Great location and staff! I got my brows done by Cindy and she did a great job. Ive been going to Benefit for years at various locations and I like the way she did my brows better than most other bars. She is very friendly and took the time to ask what I wanted. Unexpectedly found I had a need to pick up a couple of things at the downtown Macy's in Santa Rosa this afternoon. Knowing the odds were not good that they'd have an available slot for me to have my eyebrows waxed I took a chance and was cheerfully accommodated. I only had to wait for about 30 minutes and was then placed in the hands of a very sweet and talented young lady by the name of Celest. She did an outstanding job, one of the best experiences I've ever had at the benefit brow bar. I would not hesitate to ask for her again in the future. Thanks!! Love my brows!!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I will preface this by saying I had previously been here and had my brows done by a woman named Alyssa. She deserves a 5 star rating, but I am rating the overall store. Unfortunately she works at this location so I will not go back, but I would go to her any time if she worked elsewhere. I had made another appointment with Alyssa a month prior. I showed up on time today and they told me she had called in sick. That was fine. They then told me they were not going to fit me in even though I had made the appointment a month in advance and insisted they had called me. I showed them that I had no calls on my phone and they still insisted that they had left me a voicemail. Had they admitted they didn't call or said it was possibly the wrong number they called, I would've been okay. Had they told me if I waited around they would try to fit me in, I would've been okay. I understand what it's like to be short staffed. However, they blatantly lied about a phone call that never happened and told me I should go try to get squeezed in at Santa Rosa mall. Thanks for the tip. I'd love to go pay for parking and wait at a busy mall where I may or may not get helped. The woman waxing was very hostile towards me and acted like this was all my fault and I was inconveniencing them by being there. This has convinced me NEVER to go to this location ever again. The lack of customer service skills and the rude attitude was unacceptable and unprofessional. Especially doing this while helping another customer! If you want a benefit brow wax - go to an Ulta location. They call the night before to confirm and they take accountability for their actions! This is the worst location I have ever experienced and I've been getting benefit brow waxes for 5+ years. Upon talking to others, this is common for this location. read more

I love going to the Benefit Bar but the girls at the Coddington Macy's Benefit Brow Bar made me wait for about 10 minutes before acknowledging my presence even though they clearly saw me. Then they were very arrogant and condescending when I tried to make an appointment. I guess I'll stick with the Benefit Bar at Ulta's. read more

Horrible customer service. There was no one in the chair and two girls working the counter. There was only one other person there. I stood there for 3 minutes without even a hello, heard them answer the phone and book a 3:20 appt (it's 3:00) and then only when I spoke to them did they acknowledge that I was there. I asked when their next appt was and they told me that they couldn't take me until 4:20. I said I wish you would have offered me the 3:20 you just booked from the phone, no real apology or offer to squeeze me in even though there was clearly no one there. I'll stick to ulta or the plaza. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed from Benefit for more than 7 years and I kept trying out new locations hoping I would find the right person who listened to what I was requesting, as well as, someone I could connect with. That search was over when I stumbled into Benefit at the Coddingtown mall and Thea waxed my eyebrows. She is so down to earth and personable. After my second visit I felt like I had known her for years. Thea is very skilled at what she does and I recommend her without hesitation to anyone I know or to anyone looking for a new aesthetician. I had my eyebrow done a few weeks ago at the new brow bar. I wish wish I hadn't used them. My brows look like they'd been hacked with a machete. It's going to be awhile before they look ok again. The girl that did my waxing was a heavier set blond, she said she was a licsenced esthetician. She defenently lacks training and was not proffesinal. She talked about herself and how much her coworker was getting on her nerves. She knew I wasn't happy with my brows and processed to sell me on eyebrow filler and was horrible at filling my eyebrows in. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! I rarely let someone touch my eyebrows, and on a whim I walked in and Holly was able to squeeze in an appointment. Not only did she spend the time to pluck vs wax (retinol user here) but she she was kind and conversational. At the end, I was blown away. As someone who has splurged on brows in the past with "the best of the best," I have never had them look better than they did when I left Holly's chair. I have very sparse eyebrows so when I get them done and they mess up it takes a while to grow back in. Anyways the last person who did mine messed up and I've been growing them out for the longest time ever. Allison fixed my brows so good! She had me look in the mirror multiple times just to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. Allison herself is great at what she does, I was more disappointed at the service of the other girls who worked there. They literally stood around talking about whatever and not really into helping customers. The girl that I checked in with about my appointment went to the benefit counter but never came back to tell me if she checked me in with Allison or anything. Second time I have gone in to get my eyebrows done and been told they're fully booked for the next two days... it might be slightly believable if there was one person in the store besides the employees...I don't understand how you could just be standing there and tell me to my face that you're fully booked but don't have one customer in the store, or anyone sitting in any of your chairs. She is so patient and listens to exactly what you want! She does not rush you like others and makes you feel comfortable! I would not trust my eyebrows with no one else but her!!
