I have been living here since 2023 and overall really like this complex. Maintenance is very solid and comes quickly. Visitor parking is easy and LOVE that there is no sign in BS to do like some apartment complexes have. I feel fairly safe living in this complex and have had no incidences or issues in regards to safety. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves which is nice. The only con is that packages are not able to be delivered after the office closes which is kind of annoying for people like myself who order packages a lot. We just moved in and have had such a great experience so far! We love the apartment, the size, the finish, the amenities, location and the community, but most of all... we love the team! It began a few weeks ago when we phoned to see if they had a unit that met our criteria. Daniel answered and had such a great attitude and demeanor. He helped us find a unit that was exactly what we were searching for. It was the end of the afternoon, but they made time immediately to let us see the apartment and... we applied the same day! Moving in has been a breeze. William and Tano were our main contacts for moving in and they were endlessly patient and professional no matter how many questions we asked. The team was flexible, responsive, and understood our needs and met them without complaint - really, I couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much, guys! Moving in, there were a few minor issues that I pointed out to Daniel who understood everything and immediately said they would fix them. Really, the property management has been AMAZING so far. I highly recommend the Berkshire Auburn Apartments. Honestly, It has been the best moving experience I have ever had. I toured with Chantal and she made the apartment search incredibly easy. She was extremely responsive to any questions I had through email and by phone. She was also very accommodating with my income verification and when I had issues with my renters insurance on the day of move in, I am so thankful to have her as my leasing agent! Another shoutout to Micheal too for helping with the process as well. The apartment itself was so clean upon opening the doors and the amenities are so new compared to other apartments in the area. Maintenance requests are done so quickly, I was very impressed. I only wanted them to remove my shower head so I could install my own, but Armando went out of his way to find the box in my cabinet and install it for me! Do not expect this to be a Luxury experience. I lived here for at least 2 years. The hallways were always super hot, ridiculously around summer time. Expect your bills to be high! The balance of those hallways into your apartment doesn't even out. Our AC was always broken, too. Management took hours to days to respond. They had also come in at some point in our lease and left our apartment with holes for weeks. They even had the noisiest machines to "fix" ceiling drywall damage due to poor roof drainage. The machines were literally like air pumps and left them there for a week, ON. And that never fixed absolutely nothing but made our electricity bill high for that month. Anyway, their build to their apartment cabinets and paints are also very cheap materials and poor quality paint. We had decor on the walls and usually a pricey apartment should have great promising paint or at least a well stain proof paint, but no. Most of the decor easily ripped the paint off. And their fix to their cheap paint? "That's $60 bucks for painting and replacement!" Ah, what? So you charge $60 for what? A good paint costs $60. Rip proof, stain proof...and their paint was not that at all. It's the cheapest stuff you find for cheap Office Building's spaces. 5 Gallons of that costs $50 in Liquidation stores and they are here charging $60 for the repairs? Nice. "Such Quality" They also have "Staff" that run around cleaning but not once did I ever see them do that. There was MONTHS of dog feces in the hallways, too. That "staff" never vacuum nor cleaned. Even in the stairways. Disgusting. Unsanitary. There was also constant abusers of CBD/cannabis and ect. Smokers. Loud, stinking up the hallways and even our apartment. Gave me a headache constantly. Seriously smelled like a skunk sprayed everywhere. Main Management was also very rude, thought she can blab out her opinions about business of others constantly. Not professional at all. We were already in the last month of moving out so we had boxes with a few stuff in the living room. She goes on and on about a fire hazards and how she feels "bad energy" everywhere. Nobody asked her about her religious views or spiritualism, but there she went. Childish. I'm 24 and she was way over 40, imagine? My car had also gotten broken into. Awful security. And they did NOTHING to make the situation better. No report. I tried to even see if they had surveillance but nothing. So expensive and no surveillance? Nice. Glad we are not there no more. Save your good money and find a more promising living space. You don't want to deal with any of this. So much more I've left out. read more

