Some of the best ice cream and cookies in Birmingham! I got the ooey gooey ice cream with a snickerdoodle cookie on top and it was AMAZING. Such a cute little shop with friendly workers, the perfect place for a sweet treat after dinner
Stopped in for something sweet after dinner and so glad we did. There were 2 nice young ladies working and they were very helpful in telling us about the flavors. We were able to sample a couple before making a decision. I settled on the apple pie and it was delicious! The ice cream is so creamy and full of flavor. They also have cookies and a couple of other items. I highly recommend Bendy's for a sweet treat.
Such a lovely place! Their ice cream with cookies are absolutely wonderful. The service is very friendly, and the owners are so kind! This is one of the best places to get a sweet treat in Birmingham!
i would recommend staying far away from this business. i went here recently for the first time and there were multiple pieces of glass in my ice cream. when i emailed management, my concerns basically got brushed off and they stopped responding all together. i obviously will not ever return and i encourage others to do the same for their own safety. this business did not take my very pressing concerns seriously.
All I can say is that this is really good cookies and ice cream parlor. The establishment is clean and the service was great. I ordered the pistachio crunch ice cream with the chocolate caramel pistachio cookie. Looking forward to trying different flavors and cookies.
I've cream so good I almost forgot to take a picture. Hands down, this is some of the best ice cream in Birmingham- and it's homemade! Staff is friendly and the put up with my many sample requests. The inside is always super clean and well crept!
This was my first time visiting their brick and mortar. I've visited their truck many , many years ago and liked the product. I came in on a mid Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded but a steady crowd. I sampled peach cobbler ice cream and strawberry. I ended up getting a single scoop of the peach cobbler ice cream and a banana pudding cookie. Such an odd duo but both were delicious. The cookie was nice and moist. The ice cream, creamy and refreshing! The staff was friendly/helpful. They welcomed trying samples. I enjoyed this nice little treat on a hot summers day in Alabama! Hit the spot! Their location in Trussville will be opening real soon.... I'm excited because that's a lot closer to me!
Yelp! I'm on these cookies. I can't get passed the cookies to eat the ice cream. I love them ALL! Peanut butter, snickerdoodle and my ultimate favorite, Dem Oatmeals! Hands down, this stuff here is good. OMG! Lord help me not to drive to Bendy's, everyday. Y'all don't know, but I gets on stuff. Without a doubt in my mind, I'll be back.
Needing something sweet, and seeing on the neighborhood pages tht this foodtruck was coming near, we decided to give it a try. I normally am not much of a cookie person, so I was intending to just order some of the ice cream. However, when we got there, there was a huge line - thankfully everyone was social distancing by standing 6ft apart in the line - and it gave me time to rethink my decision. I saw they had double chocolate cookies, and I decided to try their ice cream sandwich, since that's what they are known for and they allow a lot of customization. I could always just get the ice cream out of the middle if I didn't like the cookies. I was glad I did - it was delicious. I will get that again next time they're in town! Hopefully there won't be such a long wait though on the next visit.
Found the Food Truck nearby and decided I had to give it a try. Disappointed they didn't have the Ooey Gooey Cake flavor I was looking forward to, but the Blueberry Cheesecake was really good. I now follow them on Insta so I can see when they will be back in the area and would definately give their brick & morter a try when in the area.

I'd really like to give a higher review for no other reason than the professional service with a friendly smile that the girl working behind the counter offered. Quick to great me as I walked through the door and offered to let me sample the flavors of ice cream. As friendly of service as I've had anywhere. Settled on the sweet cream as a shake. She said she would have it up in a minute, and to her word she got it made quickly and I was on my way. The problem, $6 for a shake isn't necessarily unreasonable. $6 for a shake that is served in a cup the size of what most restaurants give a way as their free cup to get water in is absolute highway robbery! Very disappointed that they thing this is reasonable. It's really unfortunate, they are located in a nice spot right next to several lunch places, making them really convenient to pop in and grab a sweet treat to top off your lunch or dinner. I honestly think this was a one and done for me. The ice cream didn't merit a price point like what they are selling it for. Great service, but still not enough to carry that price point.
Yummy!! So yummy we came for the cookies, and they did NOT disappoint!! But I HAD to try some ice cream.. IT WAS delicious!!! I'm so glad we got it, too!

