very drag and always on 10 auntie coded. good luck trying on clothes it's just a curtained corner. i'm small and barely fit. prices were reasonable but some garments were stained or ripped. still a cute little shop on the strip just wasn't for me. the owner seemed super personable with everyone that came in! read more

What a treasure! It was in walking distance from our airbnb and as you flip the racks, like the 2 dollar, to the other well-priced items you will find wonders, like designer clothing, unique vintage, and it really made me so happy exploring and trying on pieces! The folx who work there were so kind, sweet, and helpful! I almost bought some $2 tops, spotted a great $5, and settled on a $20 vintage sweater (so gorgeous and unique) and a gift for a friend! read more

Cute local thrift store. Silver Lake is supposed to be known for thrifting and I was in the market for some specific things, and was also in the area. Found some of what I needed and something else I kinda could use. Very fair prices and friendly employees. Se habla español :) read more

Messy, cluttered, clunky hours, terrible parking, can get sky high pricing. However, proceeds go to a great cause and the lady working here is super genuinely friendly! Additionally, they get really nice brands(not always in the best condition) so you'll never know what you'll find! read more

I appreciate this store supports AIDS but was very put off by staff. Major attitude and ridiculous pricing as if they were doing me a favor. I declined to buy because of the saleswoman's tactlessness. read more

I loved it here the owner was awesome and she helped me and one other costumer with out purchases while giving us enough space to browse without feeling watched I loved this little shop it was so cute! read more

This little thrift shop has a lot of fun little gems and great deals! Some items are fairly negotiable too, especially when you purchase multiple items. The proceeds go to the hollywood free clinic. They help thousands of people every year. The woman at the register was SO kind. Her name is Teresa and she treated us with such kindness. Bring cash! $1 charge for card but they take card and contactless. Small but air conditioned and vintage and modern styles. Don't be discouraged by the size. Many treasures lay in here. :) read more

Update: thought I'd give it one last shot. Worse than ever! Now the pile of donations is five foot high and nothing of value in the shop. I spent $0.00. Last time I'm visiting. read more

Cute little thrift shop in a strip mall. Probably the tiniest I've ever stepped foot in, even. Lots of super cute items for great prices, but a few overpriced. The lady, who I'm guessing runs the place, was very sweet and accommodating. My bestie bought me a purse that was new with tags for only $9. I would have paid double for it, easy. There's free parking out front in the lot but there aren't too many spaces. This place supports the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic, which is much better than giving your dough to Goodwill. read more

I was in the neighborhood and wanted to go thrifting. This is an okay thrift store. It's tiny, but there are gems hiding in this store if you can find them. Parking was not an issue. The cashier was friendly to me. I found a Kipling bag and a tank that was on the dollar rack. Got the Kipling bag for $17, so I spent $18 total. It's vintage so you can't buy it anywhere online unless it's from a reseller. I love the color. I was hoping for MORE gems than what I found so that's why I'm giving three stars. Overall, satisfied but I was really hoping for more of a variety. Although I will admit, it's hard to find a lot of gems when everyone in Los Angeles thrifts, too. read more

My dentist is right next door here so every time I have an appointment I stop by after. I browse the store trying to find that special gem and I usually do. There have a good variety of things from purses to mugs, to framed pictures to knick knacks. Oh, and there's no tax here!! read more

YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO READ THIS Located in the heart of SilverLake, one would expect high-end vintage apparel for a decent price. Guess what. YOU DO! I live and breathe thrifting. So when I tell you that you are in for a treat, trust me you're getting the cake. Looks can be deceiving, the store itself is fairly small. BUT filled to the brim with treasure. I came in scouring for some books and vintage apparel, and out I came with satisfied with a great deal. (Don't be afraid to negotiate) the shop owner is extremely friendly and threw in a a pair of AllSaints jeans on top of a 20 book purchase! Total came out to $40! I told the owner I was a first time customer (and I was), and she helped me out with the pricing. PARKING The thrift store is adjacent to some awesome food places and parking is usually always available! No need to pay for parking here. The store also has reserved spots just for the store. THE STORE HAS A FITTING ROOM Apparel thrifters step into the conundrum from time to time, where fitting rooms are not readily available, but this thrift store has got your back! I walked out of the store happy to be a thrifter. read more

