I have to admit that we went to Creamy Boys because of their name... and that we were curious of New Zealand ice cream. Small spot with an ordering area and a pick up area. They also have some bumper stickers and other things re their name. Pretty cute and funny. My daughter had a blast. A friend and I each tried their Hokey Pokey (New Zealand flavor, crunchy honeycomb toffee blended through vanilla ice cream & sprinkled on top). Looked amazing and generous on the toppings in / throughout as well. Only issue we had that it was super melty, and it wasn't even warm that night in this area. We were both trying to eat it quickly since it was dripping rather badly... creamy.. definitely creamy! Their special flavor the day we went was matcha, but they were sold out of it, so my daughter got their strawberry. That one wasn't as melty as ours, but still a bit. We all got a bit messy with these because of that. Good flavor and texture though. Would try another flavor if I'm back round this beach area!
Really delicious soft serve and dessert option in El Segundo! Very simple menu to choose from and packed with plenty of flavor if you're looking for a tasty summer time ice cream/soft serve option. tried the Mixed berry flavor this trip and was very satisfied with the quality. Always friendly staff there whenever we visited the shop. Easy access off of Grand if you're familiar with the downtown El Segundo area. Little bit pricey for soft serve but overall would highly recommend!

The server was super helpful as I was asking if I could do a mix flavor of berry and hokey pokey then he offered the berry one with Hokey Pokey topping. It's perfectly creamy, nice portion and flavor with fresh berries mixed-ins! The hokey pokey toppings added yummy and fun crunchy texture to the ice cream.

Given the simplicity of the menu, the service here is relatively quick. The person that took my order answered my questions promptly and confidently, guiding me as I browsed the menu. I personally think this place is a on the pricier side, but you can truly the taste the quality of the ice cream here. I genuinely enjoyed my kids sized Hokey Pokey! Vanilla ice cream topped with toffee honeycomb crunches. If you were a fan of the dalonga coffee phase on social media back in 2020, you'll enjoy this classic New Zealand flavor. I'm looking forward to trying the Hokey Pokey on a cone or switch it up to the mixed berry flavor next time. See you guys next time :)

Its a walk up window, you order your yogurt, and your given your yogurt on the other side of a window. They are pretty fast with their service. They have a variety of options. Quick service, in and out quick. It's a very calm area. It can get a little hectic at night. They also have benching on the outside to sit and enjoy your yogurt!
I went up to the little ordering window and was shocked when they told me they sold New Zealand ice cream and not gay porn which is what I was craving. I mean, the name of the place says it all. It took me a while to get over this but I figured I would just get some ice cream and get my porn fix elsewhere. The ice cream is indeed very creamy and delicious. It is also very expensive. The regular size, which is like Starbucks' version of "tall," was a stiff $6. That price is hard to swallow. We tried the Hokey Pokey which is a honeycomb/toffee/vanilla concoction. It is great stuff but it was gone in a flash. I would love to give them 5 stars but I can't do it because of the expense. I know prices of everything are through the roof right now but that is my review. When I find the porn, I will review that, too.
This has become our regular ice cream spot. We get it at least once a week! I finally decided to try the coffee one and loved it. Also enjoyed the thin mint ice cream, the banana one is also 10/10 !!! Customer service is always great and there's always a long line in the evenings, but they get the orders out right away.
Had to drop a quick review for Creamy Boys because this spot absolutely hit. We tried the vanilla and the Hokey Pokey, and both were solid but the Hokey Pokey was on another level. Seriously, it was phenomenal. Perfect balance of creamy texture with those little honeycomb crunch bits... I was halfway through and already regretting not going bigger. The vanilla was clean and classic (always a good test), but that Hokey Pokey is the one you go back for. Cool little beachside vibe, quick service, and just one of those places that delivers exactly what you want when the ice cream craving hits. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Hermosa just do yourself a favor and don't undersize it like I did.
So happy I can eat dairy again, and this is definitely the way to do it! Creamy Boys truly lives up to its name. I had the honeycomb flavor, with crunchy honeycomb toffee blended into vanilla ice cream. It was super creamy, perfectly sweet, and absolutely delicious. The staff were upbeat and friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely keeping this spot in the rotation!

finally visited their brick-and-mortar versus their food truck. The ice cream is definitely creamy. It's kind of like a subtle cold Stone creamery but lacks the chunkiness of the add-ons overall, a very heavy consistency, but didn't disappoint, probably wouldn't come back again.worth the try
Glad I got to try New Zealand ice cream for the first time! I got the mixed berry in a kids size which is around $7-8. This is pricey but the kids size is sizable. It reminded me of an elevated trix berry yogurt (in a good way!). It was very creamy though! If in the area, I would come here again but get the hokey pokey flavor; I did try a bite of this one and I really liked the crunchy but melty and buttery honeycomb and vanilla combination!

