Came here while in the area. We ordered a everything bagel to go and pancakes with bacon and eggs. Food was good and staff were friendly. The Prices here are fair too. Only thing is I wish the everything bagel had alittle bit more salt on it. I really couldnt taste any on it. Overall definitely would come back if in the area.

Bensons bagels is hands down one of the best bagel place in the local area. This was my 2nd time coming here and this visit was for especially for the Valentine's Day special advertised on Instagram for $4.99 which included a reddish bagel w cream cheese and ice coffee of your choice. It was definitely a day to get there early as these bagels run out quickly being so yummy and always fresh. It's in the Enfield area and I don't ever seem to get up in the area early enough before they close. This day was definitely a special stop to grab the holiday bagels. FYI- so excited to let you know that they are coming to South Windsor on Sullivan Avenue area in the next month or so. This will be the 2nd location of Benson's. Be sure to check them out and support them as you won't be disappointed. I'll be definitely make many visits being go much closer to me.

I love me a good bagel and I came to Benson's Bagels before a pottery class. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy but the staff managed it well. They had a bunch of different bagels behind the counter. I got my go to order a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel. I also got a half dozen bagels. If you are dining in they bring your meal to you. Inside they have some table and chair to sit down and eat. People come in and out quickly so the tables could get a bit crumbly. But nothing a napkin can wipe off. The sandwich was good. A standard bacon egg and cheese. The bagel was soft and thick. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Having a frappe first thing in the morning probably not the best idea but went with it. I thought it was delicious and slurped it all down. My girlfriend wasn't thrilled about her vanilla coffee. Too sweet. So when we got home we added more coffee to it to balance it out. Literally live up the road from here and don't ever think to come. Cool little spot in the plaza so can see why it gets a lot of traffic.

Once in a lifetime bagle! I will probably never have another but I am blessed to have it once.

Thank you Staff and owners of Benson's. I'm not sad I won't have another, just glad I had it once. I deam of this bagley every day.

hands down some of the best bagels and breakfast sandwiches in CT! When I saw their "Facebook Special" breakfast sandwich online, I knew I had to try it. They have these new, insanely delicious garlic parm bagels, and paired with sandwich (steak, onions, pepper, egg, cheese, etc) was exceptional. That garlic parm bagel blew me out of the water. It has the perfect parm and garlic balance and I ended up ordering two of them to go! Their passion lemonade was also fantastic and a must try! I also got a bacon egg and cheese on a bacon cheddar bagel and it was FIRE! The bacon cheddar bagel itself had some much flavor and chunks of cheddar and bacon, i was so happy I scored the last one! The staff here was so friendly and helpful, and I wish I lived closer because I would be here all the time! CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Amazing sandwich choices, and superior service. This was hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while. When you choose to eat inside, they bring your breakfast to your table. Workers are super nice. The business has plenty of eat in space and is very clean. This might be our new breakfast spot!

4.5 out of 5 My wife and I went out on a limb to try Benson's because we wanted to try something new! Benson's did NOT fail to deliver. I got the Facebook special which included shaved steak and hash browns my wife had a lovely egg and cheese. The ONLY critique would be that my wife's bagel had a bit of a char and the texture was a tad tough. Otherwise, VERY pleased and we will absolutely be coming back!!

Was in the mood for a Novalox sandwich, so stopped in this morning. Busy place, but plenty of help. My sandwich (on a rye bagel) was loaded. Lots of cream cheese, lox, capers, red onion. I almost couldn't get my mouth around it, and I have a BIG mouth (just ask Alice Kramden). Anyway, excellent value. 5 stars

terrible customer service from there cashier , The black screen was down with drinks and she continued to be rude as i pointed it out and asked for the different flavors . She then yelled at her employee in front of everyone blaming them . I still didn't get an apology she just blamed everyone but herself and rolled her eyes and threw my change back at me . Young asian woman with glasses , there wasn't even enough people to warrant the terrible service .

Cute location, basic diner grub…read more Came here on a whim. Running out of breakfast spots so need to scour further out. This place came up a decent distance away, so I made the trek. Sole server was hospitable. Lots of items were unavailable when I tried to inquire about them. Drinks were self-serve, but they did deliver food. I opted for the stuffed French toast and tried their home fries to see how they prepped them. Food came out with a little wait. Took my pics and dug in. The French toast, they did try but it was not the best. Cream cheese was as advertised, sweetened and smeared lightly between lightly dipped bread pieces which were grilled on a griddle. Lots of blueberries and a few sliced strawberries. And some powered sugar for decoration. Taste-wise was okay, but was way too bready and not enough seasoning. If I were to advise on how to fix this, make a cream cheese filling with the cool whip and cream cheese, and make it a substantial layer of filling. Macerate the strawberries, and soak the bread a bit longer so the custard can seep in. The home fries were lightly seasoned, cooked through but lacking flavor. I like my home fries to have a bit of a sear to them with crispy browned bits. I also like them to be seasoned a little heavier, or else all you get is a bland potato. Pricing was about 18.50. So not bad for the dishes I ordered. Portion was right, just the quality was lacking. As a little local diner, it fits the bill just fine. You can get eggs and omelettes and the space is nice. Just know it's very basic and you'll be just fine.

