This was midday brunch, and I got the lunch bowl with colossal shrimp. My friend got the Yakisoba noodles with steak. First let start with the service. It was top-tier. We had several people checking on us, including our server who was fabulous. The atmosphere was quite nice even though there were other people around, it was still a very nice vibe. Let's get into the food. I was told that vegetable tempura comes with the lunch boat and it did not, the shrimp was just a tad salty, I switched out the white rice for fried rice, which cost an extra $6.50 but it was flavorful, the cream cheese sushi rolls were really good. My friend's plate (not pictured here) looked as if it was slung together, they liked the steak (and that's was about it) and they ask for udon noodles, but was recommended the Yakisoba instead, overall a C on the food, but an A+ on customer service. read more

Kind of sad; I was so excited to eat here and had been looking forward to it. Sat at the bar, and it took 20 minutes to get served water. After that, when my food came, they had forgotten the salad and the soup, and never brought the sauces for the meal. I love most Benihanas but this location is just BAD. After we got our drinks, we didn't see our waitress again for a long time and had to ask for her. I ordered the steak hibachi, but by the time it came out I didn't even want to eat it. I ended up packing it up and leaving. On top of that, the staff started arguing with each other while we were still sitting there, which was super uncomfortable. We came here for my mom's birthday dinner. We had a reservation but we weren't able to be seated until about 10 minutes after the reservation time. We chatted with the couple we were sat with for a while before our server greeted us. The server had a terrible attitude from the start of service with both my family and the other couple sat with us. My mother ordered a hot sake and at the end of our meal (I kid you not, we had all finished our food- which takes a while given the whole process of them cooking in front of you and all) she was given a cold sake after which she had to flag down the waitress to ask about her correct sake. Since we had literally all finished eating our meals, my mother just asked our server to take the cold sake away. The waitress was visibly annoyed at this and made it seem as if we were being cheapskates. To be clear, we came as a family of 5 and we all got steak dinners- we had no problem with spending but it's perfectly reasonable to not want to wait for a cocktail after you've had all of your food already. My mother had already asked for her sake multiple times throughout the meal and the waitress giggled as she apologized and continuously promised to bring the sake soon- this obviously wasn't true. Her unprofessional behavior was noted by both my family, and the other couple we were sat with, and they expressed their discomfort with the servers attitude. As for the food itself, the fried rice was delish and I loved the onion soup. Every other part of the meal was salty. I believe this was due to the sauce our cook added to the food (he may have added too much?). The ambiance was lacking as our cook was unable to do any of the tricks with his spatula or make his cooking seem impressive. He was very polite and apologized for his lethargy, saying everyone was tired but with the money spent for an experience, it's quite disappointing to be robbed of the experience. My mother was also supposed to hear a birthday song, but the singers never came even though the server very rudely said "Well if you want them (the birthday singers) to come righttt now I guess I can get them to come but usually they come after dinner " (she literally rolled her eyes) after my father requested that they sing to my mom. I ordered and the waitress forgot about my request for extra ginger dressing for the salad. When I did get it, it tasted terrible. While waiting for my meal, another guy at the bar came over to tell me how bad his meal tasted and said it was very bland. I get my meal and the order is not right. I saw the person that was the bar attendee maybe 3 or 4 total mins the entire night even though I was there about an hour. She only appeared to drop off the food and scurry alone out of view. I ordered a drink but I was asked could I accept it without bitters which makes the drink not the drink I ordered. The food was subpar and not seasoned at all. I guess I have to permanently take this place out of my options. I don't know what happened but this was the worst Benihana experience I think a person could have. This review is based on an order placed via Uber Eats. I placed an order for the Tokyo Wings and Hibachi Chicken Fried Rice deal for 2. It is supposed to come with 2 salads, an edamame appetizer, 2 servings of fried rice and 15 wings, with choice of sauce. I also added a spicy tuna roll as well. When I received my food, I did not have any hibachi rice at all. They subbed the rice for soup, which I did not ask for. That was a bit of a let down because my husband and I both were really looking forward to the rice more than anything. As far as the rest of the food...unfortunately, I did not enjoy anything other than the chicken. The soup was not very flavorful. The salad wasn't anything special. The edamame was okay. 2 stars for the review because I actually did enjoy the chicken. I ordered black pepper teriyaki