Stumbled upon this shop in my local area in Hermosa Beach and the staff were friendly and order came out in a snap. I ordered the "seasonal" raspberry ice cream and OMG it was the best EVER!!! I went every day after I was told it's seasonal and would be gone by end of week. So yum! There was hardly a wait . Now It's gone and I am so bummed! I asked the staff to please tell the owners to bring it back! They get their fruit locally and I understand there may be some logistics to make that happen but I am picky when it comes ti ice cream and the raspberry was D.E.V.I.N.E !!!!!!! read more

I am SO PLEASED with this find. They put scooped ice cream in this cool swirly machine to create made-to-order soft serve. The Hokey Pokey was delicious! Dynamic flavor with fun notes of toffee, honey, caramel, and vanilla. Super creamy as the name would suggest. I tried my friend's Raspberry and it wasn't too sweet, with fresh fruit. I also tried the Banana which also had fresh banana. SO GOOD, MUST TRY. The staff let me know I could get any flavor and add the Hokey Pokey topping. The small size is more than enough for one person! It does melt and drip super quickly so you need to eat it quickly too. read more
Cute shop, fast and kind service, and the ice cream is legitimately creamy. We battled a summer weekend parking structure and came out the other side with cones and zero regrets. Hokey Pokey was perfection. Absolutely no notes. My husband ate it like he'd been waiting his whole life for it. Mixed berry was good but needed just a touch more sweetness, and I say this as someone who uses "not too sweet" as a compliment. That's a lot coming from me! Baby got vanilla with "rainbow sprinkles" that turned out to be nonpareils, which promptly bled into the ice cream. We appreciate that sprinkles exist here but the real ones would go a long way, especially for the little ones. One more thing: topping options weren't visible on the menu and I had no idea what was available. That feels like information that would be useful. Minor notes aside, worth every lap around that parking structure. We'll be back. read more

Creamy Boys hits the spot every time. It's a walk-up window only with some seating out front, and the menu is simple but with just enough variety. If you like cream, this is the place for you. I like the Hokey Pokey, vanilla ice cream with house-made honeycomb toffee on top. My sister's menu hack is to order the banana ice cream, and add the toffee. This place is amazing. I always see people lined up for this ice cream and now I understand why. I tried the Hokey Pokey which is their popular flavor and it was so good. It's creamy with crunchy honeycomb toffee inside the vanilla ice cream and it hit the spot. If you can't decide what to get this one is a must try. TL;DR - hokey pokey was fantastic, and I plan to come back! I would love to come back to this place today and tomorrow, and the day after. They're located right on Hermosa ave by the pier. It's the perfect location after you finish eating nearby. They have a variety of flavors but I've only tried their Hokey Pokey. It was instantaneous love! The ice cream was smooth and creamy but they also mix in a delicious crunchy honeycomb toffee into the ice cream AND sprinkle it on top. Usually when a topping gets mixed in, it tends to get soft and soggy, but not this. I could taste the delicious sweetened crunch all the way until the last spoonful of ice cream. I regretted not getting my own, so there WILL be a next time! The service was fast and pleasant. They elaborated on their flavors and what makes New Zealand ice cream unique. As for the ambiance? My siblings and I had dinner at Ryla earlier in the night and wanted ice cream for dessert after walking around Hermosa Beach. Stumbled upon this cute New Zealand style ice cream place and knew right away that we have to try them out! Creamy Boys is a cute little ice cream shop with the front window you can order from and get your ice cream from the back window! The staff were so friendly and quick with the order! They have many options, but we opted for Banana and the Hokey Pokey, as they stood out to us! We were blown away by how good both flavors were! Banana: we were hesitant at first, as we hate artificial banana flavor, but you can def taste that they use real banana! So good!! Sweet and a little tartness from banana! Hokey Pokey: this is their New Zealand specialty flavor with honeycomb toffee! Def on the sweeter side, but I love the combination of honey and caramel-ly flavor! The crunchy toffee on top added so much textures!! We got the small cup for $6 and were surprised by how big the portion was!! Best deal for your bucks for sure!! Yum yum yum! Please don't change your menu, pricing or sizing! There's a reason why creamy boys is so seemingly simple but perfect. We got the Hokey Pokey on a hot summer day and it was delightful. The honey pieces on top tasted like toffee and the ice cream was the perfect consistency. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed their recommendations. Firstly, you may think the name is off-putting and you may want to take a skip it. That would be a mistake. This is a tiny order at the window and pick up at a different window, to go only, ice cream place. They bills themselves as New Zealand style ice cream. I've been to New Zealand and the hokey Pokey flavor. They offer is a very popular in New Zealand. I don't really know what else it has to do in New Zealand though. The promise with this place as they take really high-quality vanilla ice cream, and blend TO ORDER with either fresh fruit or this crunchy honeycomb (hokey pokey). It's some sort of industrial mixer with an extruded. The ice cream is, in fact, creamy and it made this boy very happy. I ordered a banana version and they politely or were able to sprinkle the top of hokey pokey. Unfortunately, they were not able to blend it in and I make up. It's because they have a blender for each flavor and they don't want cross contamination. Bottom line: would highly recommend giving this a try. I am sure I will be back multiple times read more

