Was ordering food for a large group of kids that were traveling to bend for a soccer tournament and…read moreneeded a receipt for reimbursement. As I have done a million times with tap to pay, I started to input my email to get a receipt but the cashier must have advanced the screen past that because it cleared out before I could finish. I asked her for a receipt and after fiddling with system for a few minutes she could not do it and asked the gentleman working with her to help. He also fiddled with it for a few minutes and very rudely asked me, "Why do we have to do this?". I explained why I needed a receipt and that the cashier closed out the transaction before I could input my email and he responded with a very hostile, "That's not likely". Shrugging it off, i helped a few other of the kids in our group put their order, make sure to remind her each time to give me time to input my email. Despite their rudeness, I left a 20% tip on each transaction. They continued to treat me rudely as the food was delivered and randomly gave the kids food from the different orders every time one of the buzzers went off. It was interesting that when my white husband went back to ask for more ketchup they were both extremely friendly and pleasant with him. Terrible, rude service aside, the food was also below average. I would absolutely not recommend the onion rings - at $8 they were comically thin and came with about 6 in the order. The burgers were dry, messy and the buns were hard and stale. The oreo shakes were milky and not fully blended with huge chunks of cookies (like the size of a quarter oreo) at the bottom that you had to try to fish out with the straw. I want the $50 in tips that I gave them back! How on earth do places like this still stay in business?! We would have gotten a better quality meal at any of the big fast food joints. Makes it hard to try to support local businesses in Redmond.

Based on the burger alone, my rating would be at least a 4 - I think they make one of the better burgers in town. It is unfortunate that I cannot buy just a burger. I have only visited the downtown location. The composition of the namesake Bend Burger is excellent. The patty is consistently seasoned and cooked just right with the right balance of the standard veggies and cayenne-based secret sauce. The buns are thicker than I prefer, but I can squish them down fine, juices dripping, so I can take a bite. Burger orders come with an overly-generous portion of fries, at least double the amount of what I might consider a standard portion. It's such a huge portion of fries that it looks like a plate of fries with a side of burger. The potato waste must be enormous here. It seems that the Bend Burger, patty and bun, got slightly smaller and slightly thinner a couple of years ago when beef prices went way up during the recent droughts in the Southwest. To compensate, add more fries? I'd guess the patty of the Bend Burger is roughly 3-3.5oz cooked. Some of the other reviewers seem to really like their standard hand-cut fries - I find them too soggy and are close to what I would expect to get at a dive-bar. The sweet potato fries are often a mixed bag of too dry and too soggy. The garlic fries, tater tots, and sweet potato tots are consistently very good, but I would expect a $3 substitution like this at Zydeco or 10-Below rather than Bend Burger Co. As expected, the substitution portions are generous - one sub of potatoes is likely plenty for 2 people. read more

Clean, quiet, cheerful, friendly, the food looks great. Face masks are optional, we are vaxed. Lucky find for us, we had a rough day stranded on Interstate 97 for seven hours. There's another review coming for not so Good Sam and aaa! Ah I digress. This is a great place to decompress. Soft volume rock n roll. Cool comfortable a/c. Looks like it's a regulars favorite place for big health portions of burgers and fries. My strawberry malt is out of this world fresh and chunks of strawberries. The burgers were very good the flavors blended well the toppings did not over power the meat, the meat was perfectly cooked, juicy not dry not under done. The fresh cut fries were delicious and in good quantity, the onion rings almost stole the show. Crispy not too sweat, and as the picture shows in great quantity. It was not an option to leave any on the plate. Yes they are that good. Onion rings are an upgrade but worth every penny. The homemade sauces are very good for dipping.You can't go wrong by visiting Bend Burger Company. And they have salads. We will be back tomorrow to give the salads a try! read more

The food actually deserves 5 stars. BBC makes the best burgers I've had. But tonight they were running over an hour wait once you ordered to get your food. Actually, I don't even have a problem with that, assuming they tell you that before you order so you have the option to make a different choice. When you order online, there is no message telling you how long it will take. I got there, and after I waited a half an hour and still hadn't received a notification that my food was ready, I went in to check on it. Another 30 minutes. I would have ordered from somewhere else if I had known. Other people walking in were told that immediately, and most walked out. But those ordering online didn't get that message. What is even more strange is that no one seemed busy. If you are that backed up, shouldn't it be all hands on deck? And there was no manager on site. Not saying I won't order from BBC again, I definitely will. I just won't order online unless they fix the problem. I'll call my order in and ask the question. read more

Went there for my birthday and I've been going there since It opened and always had a great burger. Not this time though! We walked in and and noticed it was busy that night and we were told it would be 30 mins before we got our food so no problem. Well an hour later our burgers arrive and guess what worst burger ever. Our burgers were burnt beyond burnt. My burger measured 1 1/2 " x 3" and the rest of the family's were not better . The fries were cold and burnt also. So the waitress stopped by to see how we were doing and we showed her our food and she gasped and apologized. she said here kitchen was off that night and she would get us new burgers in 10 mins. Well 30 mins later our burgers arrived and they were at best mediocre. So one out of 10 or more times is not bad for a good burger about average here in Bend. Just hope next time I get a good burger. read more

Hands down, the best burger I've had in years! The burgers here are nothing short of amazing. The brioche bun, toasted to perfection, paired with the burger, creates a flavor explosion with every bite, thanks to the generous toppings. Missed out on the sweet potato tots this time, but no worries - it just gives me an excellent reason to come back again. The French Fries were super tasty, and the Mirror Pond Burger is a must-try with its great drippy goodness. If you're a burger enthusiast, this place is a gem. Whenever I drive past Bend Burger Company, I swear those delicious aromas permeate through my car, and I have no choice but to succumb to the burgery-goodness. And I never regret my decision to stop here! The food is fresh (this is NOT fast food, so don't go in here expecting a super-quick bite!), the service is always friendly, and the establishment is clean. Their Bend Burger sauce would be good on anything. And definitely get one of their shakes, if you're in the mood! They make those old-style shakes where they give you the tin and everything. A Burger Restaurant That Takes Its Work Seriously…read more Redmond Burger Company is the kind of place that does not need to advertise itself. Word gets around, and once you visit, you understand why. The staff here deserve particular recognition. There is a young man with a moustache who works the floor with quiet competence. He is attentive without being intrusive, and he knows the menu well. Even more impressive was our server, a redheaded young woman whose name I believe is Kaia. She was genuinely warm, unhurried, and clearly takes pride in her work. This is not something you can train into a person. She simply has it. The food is very good. The burgers are made with care and the portions are honest. The fries and onion rings are prepared in house, and you can taste the difference. Nothing on the plate felt like an afterthought. For families, this is an excellent choice. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are patient with children. In summer, the patio is particularly pleasant. It catches the Oregon sun well and has a comfortable, unhurried feeling that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Redmond is lucky to have a place like this. We will certainly return.