LOVE this thrift store! After my Marie Kondo Cleaning, I would nightly drop off loads and loads of items. (not good to do at night, they say). I've donated or gifted 75% of my personal items. When I gave away something I should NOT have, they gave it back to me..... Super NIce Folk, Super Cheap Thrift Store! Ma & Pa Thrift. The Hollywood Free Clinic was there for me....and this store supports them. YES, you have my support. read more

Berda Paradise Thrift Store - LOVE Berda Paradise! MY photo of many night donations made! Thanks Marie Kondo- 75% items GONE to Berda! Lovely folk! - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Came here during a stroll in Silverlake after getting coffee from Muddy Paws. Shay is super nice and let my pup walk around (so long as she doesn't pee). I love that they support the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic, which provides medical counseling to the community. Got a cute bag for $10 here, and there's a lot of things to look through beyond clothing. Was tempted to buy some $5 records or a book. There's parking in the lot in front of the structure since it's a plaza. I guess the only issue is that it's pretty cramped, but only because there's so much stuff! Masks are required right now and there's a huge bottle of hand sanitizer at the front. Hope to come back here a few times and even more when there's a vaccine/cure! read more

So many lovely things. Not just vintage... Not just antique... So much style and taste in wearables to what you need, but never thought of before. Just go! Great find! read more

Used to love this place. Not anymore. I'm never going back. And I was a loyal regular for many years. The older woman that's in the shop now that ISN'T Shari is beyond rude and AWFUL. After ringing me up (everything is WAY overpriced now btw) I realized she had put back a vase that I'd set on the counter to buy. The vase was sticker priced at $2.99. When she rang me up she said "I'll give this to you for $15." I said "it's already priced at $2.99." She said "oh, okay". Then she rung me up. As I was getting ready to leave I realized the vase wasn't there. I asked her what happened to the vase. She said "you said you didn't want to pay the real price for it so I put it back." What the hell?!? It was priced at $2.99, and she arbitrarily changed the price when I got to the counter. Never ever going back. I hope she reads this. read more

I love the selection and they have AMAZING prices! Not overpriced like some donation-based stores. Last time I went, I tried on soooo many things (unfortunately a lot didn't fit) but it just means I found so many things I liked. I ended up getting a few shirts and a backpack but I definitely need to go back. read more

They help those who can't help themselves. Their proceeds go to the Sunset Free clinic down on Sunset Blvd.

one of silver lakes best thrifts. always great finds! the owner is a ray of sunshine. highly recommend.

Located in the same mini-mall as El Cochinito and Baskin-Robbins, is this tiny confused thrift store. Containing as much junk as it might have Gems. Its got clothing, appliances, books, you name it really, silverware, dishes... T-shirts for a dollar outside, and varying other attrocities abound. Not somewhere I would seek out, as it doesn't specialize but for a moment to walk around and check out hideous hats, and painful old dresses, a couple ancient ties, and a barbie TV, it can't be beat. read more

I just came across this on a real whim and saw the "thrift store" sign and had to pop in. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and especially loved that they have a "dollar rack." I picked up an amazing Annie-Hall style wool tweed sport jacket for $1!! The wool is thin enough to wear here in sunny socal and the greenish hue is a nice transitional shade as we go from spring to summer. I can also wear this during fall/winter so that's a double plus! One DOLLAR. geez. I'm coming back, 'nuff said. read more

Good selection of stuff here, and cheap prices. The lady working there was giving off super weird rude vibes, and I did not feel welcome at all. GF agrees and was already out the door. Given the competition for such stores esp. in this area I won't be back. read more

Apparently their $1 sales start on Mondays and I went on a Sunday afternoon, so it is very likely that I missed the really good stuff. Also, since other Yelpers attest that the best donations get added to the store's inventory in autumn and I visited in spring, my review might not be reflective of the store in its prime. Overall, it is a fairly small space, but the store is rather well-kept and organized. There is a small dressing room in the corner. There were not very many vintage pieces, but most of the clothing appeared to be name/designer brand for those that care about that kind of thing. The most commendable aspect of this store is that proceeds go towards a great cause. read more

It's hard walking out of here. There's always something to look at. Even the people who work here, they are great to look at. I've found shoes, fur coats, and strange (cowboy porn) fabric here. Their stuff is incredibly random -and that's part of fun and thrill of the hunt. Cheers! read more

