Omg I actually like sushi...well ok Cali roll but still...

Can't believe I have never tried this place before. And I can't believe I have never manned up and tried sushi before. Ok, it was a California roll but it was a start... I had the bento chicken as well, and man was it good. The sauce to dip the lightly breaded pieces of chicken was awesome. Kinda BBQ, yet so much more. The service was friendly but kinda minimal. Then again I was chowing like a madman so maybe they were afraid to lose a finger to my feeding frenzy... The decor is nice, and the tables are spaced enough apart to make it a cozy but not cramped kind of place. I will surely come here again.

I went for lunch this visit but have been here for dinner as well. The parking lot can be crazy, so choose your path wisely. I ordered miso soup for $1.95 and chicken teriyaki for $8.95 Usually "Bento" places have a lunch bento box special. It's rare that I make it somewhere for a lunch special during the work week so it was kind of disappointing not to see a lunch bento box special having made it for lunch. Miso soup is good,I prefer it with tofu and seaweed - it comes with just green onions. Teriyaki was good and service was fast.

It was a chilly chilly 11degrees out as I finally made my way to Bento (I had been meaning to check out this joint forever, and called in for some take-away). I opened the door was was blanketed in a warm and yummy aroma. I was amazed to see a packed house. There was just one server working the dining area, and she was all over the place. The dining area was nice and cozy, and somewhat cool (for the Tri-Cities). Now for the food. I went with the Chicken Teriyaki meal (complete with two scoops of sticky rice and a side of lettuce...errr...salad). Since I'm a growing boy and am always daring, I had to guinea pig-ify myself and try a sushi roll (the California). The latter was alright. I can't believe how LITTLE wasabi they gave me, I coulda easily snorted what they provided & been fine (luckily I had some at home---the Cub Scout in me--I'm always prepared). The highlight was definitely the chicken teriyaki. The chicken was succulent and the sauce was yummy and paired well with the rice. There are a few beer options here, the menu extensive, and the ambiance is cool---a definite cool, healthy, and economic option.

Tried this restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is at the end of a strip mall and seemed like a popular place. The longer I sat there, the more people came in. They had a lot of menu items I would like to try. Even though I went in for a snack, I ended up getting carried away and ordered too much. This trip, I had the Beef Bento and an Eel Roll. Along with a soda, the price ran about $26. The Eel Roll was good. I would be interested in trying some of their other sushi offerings the next time I go. The price wasn't too bad either. The Bento box came with a large salad, shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice, beef, and a choice of gyoza or egg rolls. I liked the price at around $13.00. It did not come with as much food as I am used to having in a Bento Box and the beef was a bit on the dry side for my taste. It might have been better had I asked for some additional teriyaki sauce. It did have good flavor. On the whole, I would be willing to give this restaurant another shot whenever I am back in town.

We eat here very often! It's my husband's go to comfort food. I miss the option of sushi being on the menu, so if that changes, let me know!

I also found out the owner trained under a master sushi chef in Japan for 10 years, and you can definitely tell they care about the quality of the food. I'm originally from Seattle, where there's sushi on what feels like every corner, and Aki Sushi is honestly one of the best sushi and teriyaki spots I've had anywhere in Washington. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Service was disorganized from the start. My wife requested water with no ice, but we were immediately brought a glass full of ice by a different server who wasn't even assigned to our table. From there, communication between staff appeared completely disjointed. The food was equally disappointing. I ordered spicy chicken teriyaki and received what was essentially plain grilled chicken with almost no sauce--nothing resembling a proper teriyaki dish. We also attempted to order nigiri, but were told the server needed to check with the chef. No one ever came back to follow up, and we were never given the opportunity to order sushi at all. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us, asked how the food was, or tried to correct anything. The only acknowledgment we received was a brief apology when they brought the check, mentioning we weren't able to try any fish--which was exactly what we had been waiting for. The overall experience felt inattentive and poorly managed, and the lack of follow-through made it especially frustrating. Based on this visit, we won't be returning.

There is nothing fancy here, but the food is pretty good. The sushi is well done by the Sushi Chef and I have no complaints there. I am usually troubled by Asian Restaurants that span throughout different regions, but Fusion....that's the point. I think they do well, although I am spoiled with Seattle Teriyaki. It set my bar for Teriyaki and velveted Chicken or Beef is NOT it. Velveting is a Chinese technique and NOT a Seattle-Japanese technique. Their portions are good and they are generous and eager to provide what you need. I always feel welcome and never leave hungry. I am going to try a house specialty now. I've had their Sushi, Teriyaki, Teriyaki-Don Bowls and their Egg Drop Soup. I like it. I go there frequently. I would've given it 4 stars but sometimes I have to get my own Sriracha Sauce or refill my own water. That won't keep me from going back or tipping well. Everyone is nice and well intentioned; just not trained well for true "Full Service" restaurant hosting and service. It's great for families and inexpensive date nights. If you heard it's not good, ignore that. It's just fine. It's a Pan-Asian restaurant with a Sushi Belt-train for lunch and it's worth the $! I'm heading there now. See you in a few minutes! :)
