I am impressed with the basic work and the budget friendly consideration by Alfred as Felipe is a friendly talkative sales forman and was very careful about the follow up of completing the LED lighting with their top quality brass waterproof fixtures as my previous landscape lighting company did a very poor job that lasted just over 2 years. Felipe pays special attention to properly connecting underground wires so they are sealed off from moisture and corrosion and a short life. Felipe prides himself in his workmanship and follow up for needed service and warranty needs. Definitely recommend. Sprinklers are a very finicky thing, and adjustments are often needed. Seems like almost anyone can install sprinklers, but being available for adjustments and changes in a hot dry area is the key, and they always are. And they're very reasonable about minor tweaks, often not even charging. If you want a green lawn and landscaping without dry spots and with the knowledge that they'll stop by for any adjustment, this company is very effective, and their prices are extremely fair. read more

Just completed an update of our outdoor lights (some replacements, some new). Felipe came out for the initial design and estimate. We told him what we were thinking about doing. We were looking to get front and backyard lighting. Called around and some estimates couldn't come out for another month or so. Outdoor Lighting OC is a great company to deal with. We've been in our home almost 6 years. We noticed a few weeks ago that one of our outdoor lights had broken and was no longer working. I searched on the internet for someone who could repair or replace the broken light and I found this company. I submitted a request on their site, www.outdoorlightingoc.com. Within 24 hours, Albert Benites called me personally to discuss what we needed and he said his "top guy", Felipe, would be at our house that afternoon. True to their word, Felipe arrived 60 minutes later and looked at our yard. He advised that the light needed to be replaced. He also explained that halogen lights were no longer the preferred style as they are not efficient and hard to replace. We agreed to replace all 6 lights and add one more. We also agreed to change our watering system to a more water efficient drip system and have our light timer switched to a digital one with a photo cell to turn the new lights on at dusk each night, all due to Felipe's professional explanations and extremely respectful and kind observations of our yard set up. We also got him to include pruning back three very overgrown trees and to remove two unnecessary plants to open up the yard space a bit more. They also planted a small plant for us as well. We got a fair, flat quote for all of the jobs. The office person, Crystal, was in touch with us each step of the way and we were able to have the entire job completed on April 18, 2017 --- less than one week after our initial visit. Felipe and another worker showed up on time on the 18th and finished the jobs in less than 4 hours. Our yard looks even better than before and the new lights worked perfectly on the first night last night. I enjoy writing reviews when I feel a business deserves recognition. That would be an understatement for Alfred and his team of Felipe, Herman, Robert, and others! After reading excellent reviews on Yelp, I scheduled Alfred to come out and provide an estimate on landscape drainage issues as well as a complete outdoor lighting strategy. It is difficult for me to meet during business hours so Alfred agreed to meet when I got home from work. Due to traffic, I was late. Alfred kindly waited for me and spent a good amount of time discussing approaches for both projects. Since it was dark out, he offered to come back on the weekend to get a better look and we discussed pricing then. Having met with other landscaping companies, Alfred seemed the most knowledgable and affordable so we gave the green light and work started 3 days later. Below is a list of all of things Alfred's team did as part of this job. 1) Created and installed a great lighting plan to illuminate our large front yard. 2) Determined the root cause of my drainage issue and excavated many heavily clogged pipes. 3) Installed new pipes and multiple new drains. 4) Re-leveled the soil so water now flows to the drains. 5) Installed new grass to repair my gopher damaged lawn. 6) Replaced my sprinkler timer with a more reliable unit and repaired sprinklers that were not functioning correctly. 7) Ran new electrical to get my fountain lit up and running again which required trenching. 8) Corrected many electrical issues in my garage. 9) Removed many problematic bushes and trees including a 20 foot tall tree that Alfred discovered led to the drainage issues. 10) Set us up with appropriate plants and mulch to finish and beautify the yard. 11) trenched and ran new electrical to our property entrance for future work I'm doing that requires power. I'm sure I missed a few things, too. Alfred and his team were all easy to work with and they respected my budget. They did exactly what I wanted and had the expertise to make the end product even better than I expected. For example, other contractors told me they would have to saw cut my cement to connect new drains to the existing drain which would leave discoloration between the old and new cement. Alfred's team wanted to make everything look beautiful so they trenched below the cement so no cutting was necessary. Their designs have great vision, are aesthetically pleasing, and budget-conscious. They also corrected issues they came across on their own without nickel and diming me. A lot of work was done in a short period of time and it was still our smoothest contractor experience. I trust and highly recommend Alfred and his team to all of my friends and family who need outdoor help. I'm already planning our next project with them! read more

Rare find in today's world! I first contacted Alfred to update my outdoor lighting. He gave me a reasonable estimate for LED replacement fixtures. His associate, Felipe came out with his crew to install the new lights and lines. I was so impressed with their attention to detail and finished job, that I had them replace my sprinkler system (which was long overdue for replacement). Felipe, when asked, even offered design advice for my property. I had just paid a landscape architect a few months prior, but the project was too extensive and expensive. Felipe designed a beautiful succulent garden with stones and and a sculptured section of new sod. The project was completed in record time and looks beautiful. All of my neighbors have come over to compliment my new landscaping. My previous experience with contractors have been over budget and not completed within the projected time. Additionally, Felipe and his crew are professionals and a pleasure to work with (and I am very picky and detail oriented).
