    Strawberry and Hokey Pokey
    Rita W.

I have to admit that we went to Creamy Boys because of their name... and that we were curious of New Zealand ice cream. Small spot with an ordering area and a pick up area. They also have some bumper stickers and other things re their name. Pretty cute and funny. My daughter had a blast. A friend and I each tried their Hokey Pokey (New Zealand flavor, crunchy honeycomb toffee blended through vanilla ice cream & sprinkled on top). Looked amazing and generous on the toppings in / throughout as well. Only issue we had that it was super melty, and it wasn't even warm that night in this area. We were both trying to eat it quickly since it was dripping rather badly... creamy.. definitely creamy! Their special flavor the day we went was matcha, but they were sold out of it, so my daughter got their strawberry. That one wasn't as melty as ours, but still a bit. We all got a bit messy with these because of that. Good flavor and texture though. Would try another flavor if I'm back round this beach area!

Really delicious soft serve and dessert option in El Segundo! Very simple menu to choose from and packed with plenty of flavor if you're looking for a tasty summer time ice cream/soft serve option. tried the Mixed berry flavor this trip and was very satisfied with the quality. Always friendly staff there whenever we visited the shop. Easy access off of Grand if you're familiar with the downtown El Segundo area. Little bit pricey for soft serve but overall would highly recommend!

Have been a fan of creamy boys and trying it for first time when the ice cream truck coming to our office. The server was super helpful as I was asking if I could do a mix flavor of berry and hokey pokey then he offered the berry one with Hokey Pokey topping. It's perfectly creamy, nice portion and flavor with fresh berries mixed-ins! The hokey pokey toppings added yummy and fun crunchy texture to the ice cream.

Creamy Boys is a cute little ice cream stand right across the street from the Hermosa Beach courtyard & pier. I believe all of their flavors have a non-dairy alternate which is a major plus. Given the simplicity of the menu, the service here is relatively quick. The person that took my order answered my questions promptly and confidently, guiding me as I browsed the menu. I personally think this place is a on the pricier side, but you can truly the taste the quality of the ice cream here. I genuinely enjoyed my kids sized Hokey Pokey! Vanilla ice cream topped with toffee honeycomb crunches. If you were a fan of the dalonga coffee phase on social media back in 2020, you'll enjoy this classic New Zealand flavor. I'm looking forward to trying the Hokey Pokey on a cone or switch it up to the mixed berry flavor next time. See you guys next time :)

I can't believe I've never left a review for Creamy Boys! I first had them at a festival a few years ago and was excited to learn they had a location by me! Whenever I'm in Hermosa or near by, I always pick CB. Their Hokey Pokey flavor is my favorite and I love trying the limited flavors. Ordering is easy, just walk up to the window and place your order. Sometimes I seat at the tables or take a walk on the beach. I recommend them to everyone!

I forget the name of this yogurt & its my favorite one! Its so delicious! I love the topping on tops. Its kind of like toffee but its not toffee lol. Its a walk up window, you order your yogurt, and your given your yogurt on the other side of a window. They are pretty fast with their service. They have a variety of options. Quick service, in and out quick. It's a very calm area. It can get a little hectic at night. They also have benching on the outside to sit and enjoy your yogurt!

Regular size Hokey Pokey. It's delicious.

I went up to the little ordering window and was shocked when they told me they sold New Zealand ice cream and not gay porn which is what I was craving. I mean, the name of the place says it all. It took me a while to get over this but I figured I would just get some ice cream and get my porn fix elsewhere. The ice cream is indeed very creamy and delicious. It is also very expensive. The regular size, which is like Starbucks' version of "tall," was a stiff $6. That price is hard to swallow. We tried the Hokey Pokey which is a honeycomb/toffee/vanilla concoction. It is great stuff but it was gone in a flash. I would love to give them 5 stars but I can't do it because of the expense. I know prices of everything are through the roof right now but that is my review. When I find the porn, I will review that, too.

This has become our regular ice cream spot. We get it at least once a week! I finally decided to try the coffee one and loved it. Also enjoyed the thin mint ice cream, the banana one is also 10/10 !!! Customer service is always great and there's always a long line in the evenings, but they get the orders out right away.

Had to drop a quick review for Creamy Boys because this spot absolutely hit. We tried the vanilla and the Hokey Pokey, and both were solid but the Hokey Pokey was on another level. Seriously, it was phenomenal. Perfect balance of creamy texture with those little honeycomb crunch bits... I was halfway through and already regretting not going bigger. The vanilla was clean and classic (always a good test), but that Hokey Pokey is the one you go back for. Cool little beachside vibe, quick service, and just one of those places that delivers exactly what you want when the ice cream craving hits. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Hermosa just do yourself a favor and don't undersize it like I did.

