They towed my car in on the Saturday morning of Memorial day weekend around 8.30 am on a police impound for overdue registration..(15 days overdue).....same day..I went to motor vehicle got my registration...went back to police station got the letter of release form thats required ....went to brooksides Hackensack location (where the car was located) got there alittle after 12 noon they were closed...... . I called their number and was able to speak with a live person who was at their Emerson location...but he said there wasn't anything he could do ....he said call back tomorrow.(Sunday) Maybe someone would be in Hackensack then. . .Sunday I called...and got a live person in Emerson....who is there 24 -7- 365....specifically for the towing operations...I was told I would have to wait until Tuesday am to get my car released...I explained I had a disabled wife ...and needed my car...he said theres nothing he could do.... There is always someone there ....to dispatch...drive the towtrucks.....lock the vehicles up in the impound yard....BUT NO ONE TO RELEASE A CAR. I didn't have AAA so I had to pay full rate for the tow. 100$ which is probably market rate. George was my operator and he was great. Super polite, conversation and made sure I knew that this would be a painless procedure. Response time was about 30 minutes and I was stuck about 5 miles north of them. Needed a jump for my battery last week. Got Brookside through AAA...Izzy was great-came quickly and was very professional. Took it to my regular auto place (where I bought the battery). They said all was fine (and it was). But the real special part was today. After the jump Thursday, my car didn't start again today. They sent Izzy again. What a PROFESSIONAL! He jumped my car again, but then ran his own diagnostic tests-several. He found the problem and printed out the reports to show my usual guys what the real problem was so they could address it correctly. read more

I decided to bring my car here after reading the great reviews on yelp when I had to get my car fixed last year. I got rear-ended pretty badly, and I wanted to go to a good place to get it fixed--I definitely was not disappointed! Honestly, the only thing I had to do was bring my car to their shop. I had given them all the insurance information they needed and they took care of the rest. I don't know how these things usually work, but I definitely appreciated that I didn't have to worry about anything. I brought my car in, and some time during the week they gave me a call to tell me that there was a lot more internal damage than they anticipated so they needed to get another quote from the insurance company for that. This was my first visit with Bergen Brookside and their service was amazing. Dash (Dosh?) was extremely helpful and honest in explaining the repairs and correlated costs. They got me in by the next day and work was complete within 1.5 days. One important note is that they are open on Saturdays until noon so you can pick up your car on the weekend, unlike other shops that are only open Mon-Fri. Been shopping around for some good autobody Repair on my 370z. I didnt want to just leave it anywhere but at the same time didnt want to pay 150$ on labor. So i left it with These guys at Brookside Auto and they took care of it. There were some minor things here and there that i felt could have been done better but they really took care of me. Professional from the second you walk in the office. Rose at the front desk is very patient and helpful. Dash, the gentleman that looked my car over was very patient and answered all my questions. He explained the whole process to me and assured me that my car will look like it was never hit. I was told it would take about 11 days for the repair. I got the car back in 10. Five stars plus! I brought my car here after an accident. Let me tell you my car looks better than when I first brought it. Beautiful, beautiful body work AND they cleaned the inside as well and left it sparkling. That was really appreciated as I had planned to take the car for detailing right after they were done with it because it needed it badly and they saved me that expense. I think they might have even cleaned up my trunk too because everything is in order and I don't remember it being that organized. Now for the drive home. The car drives smooth. No noise at all. He made what I thought was going to be a bad situation so much easier. I was pretty sure it was my battery but he did a whole diagnostic check on it to make sure it was the battery. I did front fender align and reseat, at first the job seemed good but their work don't last long. After 2 months the front fender came loose, I had to let one of the tech at dealership to tighten the fender again and later found out that they used double side stickers to align the fender. I feel the money that I spent there is a complete waste. read more
