First try at Yummy Asia. Order your lunch, dinner, or sushi... drink. Pay at the counter and have a seat or carry out. We really didn't know what to expect, but were impressed by the friendly and quaint place. It's got a bright vibe to the inside "Jade" glow. They do have some very good appetizer options along with the soups, and also a kids menu. It's very small inside. We were lucky to get a place to sit at a table. I have always wanted to try it out. I have been there at least 3 times and pretty much every time has been the same. The service was good and friendly - but the food was inedible. Today I tried General TSO chicken and the chicken was the toughest I've ever seen. Most of it just couldn't be chewed. It was like eating strings. This place is a really great find! High quality food and great value - a difficult combination to find these days. I made many trips to this unassuming little restaurant over a period of about a week. Every time I went was fantastic - always greeted with a smile, freshly prepared food, and clean tables. And portions are very large for the money. I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup- for me it was very nicely balanced. And the hibachi dishes are fantastic - my favorite dish is their hibachi beef, a big dish with a lot of tender and nicely cooked beef. There's some good Chinese food out there, but also some bad as well. Both my wife and I were in the mood for LoMein, so we ordered two large house special LoMeins, a large hot and sour soup, spring rolls, and fried cheese sides. The LoMein was the best we've ever had. Loaded with beef, chicken, and shrimp, and the flavor was perfect. The Hot and Sour soup was PERFECT! Just the right level of "Hot" and delicious mushrooms, and Tofu. If you dine in here, it's like a little shop in NYC but in the middle of south Tulsa. The family that runs this are really versatile. Service with dine and pick up is friendly and efficient. This is a budget friendly, family friendly place. Is it Michelin star? No. But they are very popular because they do really well with a wide variety of Asian cuisines. Fast friendly service, fresh ingredients and they will make any dish spicy on a scale of 1-5. I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars but since I can't, I rounded up. Do not be misled by the outside of this location. Once inside it's very clean and friendly. They have everything from your favorite General Tso's chicken to sushi, soups, and hibatchi. The food is cooked to order and really fresh and hot. We love their takeout. The kids love the sushi and I love the broccoli beef. Everything is pretty standard Asian fare, just done well.
