I was talked to like I was anything but a customer and he was very disrespectful. I told him to put the appliances back on his truck and take them back and I would be in to get a refund. Wow! The last owner started screaming at me at the back of the store before I even parked in front! When I went in she said I was disrespectful to her employee. I tried to tell her what really happened and her and her daughter both verbally attacked me. She refused any refund on the $660.00 CASH payment I made to her a couple of days earlier and told me to leave her store and get the police. I called the police and officer Beecher showed up and I advised him I was not going back in the store and listen to the lies the daughter and mother would tell him and be able to keep my mouth shut. So I gave him the receipt and he went in and talked. He came back about 15 or 20 minutes later and said they were bringing a check out for $550! I said well, that's no surprise they are obviously crooks and have no customer service abilities! I took the $110 hit to my pocketbook, and I am a senior citizen on social security. I would NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE! Go to Menards, pay cash or sign up for a credit card and you even get more than a 30 day guarantee and people who know what they are doing. It won't cost you much more than their idiotic used prices and you'll get to work with professionals! STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!

A half hour before scheduled time was coming to a end I called to check where they were as I needed to get my kids from daycare. They mentioned they made a mistake and I was on the schedule for the next time slot. The next time slot passed and still nothing. No call, no text, no show. We called for help with a temperamental oven (not an emergency) and were able to get service…read morescheduled with a few days. The technician, Dustin, thoughtfully called to let us know he was running a few minutes late, and he arrived exactly when predicted. He did a thorough inspection and magically got the oven working as it should again, without having to replace any parts. If he had been a less scrupulous and responsible professional, he could have charged us to replace a part unnecessarily. Instead, he left his contact info so we could let him know if the problem returned, with the plan to order the part then, and only then. Even though it was the end of the business day, he stayed longer to be sure the oven maintained its temperature correctly. Throughout, he was friendly and professional, a pleasure to work with. Although the business is located in Bloomington, they do calls in the Champaign-Urbana area for no extra charge. I'm putting BK Appliance Repair into my contacts now in case any other appliance issues come up.

I had called…read moreStaats regarding the lower freezer door in our refrigerator not opening - the sliders had worn out. Staats gave me a timeline and Brandon was there right on time. He gave me a final price and even had to go to the warehouse and back to retrieve the parts. After wrestling a wee bit with the old sliders, he had everything cleared out, the new sliders installed, and everything cleaned up. Great job, and great customer service! One of the possibilities was the use of humidifiers. I had just purchased and started using 2 new ones. I turned them off, waited 4-5 hours and turned on the burners. Blue flame all around.