sauce for the wings and it was pretty good. The sushi was also a let down. I recently took my family to Benihana to celebrate a graduation, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. I chose Benihana because I've had good experiences in the past and wanted my family to enjoy the same fun atmosphere and hibachi show for their first time, but this visit was nothing like I remembered. The wait actually wasn't bad, but once seated they squeezed 10 people at one table which made everything feel crowded and uncomfortable. Our chef came out with sweat literally dripping down his face and seemed rude and irritated anytime my mom asked simple questions about the food. The biggest disappointment was that we never really got the Benihana "show" experience at all. The eggs and fried rice were burnt, and all of the meats were mixed together into the rice. The food was so bad that after leaving, several of us ended up going to get fast food. To their credit, the manager handled the complaint professionally by comping the meal and offering to feed us on our next visit, which I appreciated. Well, this was definitely one of the most memorable birthday dinners... This is the first time I had been to Benihana that not only had a security guard out front, but the establishment said, due to safety concerns, they do not hand out metal knifes, so you get a plastic one. At first, I really thought that they were kidding. After thinking it was a joke, the waitress made clear she was not joking. Despite the plastic knife and the guard on duty, the wait staff, bartender, hostess, and entire team was very pleasant, positive, and fun!! They had an amazing sense of humor and they kept us entertained with their good cheer. For the ambiance, this poor Benihana has seen better days. It has had a lot of wear and tear, but it was clean and decent considering the volume of food they cook and is consumed there. I had the hot house sake, and it was delightful and took the edge off the security situation. The food was very good and they have a kick ass $39 weekday deal. I think it is just during the week, but it might be everyday. You get your choice of soup or salad, appetizer from gyoza to dumplings, choice of chicken, steak, or shrimp for the main entree, cooked vegetables, and a choice of 2-3 desserts. They allowed us to switch the dessert for a soup or salad, so they were very accommodating to your requests. This is definitely one where you cannot judge a book by its cover. Before we walked in, I we pre judging based on the security guard and the knife situation. I just feel sad that the establishment has had to take those measures to keep their guests and staff safe. I do have to say their fried rice was better than other places so I do give them that. But everything else wasn't significantly different to merit coming out of my way for this particular place. There was a bit of a wait so they brought us complimentary dumplings and they were really good. I loved them. The soup and salad were just ok. I have been traveling hence the delay in comments. I joined a birthday party on 07July and found the visit to be very disappointing to say the least. Reservations were at 5:30 and we were on time. Didn't leave till after 9:00 and the service was terrible. Delays in every component of a meal. Long wait in getting drinks, receiving those drinks, delays in ordering appetizers, in receiving those appetizers, took for ever to take orders. Two tables entering after us had food prep before our cook arrived and then the orders were not prepared correctly. Several ordered no onions and still had onions mixed in their portion. Our waitress was "Zakiya" and it seemed as though she did't want to be there. Zakiya as delayed in every aspect of service, terrible service and lacking in attitude. Yet when we had to pay for the meal with the Kiosk she rated herself with five stars. Since when does the server get to take a Kiosk during the payment transaction and rate themselves? Serving size was larger for the kids meal than the adults and as a whole the service, atmosphere and performance was terrible. With out a doubt the worse Benihana experience ever! I ordered Benihana again to see if the food has improved...Well the Wagu burger and fries was a big disappointment...My hamburger bun and part of the burger were burned.,the burger was not seasoned at all.,and I tasted burn flavor. It had a spicy sauce and lettuce which didn't tasted or look good. it was very messy. The French fries were overcooked or something because they were hollow and dried out on the inside. Made a reservation for 10. We were seated at 7:15 and ordered drinks. At 8:15 I had to go to the receptionist and ask where our drinks were. I told her it had been one hour since we ordered. She seemed totally unconcerned and mumbled something under her breath. 10 minutes later we got 1/2 of our drinks and the rest 10 minutes later. Almost 1 1/2 hours after we ordered. The pod next to us was getting food prepared and the smoke was billowing out around the exhaust fan everywhere except up through the fan. We walked over and asked if he had the fan on and he said yes but it wasn't working. Smoke was everywhere. Finally got our meal 2 hours after we were seated and the chef was getting ready to leave and we asked if we could get some sauce with our shrimp, chicken and steak and he stopped and said oh I'm sorry I forgot.
