I live in an apartment with old, dirty beige carpet. While the complex offers a complimentary carpet cleaning service upon lease renewal each year, the service is basic and frankly, poor. Likely the company performing the service is paid little for a quick surface cleaning. I have asked the leasing office on several occasions if I could pay for a deeper cleaning, however they have denied this request. Therefore I went on my mission to try to find a reputable carpet cleaning company in Jacksonville. Browsing the web, I decided to look at reviews on Yelp before committing to one of the companies advertising in the coupon magazines we all get in the mail. The deals in these magazine sound good, right? 8 rooms for $79! Well as it turns out, most of them are ripoffs. Many advertise to get you to pay for higher priced services once they enter your home. I am not suggesting all of these companies are ripoff's; I just know several people who have fallen for such scams. If you don't believe me, please visit Bentley residential and commercial services website, where you can watch a local news report on these shameful companies. I decided to submit for a quote online through Bentley's service and quickly received a call back with a reasonable quote after describing my apartment size and condition of the carpet therein. I scheduled service for three rooms, hall, a sofa and love seat for Friday, two days after the quote. The day was selected by me due to my schedule, though the company is flexible with dates and times. The company owner, Patrick, arrived promptly at 10 AM and began cleaning my sofa and loveseat. Patrick was extremely throughout explaining how the cleaning process worked and what to expect. I did have an old stain on my rug and he was honest about the likelihood of it being removed since it has been there for years. After Patrick was done cleaning the carpets, sofa, and loveseat, he gave me some tips on the drying process and what to do thereafter. I am pleased to report my carpets and sofas look great! The best part was the quote given to me over the telephone was the exact amount that I paid, a very reasonable amount for outstanding service. I am so glad I did my research before wasting my money on a bait and switch tactic. Mr. Bentley even called a few hours later to see how things looked and ask if I had any questions or concerns. He also offered to return if anything was missed or I was dissatisfied in anyway. He provided plastic booties so I could walk on the carpet without soiling it while drying! Please consider Bentley Carpet Cleaning before you commit to a cleaning company. It is worth the time and effort to research before paying astronomical fees for subpar service. This Thanksgiving I had my daughter coming to visit for the first time since we moved 4 years ago. Now having 2 young boys at home, (scheming to dirty the carpets, I know they do, it's not a conspiracy) I desperately needed to have the carpets cleaned, so the wife didn't lose her mind that I let anyone see the carpets ( By the way, it wasn't that bad). Do any of you have dogs? Mine loves to do the Butt Scooting Boogie across the carpet all the time, so had to get rid of the skid marks, when he hooks it too hard and grinds the crap into the carpet (literally grinding crap). So I contacted Pat at Bentley Cleaning Services, to clean the carpets. Now here is where they made me a customer for life. I called Pat on Thursday for him to arrange a time to come and do an estimate for the work I needed, so he came the next day. Now here's where my dilemma. I was scheduled for Surgery that Monday ( the week before Thanksgiving) I let Pat know what was going on and he went out of his way to come over on a Sunday and clean my carpets. I was thrilled he could get it done not only before the Holiday but to come on a Sunday was unbelievable, and the price he gave me was phenomenal. Sunday comes, and Pat arrived at 9:45 we were scheduled for 10:00 am. He came in set himself up and got to work. About an hour and a half later he was packing up and was done. Once he had finished, we inspected the carpets and they looked beautiful. We had to avoid walking on the carpets for a few hours while they dried, but when they did dry, they looked and felt brand new. So all in all I survived the surgery, my daughters visit, Thanksgiving, and the wife was thrilled. Thank you Pat for making it a great holiday. P.S. I had called a couple of other companies about cleaning my carpets. Their response didn't sound like they particularly cared. I called Bentley and was immediately treated to a professional response. We had to reschedule our cleaning, and he was easily able to do that. Communication was excellent. The day he came to do our cleaning, he arrived just as he'd said he would. He had all his equipment ready to go. He did an excellent, professional job. The carpets were left without too much water in them, and dried just as he'd said they would. They looked great. I had the pleasure of meeting Pat and his amazing son Alex when I needed a few carpets cleaned after some water damage. When they arrived there were other workmen on the premises and Pat very graciously offered to come back later. He did, and then proceeded to do a fantastic job! He worked quickly and efficiently. A tarp was even hung in the front entryway to keep the AC in and the flies out. Because this was an insurance claim, I'm not sure of the exact fee received but whatever it was, it was worth it! I asked for 4 small rugs to be cleaned (largest was 2' x 6') because I bought them used at an estate sale and some were VERY dirty even after I beat them a bit and vacuumed them.
