NOT allergy friendly. They don't have any idea what's in anything they sell. One of our party has a mild egg allergy, which is normally super easy to accommodate at ice cream places. The ice cream itself was pretty middle of the road. Employees were neither overtly rude, nor especially friendly/helpful. If you're already at the food hall and craving something sweet, it might be worth it just for convenience (assuming you don't care to know anything about the ingredients), otherwise I'd skip it in favor of pretty much any other local ice cream place. read more

I have wanted to try this place since I first saw it. I love the neon pink sign. The Pizitz always needs more places for dessert in my opinion so I thought this place would be perfect to come to after getting lunch or dinner here. I came here after visiting I love Tina + Gina's Sandwich Shop for lunch. I got a cotton candy milkshake. The associate was very nice and allowed me to sample a few flavors before I decided what I wanted. I ended up getting the Cotton Candy Milkshake. It was a little pricey at $9 for a milkshake, but usually food at the Pizitz is more expensive so I expected that. The milkshake was good. A little too sweet towards the end though. I would have liked to have given this place more stars, but I unfortunately got sick a few hours after drinking it so I don't know if I would try this place again. read more

Very high quality ice-cream with some awesome flavors. The mix-ins are also abundant here! I thoroughly enjoyed this milkshake, especially because it was a whole 18oz.. you don't find that often. They also offer 18oz floats, hand spun cotton candy, and of course ice cream in a cup or cone. The customer service was great as well. Short stay in Birmingham to look at UAB Medical. Was check some apartment buildings and found the food hall. Time for some ice cream even though it was in the 30's. This place is full of roaches and other insects. I've also seen mold around the premises. Just disgusting.

Upon entering the store area, I was greeted right away and offered to try a flavor. The customer service was excellent. The ice cream was $6 for a scoop, which seemed steep but came with a waffle. My only issue was that the server was using gloves but using the same gloves on the register and then handling food with the same gloves, i.e waffle cones, biscuits, etc. That is the only reason I took off a point. read more

My son really wanted to try this place. The two teens working it were unprofessional. When we arrived they had 0 customers. The 4 of us ordered 1 scoop each. The cashier left off one scoop. By then a line had formed and I was told to get at the end of it to reorder. I was a little annoyed by this. By the time I had reordered my son's ice cream, mine was melted. The girl scooping ice cream purposefully gave him the smallest amount of ice cream she could. Each scoop comes with a little waffle cookie. The rest were vaired in size. She basically gave him a crumb. His face was crestfallen. It was just mean. It was bad enough that each scoop was $6.60 (including tax), but that could have been over looked if the service had been better. The flavors are varied, but honestly it's nothing special in terms of taste. Our family loves ice cream, but this was the worst place we have ever been to. read more