So happy I can eat dairy again, and this is definitely the way to do it! Creamy Boys truly lives up to its name. I had the honeycomb flavor, with crunchy honeycomb toffee blended into vanilla ice cream. It was super creamy, perfectly sweet, and absolutely delicious. The staff were upbeat and friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely keeping this spot in the rotation!

Amber is the best creamer so nice great customer service, Logan is also great. I got the Hokey Pokey nice and creamy and the honeycomb toffee gives it a nice textural crunch.

finally visited their brick-and-mortar versus their food truck. The ice cream is definitely creamy. It's kind of like a subtle cold Stone creamery but lacks the chunkiness of the add-ons overall, a very heavy consistency, but didn't disappoint, probably wouldn't come back again.worth the try

    Mixed berry - kids size

Glad I got to try New Zealand ice cream for the first time! I got the mixed berry in a kids size which is around $7-8. This is pricey but the kids size is sizable. It reminded me of an elevated trix berry yogurt (in a good way!). It was very creamy though! If in the area, I would come here again but get the hokey pokey flavor; I did try a bite of this one and I really liked the crunchy but melty and buttery honeycomb and vanilla combination!

Of course the usual x-factors of easy parking, no-wait short lines quick to serve, indoor ice cream parlor seating and the less-than-justified "lower prices, bigger portions" argument everyone has with every food vendor that exists... BUT truth be told, one of the reasons why I rank Handel's so high is the "Value" of the pricing and quantity compared to their peers competition along with the quality.

I think, great since my elderly Dad is diabetic and shouldn't have a lot of ice cream, so I went with that but in a waffle cone, she said that would be $3.50. I said that's fine, I will have one in flavor A and the other one in flavor B, total came to $7.35 And I asked her to put the ice cream cone in a cup, so it would be easier for him to eat in the car as it was extremely hot that day, and I don't want it to drip all over the car. When she gave me the ice cream, it was both flavor in one cone. I told her I wanted 2 separate cone instead of all in one. And then she said it would be another $7, I was in a hurry, so didn't really put too much thoughts into it, and just charge it. So now I look at my charges, so it turns out the same serving, one is at $7.35 and the other is $7. When I get the ice cream, I asked her, so there nothing that is smaller than this. She said there is, but not in a waffle cone, it will be extra with a waffle cone. So I asked $2.50 in a regular cone and additional $3.50 for the waffle cone? She said yes!! I am still confused as to whether they have a smaller serving than small and how much it is. I check on the pricing people posted here and don't see a $2.50/$3.50 smaller size showing. It remains a mystery to me, and I really wanted to know as it will be a hot summer, both my elderly parents, who are diabetic, would probably asked for ice cream, and I really don't want them to have a small each on their own, since it is still a decent size and they don't like the same flavor, so they can't really share a small one.

I like how the ice cream looks soft enough off the scooping area that the person hand packing the quart can do it relatively quickly. Chocolate: I think it's above average, but I won't question it if you think that it's just fine. Chocolate for me has always been about finding that line of "not too sweet" and finding that hint of bitterness to get you down from that sugary high. I feel that this place finds that balance well. While I've been here a few times this is my first formal review. I came with my family one Sunday evening on a hot July day, bypassing several chains on the way, including the new(er) Salt and Straw across the street. The inside is packed to the brim with sweets, small toys, and people, much like a candy shop of old. After reaching the front of the winding line our family shared a Banana Split ($13) - three scoops of ice cream, a split banana, hot fudge, a single dry topping (we chose coconut), whipped cream, and a trio of cherries - about as classic as it comes. The ice cream was good but not exceptional. The chocolate and strawberry were fairly generic, but I liked the third scoop of banana foster ice cream which had a nice banana kick. I doubt this ice cream is home made. The complements and construction to the sundae were great, however, and the flavors came together well. As I would hope for a location like this, the staff are local youths who served with patience and passion. In cases throughout the store are several of their other specialties - ice cream cookie sandwiches, dipped frozen bananas, and more - inviting repeat visits. Prices are elevated but not crazy for such a trendy area, although I would say with the middling quality of the ice cream a couple dollars less would be fine. Overall, Manhattan Beach Creamery is a local landmark worth at least a single visit for anyone in the area. If you can get past the generic, if a little boring, ice cream flavor and rampant commodification of the interior, you'll find a classic ice cream parlor with great service and history. Is it worth a repeat visit? I leave that to you. Food: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it.
