When we arrived, we learned that it happened to be the salesperson's day off. Fortunately, the sales manager stepped in and spent the next couple of hours with us, discussing our needs and helping us narrow down the many available options. Since we weren't committed to any particular brand, we had a wide range of choices. The first appliances presented to us were all top-of-the-line models. I don't necessarily have a problem with that, but I always find it helpful to compare those premium models with second- and third-tier alternatives to better understand the trade-offs. I wish appliance dealers had better tools to make those comparisons easier. It turns out that quality appliances are expensive... or at least the ones we ended up selecting! The sales manager also helped us work through all of the other details and put together a package proposal that included package discounts. Overall, we felt well taken care of. We're not sure yet whether we'll be purchasing our appliances here, but based on our experience, we would definitely shop here again.

More recently, we came to look at dishwasher and fridge (two different occasions a few months apart). We had done a lot of research beforehand and visited a few other retailers prior to our visit. The salesman we encountered was friendly, but wanted to sell us a different brand than we requested and hardly wanted to show us the brand that interested us. In the end, we found better promotion and delivery prices elsewhere, but we'd still keep this place in mind.

I have shopped at Felton's my whole life and my parents did. I went in last November bought a…read moredishwasher and a refrigerator. not realizing these items were so new the didn't have parts for them yet. The refrigerator had a bad water leak. I'm very disappointed with the service I have gotten with the individuals answering the phone. They didn't seam to care if you didn't have a working refrigerator. The gentleman that came to look at the refrigerator was awesome All the guys that delivered installed and repaired are awesome. Because they didn't know when a new part would be made they replaced the refrigerate. Now the the compressor died. Felton's maintenance came told whirlpool the problem and determined there was freon leaking Also. Two weeks later an outside contractor for whirlpool came looked at it and said yep compressor is bad. Was going to leave and I told him to check for the leak which he wasn't going to do. I told him I didn't want him to come back to check it another day seeing he wasn't here. He detereined there was a leak and he fixed it. Then told me the compressor is on back order no idea when it will be available. Felton's give me a loaner refrigerator so I have two refrigerators in my kitchen dining area. To top it off the dishwasher I purchased the same day as refrigerator has also died control panel and the motor for discharging water died. The motor got fixed but control panel is on back order. I have two appliances that are under 6months old not working. My frustration is Felton's just say it's not our problem anymore call whirlpool I spent a lot of money on these two appliances and will take time to pay off. Thought they were different then other businesses but I guess I was wrong. Very sad and disappointed.

We chose carpet for our whole house based off her experience and thoughtfulness. Our WHOLE house... that we will live with for the foreseeable future. Let that sink in for moment. I don't know this person at all. Yet somehow she was able to teach me enough about "face Oz" of carpets and nylon vs poly to help guide me to a better choice than I ever could have made on my own. It wasn't just her either. People passing by would pause just long enough, if I made eye contact - with a smile - they would ask if I needed help. Some would just say hello. And that's perfect. I never felt pressured or harassed in anyway. The people here are an asset to this company. Even the self check out attendant was kind and helpful. Best part? The registers are by the entrance! So happy to have a more pleasant HD to visit than the terrible concrete tomb that is the Grafton location.

I shop at Home Depot quite a bit. I buy plenty of items in the store, and I also order online for…read morefree home delivery. It's hard to beat that convenience. Unfortunately, this most recent experience was disappointing. I ordered a laser level online, and it arrived the very next day. Great! But when I opened the package, it was obvious the box had already been opened. It appeared that I had received a returned item. The laser level powered on and worked right out of the box, but it had a unique defect. It can be powered by either standard batteries or a rechargeable battery pack. To switch between the two, you have to remove the battery cover. The problem was that the battery cover was completely stuck and would not come off, making it impossible to change battery types. I brought it back to the return counter and explained the issue to the employee. He tried removing the cover himself and couldn't get it off either. He then processed the return and placed a sticker on the box. I asked what the sticker indicated, and he said it identified the item as being returned because it was defective. I then asked whether there was any way to communicate the specific defect to the person who would inspect the return, since the unit otherwise appeared to work normally. He told me there wasn't. We both agreed that, because the defect wasn't immediately obvious, there was a good chance it could end up back on the shelf. Maybe the next customer won't need to switch to standard batteries and will never notice the problem. That possibility makes me a little hesitant to buy certain tools online. When I purchase something advertised as new, I expect it to be factory sealed and not someone else's return. Home Depot has a great system for ordering and returns, but I think this part of the process could use some improvement.

I had a problem with my refrigerator during a recent holiday weekend. A serviceman answered my…read morecall on the holiday, even though he was on vacation. The defrost cycle on my refrigerator malfunctioned and there was no cooling in the freezer or the refrigerator. The serviceman told me a step by step procedure to follow to get the unit back into service. The problem was solved and the refrigerator has worked properly since then. I called at a later date to thank them for the beneficial service provided on a holiday. The help I received was very much appreciated. Few people give that kind of service in the present society. If a problem arises in the future, they will be my first choice for appliance repair service.