Not bad local diner, little pricy…read more Came here because it's one of the few breakfast spots I've yet to try. Made the trek and found a small diner at the end of a strip. It's a homey spot, lots of seating and the staff was very friendly. I opted for the Irish Benedict, so I can try their hash and their eggs. Food came quickly, I took my pics then took my bites. The eggs were poached well, hollandaise is creamy and rich, English muffins toasted and buttered, and the hash was a little gummy and mushy. Whatever they mixed with it made the texture not so great. For 18 bucks, it was mostly executed right but stumbled on the one element that increased the price point. As an eggs Benedict, it was good but pricy for what you get. For the area, it's a solid diner spot. It's good, but just a little high for the quality.

Sophie, our waitress, greeted and seated us. BTW, the joint was jumping at 9:40. Angelina's makes their own CBH, which is always a plus. So, I opted for a CBH omelet w rye toast and home fries. Chuckles had a western omelet; Manic Mike two eggs over w ham steak, potatoes, and rye; finally, my fried Crash Test Dummy Ron had a Belgian waffle, real(!) maple syrup, blueberries, and a side of sausage links (4). Food came quickly considering the crowd. Sophie kept us over caffeinated while we waited. The interested thing about the omelets is that the cook adds CBH (or western ingredients, in Chuckles' case) to the top, in addition to the inside. My omelet was excellent. My only quibble - the toast was more like warm bread than toast. Polling the crowd produced an average of 4 stars, coincidentally my rating. I am definitely a fan.

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.

"And there's fire on the mountain Lightening in the air…read moreGold in them hills and it's waiting for me there" (Marshall Tucker Band) Fire On the Mountain has one of the most unique menus I've ever encountered. Seriously, where else have you ever seen breakfast quesadillas, catfish and grits, cheesecake cornbread waffles, smoked brisket hash, deep fried pork ribs, catfish, mushroom, and alligator tacos, and a Puerto Rican Rice Bowl all happily living in the same menu's neighborhood? And then, the icing on the cake was our server - a charismatic and uber-friendly gent named Bromwell who lights up the room with his personality. He made my list of the five greatest servers I interacted with this year. The restaurant's location is as unusual as its menu. You'll find it occupying the front space at the Suffield Commons Senior Living Apartments! Yup, as you walk through the restaurant and out their back door, you actually enter a common space for the housing complex. The restaurant itself has two dining rooms with booths, tables, and chairs and a bar with dining room chairs. That eclectic menu is chock full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices with Mexican and barbecue flairs. We were there for lunch and ordered two things. The first was an enormous Cheese Quesadilla ($9.35) with pork ($3.12) on a grilled flour tortilla served with sour cream and pico. It was a thing of beauty, cut into five thick wedges loaded with smoked pork. Our second item was a Caesar Salad (Half size for $6.23) with a side of smoked brisket ($9.36). I passed on the croutons and Caesar dressing in lieu of barbecue sauce as my dressing. I gotta tell you, the brisket was GREAT, a big serving of tender and juicy smoked beef cut into four slabs that must have totaled close to a half pound. We loved everything about Fire On the Mountain and agreed that we need to return for a proper breakfast when we are out that way or making a morning airport run. PRO TIP The restrooms are located in the housing complex's common space I described earlier/ Just exit the restaurant by the door in the rear dining room, and you're just about there.

And when I order scrambled eggs with cheese this is exactly how I want them made, fluffy and mixed together. Perhaps their other food is better than what I ordered, which was a combination grinder, but I have to say compared to others that I've had in the area, this seemed more like a 7-Eleven convenience store hoagie with its limited amounts of meat and cheese. The other thing that I'll mention )just because it seems to be a theme at every restaurant that I've been to around 8 PM in this town), everybody seems to be far more concerned about walking out the door two minutes before they're supposed to close is the impression they leave on guests now walk in 20 or 30 minutes before closing time. This will be the third time I've been to some quick family dining establishment in the area that I've had this experience-- I'm gonna offer management the same advice that I've offered to other establishments nearby: If there is a time of day that you want to leave work, you should close your business in whatever time it takes for you to clean in order to make that happen as opposed to risking guest walking in and being made to feel as if their inconveniencing everybody who works there for making the decision to go to your establishment to spend our money.
