unfortunately out of a lot of flavors :/ The hojicha flavor was just right! The ice cream was fairly creamy but not the most creamy I've had. I would expect to like their ice cream more for a place that's rated so highly but just my opinion. The workers are kind too!
Saw all the hype on TikTok. Decided to check it out. I thought the name was unique but it's also functional. It's Ben scoops.... ice cream that someone else has made. It's located in a lively food hall inside of the Enclave. The service was nice. They were out of many of their flavors. I thought for the price, they were more like scoops instead of SCOOPS. The ice cream was just okay. The banana ice cream wasn't banana-y. The vanilla with almonds was just okay. Bottom line: I wouldn't seek this out. If I was at the enclave, I'd get a scoop if I was in the mood.
The ice cream was delicious! Asked the guy about the flavors and he was really nice and gave me recommendations on combinations. I got the durian and mango. It tasted so fresh, It has pieces of durian in it.
My friend and I came Sunday afternoon and didn't realize it was in a plaza with plenty of other food options. Plenty of parking in the front and back so no worries on that. You order at the register and then they will call your name through a window. I got the grasshopper pie and strawberry. It was really good. Honestly I liked the strawberry more than the grasshopper pie. It just tasted like real strawberries. Combo seems weird but it was good. I would come again to try their other flavors. There are a lot of seating inside and outside. They also have restrooms.
Easy eats ice cream with a bunch of Filipino flavors. Went after dinner for a bit of dessert. Parking was a bit confusing - there's a lot of electric vehicle parking (which should have but did not think to use), but found regular parking further out. The ice cream spot is in the food court area near the restrooms. Menu consists of many different Filipino and some regular flavors. Ended up getting a split scoop of ube and macapono. Was well made - def more natural tasting than others I had. Would def come back!
Stopped by for lunch at the Enclave, and decided to walk around and stumbled across this little gem. Ben Scoops has a great assortment of Filipino inspired flavors and regular ice cream flavors. By the time I got there later in the afternoon a lot of their flavors were sold out. I ordered a small, which comes with 2 scoops; I ordered the coconut pineapple and halo halo. The coconut pineapple stole the show for me; rich, creamy coconut flavor with a hint of pineapple. Refreshing and delicious. The halo halo was also creamy with bits of agar, beans, and other fillings, it was solid. I love this place, highly recommend.
Ice cream place inside The Enclave food court. They were out of a few flavors and they don't offer samples. I had the rocky road which was good and hubby had the durian which he LOVED. Not a place I would seek out but it's good it's in the food court.
Flavors are unique but it's not the best ice cream I've ever had. The avocado one is a bit sweet for me but I think it's def worth a try.

a hidden gem i never knew about until a few days ago... WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED DESSERT? they carry unique ice cream flavors that i've never had before and they did not miss. service was great, the worker was kind and attentive to give me samples of his favorite flavors. the shop itself is cute and very clean and the price? it was good for what you were getting. i got a single scoop but it was 4 scoops which surprised me. i had the halo halo with pistachio and both were simply amazing. overall, i was very happy with this place. will definitely be coming back to try more flavors! read more

Found this place on a whim after a night of sushi and really loved it. I love the fresh and unique flavors that you won't necessarily get anywhere else and the owner (I think he was the owner lol) was extremely friendly and helpful. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Nino! Cool guy and very nice I was able to sample the different flavors they had. Oh. My. Gosh. Hands down some of the best ice cream ever. The flavors are unlike anything you've ever had. Never in a million years did I think I'd like avocado ice cream but holy cow it was so delicious. I dream about the coconut ice cream!!!! The place was so cute and the owner is so kind and genuine. Was looking for a new ice cream shop to try in the area and saw Ben Scoops. The place stocks flavors from a place called Mitchell's ice cream up in SF, which I hadn't heard of, but saw had awesome reviews. The owner Ben is awesome and encouraged us to try as many flavors as possible...such a kind guy! We ended up sampling the espresso toffee crunch and toasted almond and both were delicious, so much so that we got 1/2 gallon and a quart!! Will be coming back read more

I finally had the chance to visit Ben Scoops today, and it really did not disappoint! The shop itself is quite spacious and located in an unassuming shopping plaza with decent parking. I went around 2:30PM so it wasn't too busy or crowded. The ice cream sold here had a good mix of classic and Filipino flavors (ube, halo-halo, langka, etc). I also really appreciate that I could sample plenty of flavors before deciding which ones to get. In terms of taste, it was creamy and rich and not too sweet or artificial tasting. Then add on the almond brittle, it makes the ice cream taste even better. A triple costed me $10.50 + tax (around $11). When it comes to good quality ice cream, I am willing to pay a higher price tag and I think the cost of ice cream at Ben Scoops isn't too expensive at all (around the same price of good quality artisanal and independently owned ice cream spots in SoCal). They don't skimp when it comes to their ice cream scoops and the almond brittle - which is a plus for me. Lastly, props to Nino who helped me that day! He was very friendly, helpful, and did not rush me whatsoever when I was sampling the flavors or deciding on what to get. Definitely worth the drive up from OC and I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. read more

