I wanted to like this place, their sushi is pretty good and I liked their potstickers but my BBQ bun was so rock hard I couldn't eat it and I found a piece of broken plastic in my salad. It's spotless inside, and the quality is always PERFECT I love all of the sushi I've tried my husband is a fan of General Tso's chicken. Yummy egg rolls. It's seriously good clean tasty food. Wow! Bento Spicy Chicken was only seasoned with watered down soy sauce. Bland and nasty. Pot Sticker dumplings completely deep fried and had greasy black specks from something in the fryer all over them. White rice was mushy. I wish I could give them "no" stars. Total waste of money. read more

This place is very cheap and figured out why. The sushi is first off very warm. I am used to eating at places that have cold sushi as if it was actually refrigerated. I actually went for the wasabi to counteract the taste buds because of the warm sushi. I didn't even think I liked wasabi until now. I would stay away from there. There are better places around Tulsa with cheap options. Also note that I am not sure if the AC was out or they don't have AC but it was boiling hot in there on a 90 degree day. No one wants to sit there and try to eat while sweating. read more

This place is amazing!! I come here all the time. I've never had a bad or even a "meh" experience here. The staff is so nice and attentive, and super on top of they're game, every time. Every time that I've ordered to go, they give me plenty of napkins, forks, and sauces. I usually get the Classic Bento Box because it has a little bit of everything..it's super good. Their fried rice and sesame chicken is also outstanding. Their sushi is really good too. Would never go to a place like Panda Express when I live in a town with Bentos. I'm in love! read more

First visit to Bento, and I was very pleased. I hesitate to try a new Asian place without some recommendations, but I'm new to Tulsa and didn't know who to ask, so I decided to gamble. I am glad I did. The restaurant seemed very clean, and no lingering odors from frying -- nothing but the scent of good food. Service was polite and efficient (not overly-friendly, but that would be unusual in an Asian restaurant). I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Potstickers to go. My food was ready very quickly (5 minutes or so). Pad Thai is a bit different everywhere you go, but the Pad Thai here was perfect for me. Just enough heat, just enough sweetness. My chicken potstickers were a tad overdone but had great flavor. My meal came to about $13.00 but it would easily feed two (and in fact I saved half of it for another meal). I will look forward to coming back and trying the other dishes on the menu. read more

The service, presentation, and food were good. We were having a great experience when something caught my eye scurrying across the floor. Our table was back by the restrooms and kitchen. I have a few issues with this place: no delivery charge was mentioned on the phone or on their menu, my order was missing an item-after I repeated it twice, the sushi was warm, no flavor, and the wasabi was runny! I had the sesame chicken and it was one of the best I've had from an Asian restaurant recently. My family and I eat here a couple times a month. The portions are always well-sized and the value is great. Joanne will make you something special if you ask for something off the menu. Now as far as the sushi goes, they aren't leading with that so don't expect top of the charts sushi but it's a good add on to the other items you get with the classic bento box. Always clean. Plus they deliver. We had it delivered last night and it was solid. Will continue to go back and our kids want to go there a lot. read more

Bento Diner was recommended to us a few years ago by a friend and we've been eating it ever since. I love the egg drop soup and fried rice and they have the best egg and spring rolls. Meats are always good and well seasoned and veggies taste very fresh and none of the dishes are overly oily. Very consistent, good food. read more

YUMM YUMM YUMM! This was our first time at Bento and it will not be our last. My meal was the Dragon Roll and the B A Roll and both were great. Loved the crispness of the shrimp along with the smoothness of the cream cheese and I'm a sucker for good eel on the Dragon Roll. More great fried fish and eel on the B A Roll. Went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago. It's kinda small so it can get crowded fast. Got the orange chicken bento box and it was good and flavorful. Good sushi. Funny thing is: my favorite part of the meal was the simple Green salad. It was especially the dressing that was really good. I think it was a ginger miso dressing. I actually ordered a second salad because I liked it so much sushi was good the tuna sashimi was the best out of all the sushi that I tasted but again I defer to the ginger dressing as the highlight of my meal. I really wasn't very impressed. My husband got 2 rolls and I got 2 rolls. His were cooked, mine, unfortunately we're just warm, when they should have been cold. Also, the rainbow roll I ordered had no flavor, and the avocado was as hard as the cucumber in both the rainbow roll and the Philly roll I ordered. My husband's food turned out very good though. I have been to Bento Asian Diner several times. Every time has been good until this last time. Let me say the food is great minus their ability to serve cold sushi. My problem now is that I called them to order food. I went to the store and picked it up. When you sign the credit card receipt there is a tip option. Obviously I do not tip if I pick it up. I am not tipping for them to do what they are already paid to do. My bill was $9.21. On the total line I put $9.21 (no tip). My bank statement showed up with them charging me $12.21. I will not be going back there unless they can fix it. UPDATE: They have refunded my $3. Still not going back for now. read more

First time I came here was when it just opened up years ago. The food was great then. Everything was fresh, served hot with very distinctive flavors and the chicken had a nice crunch to it. I came back just two times this year. Both times I ordered the same dishes, the classic bento box with orange chicken. Both times the chicken came out mushy and the orange sauce was generic in taste. Not what I remembered having years ago. I ordered a salad with the classic bento box. When it came out it was drowning in sesame dressing (half of the salad bowl was filled with the dressing. This is no exaggeration.) to the point where I couldn't even finish it. It was just too overwhelming. The rest of the bento box was average at best. Meanwhile, my husband ordered a Pad See Ew dish from there. While the flavor was good, it lacked the broccoli and peanuts that usually comes standard with this dish at other restaurants. (I have never seen this particular dish served without these two ingredients.) Aside from that, for the price you pay you get good sized portions. Every time I've been there I've never been able to finish my plate, always having left overs to take home. Service is fast and friendly and the times I've been there they've been attentive to our water glasses. read more

Did a take out of the Bento box. The spicy general Sao chicken was mushy and not spicy. The veggies had an odd taste. Everything was Luke warm. I am SO confused by the positive reviews. Went there for lunch, during the lunch rush (there were only two empty tables in the restaurant, and people were getting to go orders), so the food SHOULD have been fresh. It was not. I ordered the classic bento box with sesame chicken, steamed rice, crab rangoons, miso soup, and shrimp tempura roll. The sesame chicken was soggy, rubbery, and the sauce was too salty (also the chicken was sitting in about an inch of sauce..). The steamed rice was overcooked, mushy, and flavorless. The crab rangoons were soft rather than crispy. The miso soup was good but obviously from a dry packet. The shrimp tempura had overcooked/underseasoned rice, TOO much cream cheese (it was like biting pure cream cheese filled rolls), and teeny tiny shrimp tempura. It was also warm. Warm sushi. ::shudder:: I tried quite a variety of foods and NOTHING was delicious (in fact mostly inedible). I will not be coming back, and unless you have VERY low standards with regards to Japanese food, I don't suggest you do either. read more