First time trying Bendy's and it did not disappoint! Got a scoop of the strawberry buttermilk and birthday cake cookie dough, both packed with great flavor. The staff was friendly and let me sample a few different flavors before deciding, which I always appreciate. Went around 4pm on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded, which was nice since the parking lot is a bit small -- worth keeping in mind if you're going during a busier time. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely be back to try more flavors! read more
Best ice cream sandwich in Birmingham! Locally owned, great location and family friendly. I have only tried the yooey gooey cake ice cream because it's my favorite and why change it up?! It's so good! Not too sweet! The cookies are to die for! Soft, huge and warm! read more

I decided to be a total kid today and eat dessert for lunch! I won't make it a habit, but Bendy's was nearby and I'm an ice cream fanatic so the inevitable happened. I've heard great things about Bendy's ice cream sandwiches from friends so I've been meaning to try them for a while. I showed up at the food truck at a great time because I was able to order immediately. I decided to try a scoop of the Cookie Butter Ice Cream with a Chocolate Chip Cookie. My total came to $4.00, which was a good price for the amount of ice cream and the size of the cookie. Both the ice cream and cookie were really good. I can definitely see myself buying from the food truck again. The service was good and the food was good so you couldn't go wrong with giving Bendy's a try like I did today! read more

This was a very nice surprise. We were walking in the summit, and like a light, there was the Bendy's cookies and cream truck. I got a scoop and it was plenty, in a good way. I like ice cream but I'm not a huge sweets fan. But this ice cream was perfect. It was sad they were out of cookies. (Only reason 4 stars instead of 5). Because i really wanted to try them. Maybe next time. read more

Me and my boyfriend came during valentines weekend as a new dessert place on our adventure of new places and when I say we ate our ice cream sandwiches before it even had time to melt the cookies warm soft and delicious highly recommend to everybody read more
I've loved bendys for years and am so glad to see them with their new brick and mortar location. I went outside my normal and got the banana pudding ice cream on toffee cookies as a sandwich. Both were so rich in flavor. A great treat to end my night. One tip I should've taken for myself is to get a single scoop and add a cookie instead of getting the sandwich. The two cookies was a bit of a sugar overload. read more

Got a call from someone today telling me that we should go and get cookies and ice cream from this truck since it was parked nearby. I can see why it gets such good reviews. It's super clean, has a nice selection of cookies and ice cream, and the prices are more than reasonable. 3 of us ordered a variety of cookies, ice cream, and ice cream sandwiches and everyone was pleased. Friendly people, very clean setup, and interesting flavors with good prices. What more could you ask for? If you see this truck, get a cookie, or a dozen. You'll be glad you did. read more

This is a great cold treat on a hot summer day or dessert ice cream and cookie truck! I have been enjoying them along with my daughter and friends for a while now. They offer a nice selection of cookies and they sell them by the dozen as well! The chocolate chip cookies are one of the best in town, with strawberry buttermilk ice in the center to make their version of the ice cream sandwich. It's a nice family run operation, have never not see a line or a steady flow of people coming up to enjoy a cold treat! They are at the summit and Ross Bridge regularly. They also frequent the food truck rallies around town! It's fairly priced and well worth the price! read more

By the way, Bendy's has a store now right by Martin's BBQ in Vestavia! They are allowing socially distanced dine in. The ice cream here is so good. I got the apple cinnamon roll flavor and could not stop eating. It was spoonfuls of dense creamy base mixed in with apple and cinnamon cookie chunks. A single scoop is $3.50 but it is a very large scoop. FYI they don't have many flavors--probably only 6. And they make their own ice cream! That did not transition very well word wise but I hope I got all the facts in! read more