I DO NOT recommend living at this property. After two years, I can provide a pragmatic review: First, if your safety and belongings are important to you, do your research. I witnessed an intruder cutting the gate chain to forcefully enter the parking garage. I reported it to police and management, and yet two weeks later I had my wheels stolen and my car on blocks - this is a COMMON crime in the parking garage along with countless break-ins, windows broken, etc. I encourage you to review the Dallas police open records for yourself at dallasopendata.com and search the property address to see how crime-prone this property is. Secondly, the property has become absolutely disgusting. Animal feces and trash in the elevators, main hallways, and common areas. If you tour the property, simply look at the repugnant, foul odored and stained carpet. During my 2 years at the property, we had SEVERAL serious and unpredictable infrastructure damages. My apartment had SEVERE water damage from above and it took over 3 weeks to replace the sheetrock and repair. Door handles are missing around the property and there are obvious crowbar marks left behind from people breaking in. I could continue to share anecdotes and examples but do your research. I've just moved in here, so my review is mostly based on the application/leasing process and first impressions. Application was a breeze, I looked at 4 other complexes and had awful experiences before coming here. Front office staff here was professional, friendly and gave a great tour. Previous complex I lived in was an older, rundown complex so I'm really grateful for the modernity here- garden tub, modern appliances, carpeted/indoor hallways, elevator, valet trash service, etc. No trouble with finding a spot in the parking garage, and appreciate the security here (fob needed for parking garage/doors into the building)- I feel much safer here than I did at my last complex. Also, only been here a few days but I don't hear ANYTHING from my neighbors. I came from a place with the thinnest walls and could constantly hear my neighbors blasting music or cleaning or even just walking around- in contrast, it's been so quiet here inside my unit, which is a huge plus. Will update this review once I've been here a while but for now I'm definitely pleased with my experience. read more

At this point, I've lived in this complex for a couple of months and overall I believe it to be a great place to live. When I first moved in, I had a terrible experience with our water having a foul smell and it took a lot to get someone to come up here to fix it so we could shower. Since then, it has been great and any maintenance needs we have have been addressed. They have a pretty nice two story gym, a parking garage that rarely gets full (I always get to park on my floor), guest parking, and a code guests can call to get into the building. The biggest flaws for me are after I buzz someone in, I still have to go get them from the garage because you can't get in without a key fob. Another flaw is the common areas close when the office does. So don't expect to use the beautiful spaces frequently, on holidays or anything like that. The staff are pretty friendly and the complex has gone out their way twice to do events for the building. One was a holiday dinner (ham, turkey, gravy, dressing, potatoes, wine) and most recently an omelet bar + mimosas with the popular chef, Kenneth Temple. The reviews are reaally iffy, and I was skeptical about moving in because of them.. However, so far so good. read more

I am back to update my review. I've been a resident here since 2018. I haven't had no issues, even after two units. You have your ups & downs with properties, as people have to be mindful how many people really live on the property, the types of residents, pets, etc. Things can happen that we can or can not control. Overall, I love the staff. Amanda is so kind & has been very helpful to the things I need & has great customer service. Everyone is friendly, even the property staff who keeps things clean & in order. I have no complaints & love it here. Specially the pool & gym. This team is really incredible. Monday- I was leaving my apartment and a front office staff member saw me and said "Hey, you have some packages at the office". I immediately went down and he quickly assisted me, remembering the apartment number & everything. Today (Wednesday) I put in a maintenance request at 8am this morning and by 2:30pm, Armando was at my apartment fixing my requests. He was so kind, informative on what he fixed and was sweet towards my animals. I have been at other apartments where fixing things was a bother/hassle, but Armando made sure to let me know if I ever need anything else fixed he is happy to help us! read more

I have been a tenant at Bershire Auburn for 3 years. I was one of the original renters... Luxery apartment complex? They certainly did not live up to that. From dead crickets throughout the hallways, stains that have never been cleaned on carpets and concrete over that three year period. In addition to that, after repeated requests to have my balcony door re leveled, which resulted in water pooling when it rains and seeping into my living room. It was never taken care of and during the big storm I had to pay my insurance deductible to take care of the damages which I was never reimbursed for. There have been several robberies on the premises that have resulted in bathrooms by the gym being locked after business hours which is extremely inconvenient for residents having to walk back to their own apartments to use the commode if needed. Trash is consistently piling up at the shoots and smells on hot days. Lastly and most importantly, I moved out of my extremely well kept and cleaned apartment in July/2019. And the same people who allow crickets in the hallways, broken machines to sit for months, trash shoots to stink because they aren't emptied frequently enough, mail that is constantly left out and stolen, security doors that get broken and rigged to allow anyone to access this facility that doesn't have a fob... I was charged: for not having a spotless bathtub, two small cracks in the fridge shelves replaced, a cabinet replaced from an oil stain and carpet cleaning. Mind you, I am an extremely clean individual that has lived here for THREE YEARS. I was told by the manger she was "not knit picking me... she could have charged me for 5 other things..." really? After three years I never had carpet cleaning offered but I was charged for it at move out? Overall I would say this apartment complex is a "want to be" that charges has Luxery pricing but doesn't have the funds from the management company to run it like one. read more

