I can't complain about this spot at all! I was hungry, it was late and luckily I came across this place in my search for late night spots in Philly to get something to eat. I stopped in on a weekday after a long work day and when I tell you this was exactly the what I needed. I didn't even get a whole lot--I only had the bum seafood salad and the crab rolls. But the half sale was so filling I can't imagine what the full size looks like; it was load we with crab meat and shrimp and it was also throughout coated in the dressing too. The crab rolls were crunch, fresh and had a nice chili dipping sauce to go with it. Would definitely come back here without a doubt.

The food was excellent - we had crab cakes and a Creole seafood platter with shrimp and scallops - everything was well prepared and nice and hot. I didn't care for ambiance because the music was so loud we could hardly hear each other talk. I asked the waitress if it could turned down or if there were quieter tables. She said no because it was R&B bingo night. Also, the waitress was hard to find and didn't check on us or the food . I do not know if this was normal for this place or not, but I'll probably try them again bc the food was so good; then if it's noisy I'll leave

We walked in and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered the fried mozzarella, crab balls, crab cake egg roll, and the lobster mac and cheese. Overall, the food was decent, but it tasted like a lot of it had come straight from the freezer. It wasn't terrible by any means, just nothing memorable. The staff was friendly and polite, but after we were seated it felt like we were forgotten about for a while. The music was at a comfortable volume, which made the atmosphere enjoyable, but the bathrooms were unfortunately pretty dirty. Overall, Benny the Bums is just an average restaurant. Is it worth the price? Not really. Is it the worst place I've ever eaten? Definitely not. If you're in the area and want to give it a try, you'll probably have an okay meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

It's been years since I've last been here. They've made some changes but the vibes are still there. I love that this sports bar has plenty of seafood options as most do not, and the food is pretty good. The service is great even on super busy Saturday nights. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But they should definitely put more restrooms in place, I spent a good portion of my night in line waiting for the ladies room. Not ideal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty average looking on the inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - like an around the way spot. This is coming from an out of towner. The broiled salmon was delicious - juicy and well seasoned. If you do nothing else in life, do not order the rice- super dry and old tasting. I actually thought it was shaved carrots when it came to the table. The waitress was kind enough to swap it for mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes *chefs kiss* - however, the cup of butter was odd. Who needed that? They were perfect as is. The crab cake eggrolls were a special but the lump crab meat and that Thai chilli sauce was good too. Last but not least... the bread. It was cold and we could've done without. Had it been warm, I may recommend it. Based on the specials and the drink menu, I'm sure this is probably a go to spot for locals to have a good time for happy hour and catch some games.

I love to come here with my siblings for some quick bites and good drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very big and has so many items on their menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their wings and soup, and the service is great! Everyone that works there is super nice and helpful, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the environment of the place is friendly and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The quality, amazing, the taste was okay. I used to be a frequent flyer so I already how delicious the everything would be. The ONLY thing that I forgot and I'm taking a point away , they still don't clean the shrimps. If they took a few minutes to devein them, it would be five stars across the board. I ordered a to go platter and it was good, I can only imagine if I do a sit in.... Yuuuuum. When I do sit in, I'm going to ask if they can clean my shrimps and see the reaction. Give them a play, it's worth it. A- A- A-

I enjoyed this place! Will definitely come back whenever i visit Philly again!! That Bum Salad was one of the best salads I've had, and I've had plenty! Salads are my fave! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was busy and the music was definitely a vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took a while to get a server but once we went and mentioned no one came, the waitress we had was great! Will return for sure!

The food was awesome waitress Miriam was so nice ... a little chaotic at the door to get seated... [[HIGHLIGHT]]the music awesome[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] .... The barmaids are evil and charge what they want I ordered a drink and this classless barmaid asked the guy I didn't even know if he was buying my drink. Not sure what that was about that's why i choose to tell all the good things first because [[HIGHLIGHT]]overall the place is a nice vibe for a girls night out[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I decided to pick up the Beast Style Burger combo with unseasoned fries and a Chris Style burger. The burgers are available with two patties, three patties, or more. The patties are thin and browned perfectly, just the way I like them. I chose the double patty with bacon and lettuce and the sandwich was good. The bread was soft and chewy, I think toasting the bun would've made it much better but I didn't taste that they do that. The burger is topped with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onions, and American cheese. I would have preferred to have left the mayo off but the option wasn't available and they don't allow for special orders. Still, the burger was very good. The seasoning they use takes a little of getting use to but it makes the flavor unique. It says the seasoning is spicy red pepper, garlic, paprika, sugar, and a hint of lime. Better than your average fast food burger and I would put it in the league of a restaurant burger. Five Guys is my go to fast food burger and I might prefer this burger to them. The Chris style burger isn't terribly unique, it puts fries on top of the patty but you don't really notice it. Fries are crinkle cut which is not a cut I'm terribly fond of but these fries are good despite being crinkle cut. They're similar to the kind you get from Chickie's and Pete's but they're not overcooked like at that establishment. They offer something called Beast Style fries which are cheese fries topped with caramelized onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo which did not appeal to me at all. If they offered regular old cheese fries, I would have picked that up in a heartbeat. MrBeast Burger is good but I think it could be better. They offer a patty melt burger I would love to try if I had the option to not have caramelized onions and add a second patty to it.

Anyway if you've ever been here you know there is nothing around the mall but fast food. That's really not what I wanted. I was having so much trouble deciding we just ended up in the food court. You could smell the cheese steaks down the hall and it smelled really good. Good enough to coax me into a closer look. Upon a closer look the two guys running the shop were so friendly I was like yeah I'll do it. Only two guys doing door dash deliveries and live people in the food court. So one guy is taking orders then running back to cook. Then he was apologetic about the wait. I'm like take your time man! They were rocking it out. So then we get our food and it's really excellent. None of it is greasy. I got gourmet fries and a philly chicken cheesesteak. Fries weren't deep fried and greasy. Only complaint- worst ketchup receptacle at any restaurant ever. There is no way to hold it and keep the ketchup inside. Next time I come to a movie here I'll do it again.
