Next visit was for our big boy, copperhead bite, they treated him quickly and sent us on our way, and 2.5 weeks later we came back, our boy had collapsed after tracking scents in the yard, immediately they caught that it was another snakebite, and determined to be rattlesnake. It was serious, he stayed 24 hrs and was released. We've got a long road of wound care and such, but they saved him. I've had nothing but great care and they saved both our pups lives. The vets have taken their time listening and explaining, very patient and caring. Top notch!!

We made an emergency stop at Animal Care Clinic (it was the closest to where we were on I-45). In a whirlwind of panic, we brought her in. The ENTIRE staff stopped what they were doing, rushed to our aid, and began trying to save our girl. Sadly, our fur baby passed and we were forced to finish our multi-hour drive home without her. Today, in the mail, we received the most incredible and thoughtful gesture. The staff of Animal Care Clinic signed a sympathy card and included our baby's paw prints with it. They also included a seed card to allow us to plant flowers in remembrance of our girl. We are not their customers. We have never given them business - they did not even charge us for the work they did while we were there. We will probably never see them again...And yet... This incredibly compassionate and dedicated staff saw fit to not only do everything they could to help strangers in need, they followed it up with a level of kindness and sympathy I have never experienced. THANK YOU! Thank you to each of you who tried to help. Thank you for allowing us the gift of time to grieve in your exam room (displacing the many other people waiting in your lobby). I brought my cat to Ennis Veterinary Clinic at approximately 5.30 p.m. because she was actively having seizures. Although the clinic was still open (closes at 6), I felt there was very little urgency to evaluate or treat her. Blood was drawn, but throughout the visit, the atmosphere felt unprofessional. Some of the staff appeared to be joking while my cat was in a medical emergency, and I was left feeling as though her condition was an inconvenience rather than something requiring immediate and urgent attention. This was especially heartbreaking because it wasn't the first time I had sought help. Days earlier, I brought my cat in after a bump was noticed near her eye where her stitches were removed . Looking back, I wish additional diagnostics, such as imaging, had been discussed or recommended or even offered. I can't know for certain what would have changed, but I will always wonder whether earlier intervention could have made a difference. What hurt me most wasn't only the outcome. It was the lack of compassion, of urgency, of empathy. People bring their pets to a veterinarian and they're placing their trust in a team during one of the scariest moments they may ever face. They deserve kindness, clarity, and confidence that everything reasonably possible is being done. In my experience, this clinic may run an efficient business, but I left feeling that the compassion and urgency I expected from a veterinary practice were missing. I sincerely hope this review encourages reflection, not only on how patients are treated, but... on the families who love them.
