    Watery chili

When are restaurants going to realize that sometimes people just don't want to eat meat? Other than salad, there were no vegetarian options on the menu. I decided to order the $16 Mediterranean quesadilla without the chicken and asked that it have extra of the vegetables that were in it. You're mostly paying for the meat, so when you order without it, you would think they would fill it with the veggies, nope! It was the thinnest quesadilla I have ever had, definitely not worth $16. The other people in my party were equally disappointed with their food. They got the boneless buffalo wings, which I was told were flavorless. The chili was very watery and didn't come with chips, the Italian chicken dish was just ok, and the burger was nothing to write home about. It's just getting harder and harder to find a place that I feel is worth spending your money on. I will say the vibe was pretty cool with old music videos playing on the tv and musical instruments and memorabilia on the walls. Where we were seated was a little awkward by the computer and for much of the meal there was a server or runner, not sure what her role was because she was just standing behind us as we ate. You just don't feel like you could talk. Our waitress was friendly, but I don't like when servers don't write down your order. On top of that she asked if we needed anything else, any sauces and my son asked for BBQ sauce. We didn't realize until the bill came that he was charged $2.00 for it! Really!? As if the food wasn't expensive enough, you have to charge for sauces. And if that is the case, you should let people know. Seems shady to me to sneak little things on the bill. The place wasn't too busy for a Friday night. If they want more traffic, they're gonna have to do better. Small little changes could make this place much better. Make sure there aren't dog poop bags by the entrance for one. That was not something you want to see before going somewhere to eat.

Tried this restaurant again, and we ordered the steak. The grain was awful, and my teeth were not sharp enough to break it down. The draft IPA beer is over-priced and unfortunately the food is sub par. I just don't see myself visiting again.

It was frigid outside so maybe that helped - because I remember it always feeling so crowded and loud but this time there weren't too many people. Got the It's Greek to Me burger. I never finish my meals - so I made the choice to remove the top bun and eat it with a fork and knife and devoured it. There were fries leftover, but my mom helped finish those. Really delicious burger - hearty portion but the toppings made it feel light and fresh. Zoe was our server. She was friendly and seemed engaged with her tables. I'd go back and try some more menu items if it was similar to last Saturday.

(Beer and high noon) Husband got a burger which was just "good" not the best but not the worst. His words. His fries were nice and crispy. Could have given us more than the little side of ketchup. Just leave the bottle. I got a fried chicken sandwich. It was almost burnt on one side and the majority of my fries were small end bits. Wasn't a fan of the corn chow chow relish they put on it and it Could have used more sauce. Probably won't come here again, but It wasn't bad considering we didn't have much time to find a place to grab a bite before the show.

Not the kind of place I really want to sit in and enjoy a cocktail. Dungeon like. The music is loud hip hop, not something I mind, but worth noting if thats not for you. I sat at the bar, and honestly didn't feel like it was super clean. I don't think the counter had been wiped down for a while. Staff were doing their best but seemed overwhelmed on a Saturday night. I was watching them make the cocktails and did not feel like it was very sanitary. They've got one small sink they're rinsing everything in, they were chucking stuff, literally chucking and slamming metal. They were dumping out people's drinks into the same side of the sink and then rinsing in the other side. But stuff was splashing into what should be the clean side. It's not a good setup for a cocktail bar. The cocktail menu had 8 drinks on it, 2 they were out of. Nothing had whiskey in it. I got a drink called Darjeeling something. Really didn't like it, didn't taste balanced and it looked different than someone else's who ordered the same thing, not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient. The bartender also wasn't tasting the drinks which I usually see to ensure it was made correctly. This one had curry in it as a listed ingredient and it was just way too strong a flavor. It was a rum drink with some mezcal but it just tastes like mezcal and curry powder. The place was pretty busy but people were coming and going frequently. There's only one bathroom which really isn't enough for a bar. Seems like there's potential here but I didn't like the menu offerings and the sanitary concerns leave me with no desire to come back here.

Circe was…read moreparticipating in Providence's restaurant week event, so we opted for the 3-course prix fixe menu. Unlike many restaurants that offer a very limited menu during restaurant week, Circe had quite a few appetizers, entrees, and desserts to choose from, and all of the items sounded delicious! To start, who doesn't like deviled eggs?...and Circe's version was elevated as each was placed on a beet slaw resembling a little nest and topped with bacon. While these were good, even better was the burrata. The creamy burrata was beautifully plated over a colorful pepperonta bursting with color, sweetness, freshness from the basil, and just enough acidity. The braised short rib was fall apart tender, and served over creamy parmesan risotto, which was perhaps a bit overcooked as the texture was akin to mashed potatoes. Overall, it was a really rich, enjoyable dish, though the seasoning was a little underwhelming for me. A nice demi glace drizzle would have been a perfect addition. For dessert, the NY-style cheesecake was just the right sized single person serving. It was a pretty classic version, aside from the dolce de leche / apple topping! Yum! Despite ordering three courses, the kitchen staff and service made sure to time our dinner just right so we could finish and get to our concert on time!

One of the most underrated restaurants in Providence for brunch!…read more I started with the all-you-can-drink mimosas for $30 (minus the OJ - a personal preference & they were most accommodating!). Circe pours the lovely Villa Marcello Prosecco-Treviso DOC as their house bubbly. To start, we shared a Caesar Salad: romaine & kale, soft-boiled egg, croutons, white anchovies, aged parmesan. I enjoyed the hardiness of the kale in addition to the romaine & the ooziness of the egg elevated this salad to the next level. I asked for extra white anchovies as I could eat them by themselves as an appetizer! Our main course was the Carlo's Way: free-range fried eggs, grilled bread, applewood smoked bacon, sautéed spinach, roasted potatoes. Beautiful & hearty. I would have loved a little more color & crunch on the potatoes. We couldn't decide on one so we ordered both the chocolate gelato & lemon sorbet. I am also a big fan of their Affogato: vanilla gelato, espresso coffee, shaved chocolate. The perfect brunch meal plus a good champagne buzz!

We walked in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. I love the interior of the space. The pizza oven built of pizza stones is an eyecatcher but if you look around, you'll catch all kinds of fun decor choices throughout the space Our bartender was a gem. She was busy working on side work but she always kept an ear towards us so when we were ready, so was she. A sign of a real professional. We ordered some margaritas, the calamari and a small Powerslide pizza. Before long, she was setting everything down in front of us and we dug right in I was able to sample this pizza before at our National Pizza Day event last month so I was eager to snag a slice the moment it appeared before us. Sausage, caramelized onions, garlic and goat cheese. Yes, please. The combination of toppings with their dough as a base, with the bit of char from the wood fired oven? Divine. The calamari was excellent as well, fried perfectly (and if you know anything about me, I'm a bit particular about seafood). The peppers and olives were classic, well-prepared additions to the dish. And with the drizzle of balsamic, provided the extra acidity that I love on my seafood. And WHEN (not if) you swing by, if you drink make sure you order a cocktail. I've had an espresso martini before and now this time a margarita and every time they knock it out of the park! Loads of flavor options as well so you will find something you love, guaranteed. Summer is coming, so head down to the beach now before it gets too crazy and get one of the best pizzas in South County!
