After Rossi's restaurant closed (to our dismay) Flamingo Grill quickly became one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach. We typically eat there 2 or 3 times a year on our beach vacation. We had concerns about new owners but everything is as good as we have come to expect. Wait staff is professional and friendly. From the lobster bites to the Key Lime pie everything was excellent. A local recommended we try this restaurant and get the Lobster bites. The decor was a show stopper! It had a fun diner meets mafia nightclub feel, I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Lots of shiny black and it was so clean. We ordered the filet minion and lobster bites. The steak also came with new potatoes and sugar snap peas. The fork tender steak was a perfect medium and had a light seasoning. The lobster bites are one inch pieces that have a very light breading. They were delicious and the lobster flavor still shined through. I personally was disappointed with the potato's and sugar snap peas. They seemed to be boiled with no seasoning. The Ahi Tuna was excellent! The side of risotto tasted like it was made the day before, left on the counter and reheated a hour before being served. Disappointing for the side to be a 1 and the main dish to be a 5. I rate them in the middle for that; 3 stars. EXCELLENT SERVICE though... Well we just found a new favorite place for a really nice night out. First of all the decor is lovely and the tables are NOT crowded. I have the Ahi peppercorn tuna and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered it rear. Huge piece of tuna and very tender and flavorful. The Garlic Mashed and Snap peas were also delicious. It also came with a salad and I recommend the house dressing. My guy had the GIANT cut of prime rib. He ordered an end cut medium and it was perfect. To end the night we split a piece of chocolate pecan pie. It is made in house and came out warm and very delicious. It is rich so split it for sure. They have fish specials each night and I think I'll try the Grouper next time. We chose the Flamingo Grill because we asked a complete stranger, what restaurant he would recommend. (Then checked on Yelp of course). The Salmon Teriyaki was delicious, House salad, veggie of the day (boiled red potatoes), and a sliver of garlic bread were included with the entree. I was full before I got to the potatoes, but they were good for the next mornings home fries. The service was spot on. The Art Deco 50's ambiance is fun, with huge posters of movie stars from Hollywoods glory days and, of course, pink flamingos. While my friend and I enjoyed pretty much everything about the restaurant, it may not be a draw for a younger crowd. Reasonably priced menu for these inflation plagued days. read more

We ate there last night for my daughter's birthday. We knew it changed hands. Unfortunately, the fluid was horrible. I am not exaggerating 1 bit. The lobster bites were tasteless, not crunchy and not cooked all the way. The\nCrab cake was so small the she crib soup was tasteless, no flavor and there was no crab meat or lobster in it. Like the other owner put in it, even the bread sucked, it was rubbery. Cold, no spices on it and the vegetables were soaked in water, little red potatoes and sugar snap peas. I brought food home to try to doctor it up. But the sugar snap peas and the potatoes you could squeeze them, and water was coming out of them. I will never eat there again read more

I got the Delmonico steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak lacked seasoning and broccoli was bland. The mashed potatoes on the other hand were tasty. Others in our party got the chicken.
