There were a few positives to our meal. The gyoza that came with my bento box was good, and I also enjoyed the California roll. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The chicken tempura was particularly underwhelming. It included only two small pieces of chicken, while the majority of the dish consisted of vegetables. The batter was extremely greasy, and the vegetables were soaked with oil to the point that it was dripping off them. Service was also lacking. Our server did not return to check on our table during the meal or offer beverage refills, which left us feeling overlooked. To make matters worse, I felt quite ill shortly after leaving the restaurant. While I cannot say with certainty what caused it, it certainly did not leave me with a favorable impression of the experience. Based on the food quality and service we received, I would not recommend this restaurant and do not plan to return.

We recently dined here for dinner and had a mixed experience…read more On the positive side, our waitress was very good. She was attentive and knowledgeable, and when we asked about the Papaya Seafood dish (we were specifically looking for the papaya), she explained that many customers do not like papaya, so the restaurant removed it from the dish and now only uses the sauce. While that was not indicated on the menu, the dish itself still tasted good, and we appreciated her clear explanation. Most of the food overall was decent and enjoyable. We ordered the hibachi filet and shrimp, avocado roll, California roll, miso soup, and spring roll. Everything was prepared well and met expectations for a casual Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn that overshadowed the meal. After I casually asked our waitress if she spoke Mandarin (which she did, and she kindly explained several things to us in Mandarin), a manager-looking woman wearing a dark green dress abruptly inserted herself into the conversation without invitation. She commented, "Oh, I couldn't tell you're Chinese," and then proceeded to ask an unsolicited and politically sensitive question: "Do you think Taiwan is part of China?" She continued to press political opinions that were completely unrelated to dining and entirely uninvited. Introducing politically charged topics to customers during a meal is highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Regardless of personal views, this is not something that belongs in a business setting, especially in a restaurant where guests are simply trying to enjoy their evening. Because of this interaction, we have decided not to return. Good food and service cannot compensate for uncomfortable, forced political discussions. Businesses should focus on hospitality, not politics.
