This dealership can't pay their bills as the bank will not release the title to a vehicle we paid in full. We have heard three different lies about why they can't produce a title for our vehicle. When pushed to come up with a dropdead date for our title, they refuse to give an answer. We said if they can't come up with an answer, we are going to turn them over to the state of Colorado motor vehicle division. Their office manager said fine whatever and hung up on us. The motor vehicle division informed us they have several fraudulent charges against them at this time. If I could give them a negative review I would. Watch out for the bait and switch also on your paperwork! They tried to Substitute paperwork for another vehicle instead. How do you sell vehicles that you don't even own? If you don't have the cash on a vehicle outright, you shouldn't sell it! Our temporary title runs out in a few days and they're still not trying to make it right with us! Now they're not returning our calls and the state has gained another case against them for fraud. Then they claim it's false review overnight. Where is the title? Did we not buy a pickup from Brighton? Did you not make the claim that your bank account had been hacked? That's why you can't get the title? Did you not claim that your title lady quit so you're behind? Did you not claim that you're selling so many vehicles that it takes you months to get the titles out? Your claim is one of a desperate man That lacks intelligence and ethics. The state is your problem now. The copy and pasted above review is from google. My review. Sold us a POS salvage title car, despite the fact that the owner is good friends with my family. We knew we shouldn't buy salvage title, but he persuaded us anyways and we desperately needed a car. Tried to get plates on the car, but berkenkotter couldn't provide us the title. Went to the DMV 3 separate times, still wouldn't provide us the title. The DMV literally told us they couldn't provide us anymore temp tags, because we tried so many times. Completely screwed us with the car we got, despite being a good family friend. Having two vehicles from berkenkotter we thought we would come to them for our family's long awaited RV purchase. We fell in love with a Lazy Days unit that had been on their lot for a long time. We thought it would be our ugly duckling. We arranged to come in to take it home and drove out to castle rock but Brent was busy when we arrived so we waited. While we were waiting, the RV we have spent weeks getting approval for loans and pulling together the 30% down payment for got sold out from under us. My disabled wife ended up heartbroken and in tears. It was a very misleading experience. No attempt was made to help us solve it afterward. There were signs. The other two vehicles we bought from them began falling apart immediately which I blamed on my son despite his protests that it was the way they were sold to him. I should have listened to my boy. Pay attention to the signs (you'll know what I mean when you enter the office). My advice? Walk out. read more

I bought a used Chevy cargo van from Berkenkotter Motors in November. I had found some vans online and drove into Denver area to test drive and buy, so I was basically buying a van in one day. The salesman, Wade, got all the paperwork and financing arranged quickly. I'm not mechanically inclined and I didn't have time to get my own inspection on the van. Unfortunately, about a week later, I realized that the parking/emergency brake was, well....not there. My local mechanic was able to put another one in, and my first thought was that there was no point in contacting the dealer because they had my money, so what do they care, right? But I decided to send a message anyway. Dan called me back the next day and discussed the repairs that were needed and the cost. He offered to send me a check to cover the cost of the repair and genuinely apologized for the mix-up.
