I had order some crab legs party platters for my daughter's birthday party. Guess what? they were gone less than 15 minutes. I'm like sheesh, really? This place is horrible. Called before I went to make sure they had a blue crabs the female on the phone told me they had mixed medium to large crabs so I ordered 20 crabs and a dozen clams. The crabs are small female crabs that are practically weightless. I notice it's a new owner and just want to give them a try and they are nothing like the old owner I ask for extra cheese and ask how much they told $1 so I give them $5 and said I'll take $4 and they can take the rest instead they only give 2 cheese sauce so I ask them again how much and they said $1.20, but still that doesn't make sense and I got rip off $1.6. On top of that when I get home I notice that I'm missing my order of wedge that I paid for and the raw clam I order do not look right so now I have to spend extra time cooking it. A huge disappointment. I ordered the half pound of shrimp with 2 sides of cornbread and Mac & cheese. All EXCEPT the mac and cheese were disappointing. Initially, I thought it was black owned (not that it meant anything... just thought the food might be of standard). An Asian man delivered the food and immediately I was suspicious Of what was in the platter he handed to me. When I loved them out of his hands immediately I thought it was way too light for it to be what I've ordered. Every time I order I tell them no old bay but somehow I always get old bay on all or part of my meal, that is their only drawback. I just simply wash it off, but everyone doesn't like their food without seasoning and if you wipe off the old bay or wash off it way you also wash off and wipe off all the other seasonings. Just had this delivered, and I have to say this is hands-down the best seafood in Philly. We had the coconut shrimp platter, the shrimp basket, and the soft shell crab sandwich. Our sides were macaroni salad, potato salad, broccoli, and baked potato with butter. The salads were super tasty (one of us doesn't like mayo and I usually don't like potato salad); they were delicious. The broccoli was seasoned and so flavorful. Listen...I know that prices for seafood are always inflated when it comes to ordering from a restaurant vs going to the grocery store. However, I usually only order seafood every once in a while and pay the extra for the convenience. We ordered 2 crab leg platters, a JUMBO shrimp platter, some fries, and homemade tea. It ended up coming to almost $70 bucks. The food arrived almost on time but not quite, like 15 min after the hour estimate. And come to think of it, I really hope the woman who delivered the food saw/got her tip (I paid online) because she was lingering around and I'm just like... ok thanks have a good night! It was awkward to say the least. Finally I open the food and it was what I expected but I was still disappointed that I had just spent $70 on food. Not their fault though. But anyway I open the shrimp and it's just these regular medium - ish looking shrimp and I'm like, that's definitely not jumbo shrimp. I always order delivery from here! The delivery guy is polite and charming, the food is very good (we always order the family platter for the bass--it's so much food! Enough to feed a family of four. Extremely disappointing for me. I had the steamed shrimp platter with potato and broccoli. I've never been to a place that gives you the butter in tiny(and I mean tiny) cup. My daughter had the scallops mac and cheese and greens. Her food was okay. It was a good thing it was for a child because that's what the portions were suitable for. They need to work on their portions or their prices. I don't mind paying for food but I want it to be worth it.