We lived here because it was a convenient commute to my husband's office however the place is poorly maintained and on move out they find every little detail to subtract from your security deposit. There is no strict policy for people to clean up after their pets and the hallway and stairway usually has dog poop. You have to constantly watch where you are going to ensure that you are not stepping into dog mess. The trash chute is always messy and smells horrible. Also when you put out your trash can for valet trash, people pass and add trash to your garbage. If the garbage has already been collected they would just throw it in the garbage bin (which has no bag since your trash just got taken up) The maintenance guy is a joker! Doesn't know how to fix anything. He comes in and just does a visual scan and would say everything is ok. You have to push the leasing team to get proper maintenance done. There is no proper security on the property either. Lots of vandalism and quite a few car break-ins in the garage as well. The gym has a fridge for water that is always empty and the business center has no printer. The leasing team would tell you to send them an email with the document you want printed. There is no respect for personal privacy for business matters yet they like to boast about having a "business center" When we moved out we paid for professional cleaning to be done (and also used a cleaner during our time there) but they charged up for a ring mark on the shelves! Seriously!!! Do they expect the apt to look like it was never used? The leasing staff also has high turnover which is a signal about the poor management of this property. I don't even bother learning their names anymore cause they will probably be gone in 6 months. Once we were looking to move into a bigger apt and the leasing staff didn't bother to give us a tour. She handed us a piece of paper with apt #s and gave us keys to tour ourselves. I would steer clear of this property and other Berkshire properties. I know of others will similar bad experiences with this management company. So glad my lease is finished and I don't live at this horrible place anymore. read more

There was a shortage in my bathroom light which caused both my bathroom and hallway light to go out. I went to the breaker and tried to do things myself but it turned out I needed some help. I put in my work order the next morning and luckily Armando was here to help fix things right away before the day was over. It was a quick fix for him and he even fixed my tub spout that had been sticking out of its socket for months. So thanks Armando for being on top of things, being professional with a great sense of humor. read more

Staff is unprofessional, services are terribly cheap, a lot of robbery, and moving is a pain because the trucks can't get inside the parking garage. If your apartment is not facing the street, then your mover will carry the furniture all the way to the back walking. Add up at least 2+ hours on the moving fee. read more

They also towed my car even though I'm a resident and had my brother in laws car. They never sent an email stating please get a temporary tag! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! This apartment complex is terrible in every way possible. From awful leasing staff to car burglaries to dog poop in the hallways. There were at least 15 different occasions where cars were burglarized in the time I lived there. The last month I lived there there was a major car break in where about 14 cars had there windows broken. Many resident complained for staff to install cameras in the garage, yet they refused because they are so cheap. It's very concerning that they don't put the safety of their residents first. The staff at this complex are incompetent and extremely rude, they can never seem to find a resolution for any problem at hand. Any time there was an issue, they failed to reply in a timely manner or resolve the issue. I even had to make an appointment to visit the regional office in Dallas because the complex is so poorly run. I've never lived at a complex with such rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful staff. Upon move out, I was charged $900 for things that were not there. I have videos of the perfectly cleaned apartment which I provided to them and now they won't reply back and are still expecting me to pay. They charge you for problems that weren't even there. If you currently live there take videos of your apartment before move out because they will try to rip you off! I would not recommended anyone living here. Absolute nightmare. Clearly after reading other reviews I know I'm not the only one who hates this apartment complex. read more

WORST apartment experience ever! My previous roach infested apartment didn't have a fraction of the problems I've had at berkshire auburn. Leasing staff is inadequate to say the least, they need to learn how to speak to people professionally. Halls smell like sewer, it took them a week after I moved in to fix all the problems I had (door didn't lock, no hot water were my main concern) poonam made my maintenance request seem unimportant and normal. A whole year later I've done a minimum of 14 Srvc requests in less than 12 months. 2 months ago the manager was supposed to replace my refrigerator after my 5th or so request if it giving out on me,I have yet to hear from him. They were aware that my shower door was leaking due to cheap material and poor construction, and got upset when the city had to come and check it out as there was mold already growing on the wood trimming outside the shower door, not to mention they used my own personal towel to clean the moldy water on my restroom floor, DISGUSTING AND OVERLY PETTY to say the least. It also took them over 8 months to replace the water filter between the restroom near the pool, the thing was red nearly all year. save yourself money and a headache and move elsewhere. read more

This Apartment sucks. The previous staff has the worst attitude, but I think they may have hired new staff again. The worse was the lady manager who came after the male manager left and the staff. There is dog droppings in the halls, puddles in the garage near the door, and yes, the constant smell of smoke in the halls. My apartment was broken into and the lock area the door drilled. I tried contacting the emergency number, no one picked up or returned my call. The phone kept ringing. I called the police and they confirmed the break-in. When I contacted the Lindsey one of the apartment staff, they had nerve to tell me my door was just stuck although there had been several break-ins and someone had drilled into my door! I pleaded to send someone and after almost a week I had to catch the manager in the hall. This had happened to several Apartments apparently and there was no warning or updates to the older locks. read more