Soft serve: 5/5 -- we got Hokey Pokey and Strawberry, both were excellent. Texture and flavor on point. Hokey Pokey is a must get! The crunchy topping is incredible. They were also really generous with the portion size for our strawberry! Service: 3/5 -- we came on Saturday night (7/26) and while service was relatively quick, the person taking orders was surprisingly unfriendly which made our experience a little less enjoyable. They also need a better system for calling out completed orders because they called out "Hokey Pokey" at the pick up window and someone who had just ordered immediately took it when we had been patiently waiting. Overall, we would still come back but hoping for friendlier service especially on a nice Saturday night at the beach. read more

I was so excited to try New Zealand ice cream and I was not disappointed at all. The ice cream itself was delicious and creamy--as it should be, right? (I mean "creamy" is in the place's name!) I chose a flavor that is seasonal or only available for a limited time: coffee. It was just the right tone of coffee--you taste it but it is not too strong; it's sweet, not bitter. I asked them to top it with their signature crunchy honeycomb toffee. This was such an awesome combination, especially for someone like me who loves coffee and loves honeycomb but I had never had them together before. Wow, just wow. Pay attention, Starbucks, and thank me later. What a wonderful treat on a beautiful Valentine's Day at Hermosa Beach with my family. read more

A soft serve "New Zealand style" ice cream spot that's very close to Hermosa Beach Pier! They use real fruit in their ice cream flavors and have their core selection + a seasonal that changes every so often. I have been three times already and can note that July, 2025 seasonal is peach. Flavor breakdown: Hokey Pokey - standalone ice cream and cannot be mixed with any of the fruit flavors. It tastes very sweet with the honey comb and has a toffee flavor. Comparable to a caramel/butterscotch and one of my favorite flavors here! I also had a friend order the vegan Hokey Pokey and I personally like it as much if not more than the original base! It's one of the best vegan blends she has tried *** HOWEVER because of the way the ice cream is freshly made, you may find traces of dairy with the vegan flavors*** Mixed Berry - also my favorite of fruit flavors using strawberry, blueberry, blackberries, raspberries. Great as a standalone or possible to mix with the other fruit flavors Strawberry - very good and fresh; I loved it mixed with the banana flavor Banana - very mild real banana flavor but doesn't quite shine through compared to Berry. A friend had it made after so it had a slight pink tinge to it. On a separate visit I mixed with the strawberry and it was really good! Seasonal peach: on a recent visit I tried it and it was mild like the banana and the full peach did not shine through. Order at the counter and they'll make your ice cream on the spot and give it to you on the other side. They do not offer samples on the flavors at this time but they are very good! You can order a kiddy (smaller portion) for $6 or a regular for $8 at this time. Overall it's extremely delicious for the normal ice cream and one of the best vegan blends! Since each batch is made right after the other I will say flavors can be a bit inconsistent depending on the day you go. I will still keep coming here for summer days in Hermosa and beyond- and am curious to see if there will be adjustments in the future to give a full vegan no dairy traces alternative! read more

Wow I'm so creamy right now. This is one of the greatest ice cream experiences of my life. They were NOT lying when they said creamy, this ice cream is MF creamy. Felt like a river flow but not in a melty way. Idk what they put it here but it must be crack or something, you can literally see the sugar crystals in the ice cream, it was fire. Lowk a scoop kinda expensive tho im ngl damn near the price of 3 at other places. All good tho. read more
