I like that Eddie was out to get to the home INSTANTLY. I mean my God that was very quick. I do know if you go with Rapid Rooter Drain Master that you will get RAPID. I don't know about the master part though. He was a bit misleading on a water heater indicating that it was from Amazon and it used for bars/restaurants to heat up basically drinks - he specifically said that it is not meant for a 2000 sqft home. He suggested to go with a $5000-15,000 water heater and wanted to upsell his services. Personally, that just does not jive with me. He then proceeded to tell me that he is not quite sure how to run the current water heater I had, so I am not sure if it was incompetence or disingenuousness, but my gut says the latter. If you need a job done, he will absolutely be there, but he might try to swindle you into something you don't need so proceed with caution. read more

Eddie arrived at my home within an hour of me calling for an after hours service for what I thought was an emergency situation for a water leak with the valve in the wall behind my refrigerator. We had just had a new refrigerator put in, and he was quickly able to see that I had been misinformed by the installation techs. I don't really know anything about plumbing, and instead of taking advantage of the situation and charging me for unnecessary work, Eddie took the time to explain and show me why repairs were not necessary, as well as provide options if we wanted to have work done in that area in the future. Eddie came out for the home warranty company due to a leak underneath the faucet. He looked externally, did not actually figure out where the leak was coming from specifically. He said I needed to call and say a "white lie" to get a replacement from the company that made the faucet. Then apparently despite telling me on the phone that it looked like the appliance was installed correctly otherwise it would have failed right away, the home warrenty company told me he said the damage was not due to "normal wear and tear," and that it was not installed correctly and so they couldn't cover it. After lots of back and forth with both Eddie and hours on the phone with the home warranty company (Old Republic) by both myself and the previous owner who kindly offered to call them as well, we finally got a new plumber out and they said they would get the home warranty company to cover it. All it needed was a new 3-way valve and flexible tubing...Really got the impression he just didn't want to bother with it or come back out to fix it. Would definitely not recommend especially if you are going with a home warranty repair. You can always call and ask them to send someone else out instead of these guys. I've had good experience with Costless Plumbing and Stedman Plumbing (the second plumbing company the home warranty folks sent out), and Professional Plumbers though they are more expensive. read more

I don't write many reviews but felt I had to after our experience with Eddie from Rapid Rooter. Our kitchen sink was clogged and no matter what I did I couldn't get the drain unclogged. Rapid Rooter scheduled us right away and Eddie contacted us when he was on his way. Eddie was very professional and knowledgeable. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg to clear the clog Eddie explained what needed to be done and suggested I try that first. Everything Eddie suggested worked and our drain is finally clear! Eddie even gave us some preventative tips so this doesn't happen again. But if we ever have an issue in the future Eddie and Rapid Rooter will be our first call. We had called this company about 6 months ago for a downstairs bathroom issue and the service technician was so honest and helpful that we called back when we had an upstairs toilet leaking last Friday. He was able to fix the problem with the leaking bowl the same day. My husband noticed water leaking from the ceiling 3 days later when he was in the garage so I looked back in my daughters bathroom and she had a different leak on her toilet. The same technician showed back up within 30 minutes of calling them and tightened up an area that had a different leak. A plumber came to my home and was completely off the mark in his diagnosis of the problem. We have a leak in our living room ceiling, directly under the upstairs bathroom toilet. He said he thought the leak was coming from the HVAC on the roof. This seemed odd, since there is no leak on the second floor. An HVAC specialist came out and laughed when I explained the plumber's diagnosis. A water mitigation crew came and said it is obviously the toilet, based on the location of the leak. He was shocked that a plumber wouldn't recognize this immediately. The four-day delay in figuring out the problem has allowed water to potentially make the problem worse, increasing the risks of rot and mold. I am upset that the plumber didn't even consider the toilet and that his ineptitude may have exacerbated my problem. I called to complain and spoke to the plumber, who said the owner would call me; it's been 3 weeks and no call back. I emailed Diane in the office twice, first asking for a call back and the asking for a refund - no response there either. read more

Had a leak at my house my warranty company assigned this company to check it out .Guy came out stuck his head under the house shined a light under said I don't see any leak under your house .Well you have to go under the house the pipes are under the would floors and under the house .Older houses had a crawl space under you go through the floor in a bedroom.Said must be a slab leak or a leak outside.He dint go under the house so I had to get another plumbing company come out.They came out two minutes he saw the leak was under the house in the front.Was Pacific Plumbing co in Clovis.I would not recommend this company they don't really do a good inspection.Rapid Rooter who does a leak inspection without going under your house .Wasted my time and delayed my plumbing fix. read more

I should not even write a review when I am this angry... I have had Rapid Rooter come out on several occasions to do work on my rentals. I have been happy up until today. Today, they went out to inspect a laundry room water faucet that was dripping. The plumber called me and said he needed to change the washer, and that would fix the problem. I immediately felt relief.. I mean.. who wouldn't... a little washer. easy enough right? It was easy alright, all said he was there less than 15 minutes in total. But the price they wanted me to pay for 15 minutes... $175.00. I wish I was lying. I can't make this stuff up. After reading through the reviews, this is their MO.. when they figure out they can take advantage of a situation. I called and spoke with Diane in the office to express my shock, disbelief, which finally turned to the feeling of being taken advantage of and anger. They ended up charging my card for $150.00. They have lost my business FOREVER.. and anyone I speak to. In fact, I am so angry, I will make sure everyone on Craigslist.. where they advertise knows about this too! I do believe in karma. I chose to move forward with the telephone quote, because I was already on the line for the charge to come out. No matter what response Rapid Rooter makes to my review.. it will never make it ok to charge $175 to change out a washer.. never. That is important to keep focused on. This is hilarious.. they keep updating their response to continue to be defensive. How about an acknowledgement.. and keep trucking? When a service person tells you no guarantee on their work, I should stay away. I was glad service response was quick and didn't have doubts on good Yelp reports. Sure enough drain was not working in three days. And I have to call P & R for service, their service was just as promptly and charge was half of amount. So far after ten days everything was working well. I will call P & R from now on. read more

Called 3 places, I believe he is the only company in town with a big enough crew to do large same day repairs. Showed up with a 4 man crew and was in and out. If you want the work done NOW this is the company. I do, however, feel the price was not fair. He wanted $500 for about 1 hours worth of work for 2 guys. Called at 8:59pm,,, because that's about the only time my plumbing backs up. (Never backs up during normal working hours.) Diane answered the phone. Friendly, personable and very helpful. She got Ed out to our place within an hour -- maximum. Frankly, I was too tired to notice the time, but I recall it was pretty fast. Regardless, he arrived in a very timely manner, and I was able to use my bathroom ... and to start getting ready for bed around 10:20pm. Overall, I appreciate their communication, especially Ed calling me when he was on his way, and he let me know the pricing for what I needed, including an "after-hours fee." I think the after-hours fee is reasonable. I wouldn't want to be going out past 9pm to snake a sewer line if I were him, so I get it. I'd call them again, and I highly recommend. read more