Great location to live! Right off Dallas Tollway and Arapaho and near plenty of restaurants/bars in Addison. Also right across the street from Walmart which is a huge plus! They have beautiful design layouts and LOVE the amenities such as the 24 hour business center and 2 story gym! It has a huge tv screen that offers free cycling classes with towel service and free bottled waters. The Gym is a huge plus alone and not to mention the nice pool and cabana they offer to residents. I was going to rent a house but after seeing all the layouts and add ons they offer, I decided to rent here. They offer great move in specials too however beware of the one month free special. They split it into two months, which is not bad however, I thought I would literally have the first month free. When I went to pick up the keys I had to pay an unexpected cost upfront and no one likes surprises right? It wasn't a big deal but just an unexpected cost that hit me. Other than that the staff is great. Very nice and friendly. Ask for Phylecia, she's great and will work with you to make sure your move-in and stay is as comfortable as possible. read more

I came into the Berkshire Auburn in search of a 1 bedroom apartment and I was greeted by Zeth. I loved his personality, he's super transparent, he was able to give the pros and cons of the unit as well as sat down with me to figure out my commute time to and from work and even shared which option was the most economical route. He has amazing customer service and made me feel very comfortable. He went above and beyond to find a unit in my price range. This property has way better amenities than the next door unit. The Gym alone was a huge selling point with two floors and cycling. read more

Absolutely the worst year in my life living in this broken place. It all started when they had me moved while there was still construction going on, which resulted in a construction car hitting my car!! After months of ignorance eventually they blew me off, told me it's not their responsibility and I should use my own insurance!! Then business room, which was promised to be 24 hours, turned in to 9-5, cause somebody stole the computers, TWICE! Security level is at the lowest I have ever witnessed in my life, garbage is stacking and horrible smell over the weekend. To top it all they have a security officer on site aka a joke, think he owns the building and think he can go around and tell residents how to live their life smh. The actual unit is nice but Wallis are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors talk on the phone.. that bad.. if you really care for your money, STAY away from this awful community. I just moved here a month ago I already got a warning that I had two complaints being too loud From the office. Today was my first day having my baby over and they complained about him walking. The office said that they will give me a violation. My question is how thin is your plywood on the floor if it was thick enough you couldn't hear any noises. So maybe if your sheet of plywood wasn't so thin and cheap with the amount of pricy rent im paying it wouldn't be a problem! I'm very quiet because I work all the time so I'm not sure where all these complaints are coming from is very irritating because I am very quiet I have until my kids when they visit me to be quiet! I will never rent here again nor give them a good reference to anyone I know. I've lived here for 7 months and happened to google the complex and was shocked to see it has a 2.5 star rating!! This place is great, staff is so nice and helpful, reasonably priced, clean. It's hard for me to think of anything bad about this place. I've heard of three times of people's cars being broken into but that's the risk you run by owning a car in dallas. The complex does what it can- gated garages and communicates when there are reported break ins and reminds us to lock our cars and not to leave valuables inside them. The inside of the building is very safe, requires you to use your fob for all the doors and there are double deadbolts on your individual unit. The only thing I think they could change is to have the business center open 24/7 but that's only because I'm studying for a major test right now, so other than that the limited hours would literally not affect me. read more

I lived here for 2+ years and I would strongly discourage anyone from moving into this building. For the price you pay to live here, it is not worth it. When I moved in, my refrigerator was broken and my groceries went bad. All the leasing office did was pull a fridge (that was unclean and damaged all over the outside) from another unit and never offered to replace my groceries or clean the fridge. The carpeted hallways are stained, always dirty and smell. Doors / gates etc are regularly broken and not maintained. Trash piles up in the parking garage. The grounds are covered in trash and dog poop - frequently not cleaned up. But the leasing office will fine you for having a broom on your porch. And the leasing staff can chain smoke on the top of the parking garage leaving cigarette butts everywhere. The walls are thin and you can hear all of your neighbor's conversations/TV/music. Traffic noise is extremely loud too. The parking garage is a nightmare and you can't see around the corners, yet people regularly speed through. Tow truck drivers wait around nearby to tow your guests the second they park in the wrong spot. There are no cameras either so you're SOL when you get a flat tire or your car is broken into. The leasing staff are some of the rudest I've ever encountered. Zero empathy, zero professionalism. I've had a couple instances of them trying to enter my apartment without cause or permission, and if you complain, they childishly go out of their way to inconvenience you. Lastly, the fire alarms in the building did not go off when the unit across from me was on fire recently(which the leasing office offered zero explanation for). My neighbor called them to let them know our building was on fire and the leasing staff LAUGHED at him even though our halls were filling with smoke. Had it not been for this neighbor alerting us to the fire by running through the halls and banging on our doors, we wouldn't have known to evacuate. This place is truly awful and I have zero good things to say about it. I am grateful I no longer live here. read more
