They said they would be coming out around 5:30. No call to tell us they were not coming. When they didn't show up by 7 I called them to follow up. They were rude and dismissive. By that time I had to pay another company an after hours fee! I will never call them again! read more

11/03/2016 Zero STARS from us! Horrible service and very unprofessional! Our water heater tank had a leak and this is the first time that we had to deal with something like this. We called around to three places just to try and get the best quote, possibly one that is affordable due to our financial situation. So, we ended up calling Benitez Plumbing in Fresno because their price mentioned over the phone was affordable for us. Then, I decided to choose them and requested them to come and check it for $69 (per price mentioned on phone). The plumber's name is Mike who came over by himself to provide us service. We let him through our garage door and had him check the issues. After looking around, he informed my mom that he will have to move the heater out from the wall. She asked him how much would that cost and then he replied to her that, "It cost money and I'll tell you later" but then proceeded to move the tank anyways. He continued to replace 3 items that costed over $200 without prior approval first nor proper receipt explaining in writing each prices of the items. After he's done with everything without approval, he then told my mom that the total cost is $550. My mom's heart sank and said why so much? Then, he mentioned the breakdown of the pricing to her after it was completed, which included: $300 for pulling out the heater, $69 for coming out for inspection, and $181 for parts and labor! She was very upset and felt that he misled her by not informing her ahead of time that it would cost $300 to just pull out the heater tank. Honestly, I've never heard of this and doesn't seem legit at all! My mom ended up paying $350 the day of service and owed $200. Then, he came back the next day to do some more work and left us with no hot water to use and also gas leak was found by the new plumber who came and inspected later. I spoke to Mike regarding the unprofessional service mentioned by my mom. Mike then argued with my mom in front of me saying "I did tell you, you said OK." Knowing my mom, she wouldn't even let them even touch the water heater if it's going to cost us $300 just to pull it out by himself. Took him less than 5mins to pull out the tank and the price was outrageous. But, the main issue here is that he misled us and failed to provide us with proper details prior to service and done other services not requested by owner. After he argued with my mom about the situation, I told him that I don't want his service anymore. As he proceeded to leave, the other worker who came along with him demanded the rest of $200 be paid. Also, he mentioned to us, "Feel free to take us to court." How can he be trusted to do other work if he's not even honest with his service since the beginning? I didn't know what else to do at this point and wanted to stop this bad service from reoccurring elsewhere, so I decided to write this review to hear other perspectives. Then, I called his manager(Jesse) and tried to explain the situation to him, but failed to get any further help after the fact. I'm so disappointed that we paid that much already and still nothing was completed. I mentioned to the manager what happened to providing good customer service/satisfaction and he didn't seem to care about what i said. Then, he mentioned to me, "Go ahead and take us to court, but you'll have to pay the price." Very poor customer service and the problem still not fixed. I will never go there again for service. If you have any ideas what I could do or if it's fair to pay the rest of $200, please comment so that I can better understand. Thank You! read more

Only giving one star because you cannot give "No" stars. They were a huge let-down. Not professional to say the least. We had a plumbing emergency, and three guys showed up. They ran a snake down our drain and weren't able to clear the clog. The main guy looked at me and said, "There's nothing we can do"...then they just left! Prior to them leaving, I thought the guy was joking. So I replied, "Are you serious?! That's it?! What the hell kind of plumbing outfit are you?!" He just had this stupid grin on his face and said they needed to go. We ended up calling RotoRooter, and they stayed until the job was done. Turned out to be some major plumbing work that needed to be done - but RotoRooter stayed until they got our plumbing fixed. read more

I have been calling Benitez for services for about ten years now -- I ALWAYS call them ever since the first time they helped me with a plumbing issue. Why? They show up when they say they will, they are courteous, they are lower priced than most plumbers, and they get the job done right. Enough said. read more

We've had them come out to snake our main drain a few times. It looked like someone who lived in the house before we bought it, used baby wipes which clogs your drains. This was within the first year and half of us living there. The older gentlemen who came out both times was very helpful. Benitez was a recommendation from a close friend who does AC work. We've recommended Benitez to our all our neighbors and friends. read more

I called Clovis plumbing because my son had flushed something down the toilet. I was informed they don't snake drains because it's nasty. They nicely gave me Benitez number. I called, they were here within a couple of hours, fixed it right up! Thanks!!! I had a very good experience with Benitez Plumbing. One of my young sons decided to flush a Spiderman toothbrush, which clogged the toilet. Benitez was recommended to me by another plumber. They were friendly on the phone and were out to my house within three hours. Very professional, treated me with respect. Would happily call them again if needed. read more

The first time we called this company in November an older gentleman came out and snaked our drain. He pulled out a huge clump of roots and fixed the problem. He was so nice and professional. Malay week we called them out again because our laundry room drain was backing up. A younger guy came out this time. He said he needed access to another rain behind a bookcase. He moved what he needed to and works on it for a while. He finally came out and said he was done but was going to clean up the mess. He came back out and said he was finished. I paid him and he left. I went to put the laundry room back together and found greasy, poop water splashed all over everything. The curtain, walls, desk, computer, books and a trail through the whole house. It took me 2 hours to clean it up and the whole house smelled like sewage for a few hours. I had to open up all the windows and doors to air the house out which wasn't fun on a 103 degree day. I had to wash the rug in the kitchen because it was soaking wet with brown water as well. Today, my husband noticed a puddle under the bookcase and desk. He checked the cap on the drain the plumber was working on and it fell off when he touched it and when my husband tried tightening it he found it was stripped. I'm so disappointed! read more
