The bartender also wasn't tasting the drinks which I usually see to ensure it was made correctly. This one had curry in it as a listed ingredient and it was just way too strong a flavor. It was a rum drink with some mezcal but it just tastes like mezcal and curry powder. The place was pretty busy but people were coming and going frequently. There's only one bathroom which really isn't enough for a bar. Seems like there's potential here but I didn't like the menu offerings and the sanitary concerns leave me with no desire to come back here.

Unlike many restaurants that offer a very limited menu during restaurant week, Circe had quite a few appetizers, entrees, and desserts to choose from, and all of the items sounded delicious! While these were good, even better was the burrata. The creamy burrata was beautifully plated over a colorful pepperonta bursting with color, sweetness, freshness from the basil, and just enough acidity. The braised short rib was fall apart tender, and served over creamy parmesan risotto, which was perhaps a bit overcooked as the texture was akin to mashed potatoes. Overall, it was a really rich, enjoyable dish, though the seasoning was a little underwhelming for me. A nice demi glace drizzle would have been a perfect addition. For dessert, the NY-style cheesecake was just the right sized single person serving. It was a pretty classic version, aside from the dolce de leche / apple topping! Yum!