One of my Yelp profile pics shows me enjoying my all-time favorite ice cream... Mitchell's Ice Cream in San Francisco. Having spent my childhood in the Philippines, there's nothing like Filipino ice cream flavors that remind me of home, and Mitchell's specializes in a wide selection of Filipino flavors. Thanks to Ben Scoops, I don't have to do the trek to the Bay Area to get Mitchell's! Just a short drive to the City of Carson... 5 stars!!!!! Ben Scoops offers scoops as well as half gallon tubs of Mitchell's most popular flavors. Yes, the selection is not the complete set of flavors you can get in San Francisco, but Ben Scoops offers a pretty good variety to choose from. According to Ben, the business owner, expect seasonal flavors to rotate from time to time, so there should always be a new flavor to try out every time you visit. My all time favorite is the Avocado, but any of the Filipino-inspired flavors will not disappoint, such as Mango, Halo Halo, Cantaloupe, and Ube. Mango happens to be the most popular flavor at Mitchell's and perhaps soon to be the most sought after offering at Ben Scoops. Yes, I'm very partial to the Filipino flavors, but there's also other typical American flavor offerings! Almost Thanksgiving time, and it's time to give thanks... Thank you to Mitchell's Ice Cream for agreeing to have Ben Scoops carry their delicious ice cream in SoCal! According to Ben, it took a long time to convince them! Thank you to Ben for your persistence for bringing the taste of Mitchell's Ice Cream to SoCal! Finally, thank you to fellow Yelper and friend, Alana M., for posting pics about Ben Scoops. A heads up, this shop is sorta hidden at the plaza it's in, so keep your eyes peeled! The interior of the shop is very cutesy, you'll find cute little Filipino figurines and their supercool purple background for the potential ice cream photo op-- Ben, the shop owner happened to be serving us one day and he was very pleasant and easy to talk to :) We got to sample many of the ice cream flavors and it was difficult to decide which one to get because each flavor was so delicious! I personally LOVE the mango flavor, it definitely hits home. There's something about the Philippine mango that taste different (in the best way) and the way Ben made it, I'd say he definitely got it down when it came to the flavor! This ice cream shop was so cute in a plaza with multiple establishments! The parking lot can get busy but we were able to find parking on a Friday night around 8PM. It's tucked away in a little corner so it may be a little hard to spot at first. The man working was so helpful and kind, a real gem! He let us know that you are also able to buy any ice cream in a pint or quart size, and you can mix flavors! A lot of the flavors are Filipino-inspired. I go the espresso toffee crunch which was seasonal and my boyfriend got the halo-halo and ube. Both were so good and I definitely got a good amount of ice cream for a single scoop. The hubs and I decided to venture out with the kiddos and have South Bay eats day. On our must try list was Ben Scoops - a newer ice cream shop that was bringing the flavor from Northern Cali. Our curiosity was sparked mainly because of the flavors we saw on their menu like avocado, langka aka jackfruit, ube, and mango. We were hoping it was as delicious as it sounded. The shop itself is nestled in the corner between a dentist office and a sports medicine place. The decor was playful and fun - I loved the mural on their wall. Some flavors ARE seasonal, but the ones we wanted to try that day were all there. We had the pleasure of meeting Ben Scoops himself, and he let us sample as many flavors as we wanted, and honestly it made it even harder to decide. I mean, I'm typically not a chocolate ice cream kinda gal, but their chocolate is rich, creamy and decadent. It truly made it hard to stick to a single scoop, but perhaps they had foresight in the dilemma customers would be having because you can choose up to two different flavors for the single scoop! I narrowed mine down to Avocado and Macapuno, my husband got the Avocado and Langka. The avocado was creamy, subtle, and light. The macapuno had chunks of coconut, creamy and delicious. BUT...the langka and avocado combo my husband got was the winner. I wasn't too crazy about the langka by itself, but combine that with the avocado and BAM, instant tastebud gratification. I actually can't describe how great it tasted, I just know that those two flavors were meant to be together. The kiddos shared the raspberry (?) sorbet. I totally didn't get the name, but it was equally delicious and a dairy free option for those that have a battle with dairy. Overall I will say I was more than bummed to find out that we could buy this ice cream in bulk (they have quarts available at the front for purchase), and we didn't think to bring a freezer bag. Big Bummer. It just means that we'll need to make the trip and plan ahead next time. Until then Ben Scoops, keep on scooping, keep on scooping! read more

I love Ben Scoops. The ice cream here is creamy and really tasty. I love getting the banana flavor and pistachio ice cream as a combo. But yesterday I went and decided to try something new I got the toasted almond with chocolate caramel crackle and this combo was so delicious. What I love about this place so much is that I'm lactose intolerant but I'm able to tolerate this type of ice cream I don't really get a reaction. I'm so happy to have a place that satisfies my ice cream addiction. read more