Went into this store for the first time and the lady in there was completely tone-deaf. I wanted to buy a jacket I found in the $1 section and when I told her I only had a $20 she looked at my boyfriend and asked him if he had a dollar. My boyfriend didn't even say anything and pulled out his wallet to check when she said "oh you don't speak English". It was completely off-putting. When I said I can just pay with my card she said "no you can't". My boyfriend is a POC and does speak English and it was just super weird of her to assume he doesn't. It was even weirder because she was also a POC. I'm glad I only spent a dollar here and nothing more. read more

I have been shopping at Berda Paradise for years. Like most thrift stores that raise money for a good cause (the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic in this case), people give good stuff, but it is inconsistent. I have bought the most wonderful vintage stuff there (a hot pink 1950s summer wool coat for $12), tops, dresses.... You can find "new" as well as "used" stuff, some junk and some really good. The prices can be a bit high on occasion (i.e. $12, rather than $4), but it all goes to a good cause. It is a lot better for women's clothes than for men's. read more

BEWARE, OWNER OF STORE IS NOT AN HONEST PERSON. TRIED TO CHEAT ME FOR A PURCHASE I ALREADY MADE! Beware of owner at this shop, if you decide to purchase anything and continue looking around. She tried to tell me that I didn't pay her for the items I had just purchased, earlier. She said, that she couldn't remember if I paid her. No one is going to try and cheat me, that's for sure. Also, the shop is way overpriced. She is trying to sell clothing that you can purchase for maybe, $5-$10 bucks at Goodwill and charges $35 a piece, instead. A lot of these items are not even vintage and priced too high. Some are also damaged and dirty. Many people living in the Silverlake Community constantly drop off boxes of items to donate to her to sell. They should just donate to a local charity, instead. She will also be impolite to people who do not purchase anything from her shop. I saw her give people an attitude when they decided not to buy anything and told her goodbye. She could have at least said, goodbye. She obviously lacks, common courtesy. She looked pissed off, too. She shouldn't do this to people, especially in front of other customers. She gave me a bad vibe, too. I will not be returning to this store, again. ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECIEPT, WRITTEN OR PRINTED AND MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T CHEAT YOU! read more

Yesterday I had one of the rudest experiences ever that I am sure I will never step foot in this store again! The door to this place was wide open and just when I stepped one foot into the door a dark skinned woman with an afro who was talking on the phone looked at me and told me that the store was closed. I didn't think much of it other than the fact that I was upset because my friend had told me about a sweater she saw here that I intended on buying so I just turned around and left. It occurred to me that I should check the time so that I knew what time they closed and when I looked at my watch and it was 6:23. -___- what store closes at such an odd hour? and if she was really closed why didnt she close the door?! I will never buy here again nor will my friend who is actually a regular here. I can't stand rude people! read more

Maybe not the usual treasure chest but had plenty of books which saved the day. She also had a few classic DVD sets for the DVD media aficionado. Personally I'd hit this spot once a week or every two weeks for different Jems. read more

I really like this thrift store! Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the pricing is inconsistent. It really surprises me that some items like a simple t-shirt are $15 but then a Patagonia torrent shell jacket almost brand new would only be priced at $12. I bought a pair of trousers brand new for $1 on the $1 rack as well as a vintage crew neck for $6 but when I tried to buy a tank that was very used that I also found on the $1 rack, it was $9? I love what they have here but the pricing is so very inconsistent. Still very happy with what I bought and will be back again, just would like to see more consistency. Either make it expensive or make it cheap. read more

This is a great resale store and I've been shopping here for years. I've found real steals for both myself and friends. It does become inconsistent I think due to the times when their donations are high (like around the fall leading to the holidays) which is the best time to find something. Sometimes on the pricey side but weighing the item and price, well worth it and the cause towards the Hollywood Free Clinic! read more

wandered in out of curiosity and walked out with some fantastic finds. the $5 rack really did a number on my wallet but I was happy with not only my purchase, but also the fact that the proceeds went toward the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic. if I would have known, I would have brought items for donation. this was, by far, the happiest accident I could've made. I will 100% be returning next time I come to CA. read more
