At one point, I asked Brad about a car he had just purchased. He said he needed to check it out first because he needed to identify what was wrong with it. I called back and eventually he said there was something wrong with the car that he couldn't identify therefore he wouldn't sell it to me. We then found something better! We've been back for service and I totally trust that if something needs fixing, they will fix only that thing and charge me fairly. Brad just showed me an issue the BMW dealer suggested I get fixed and explained the concern. I drive 120+ miles round trip in my daily commute. This type of peace of mind is priceless. I recommend New England Auto Sales without reservation.

This place will repair your car and will repair it at a fair price. You don't need to worry about…read moregetting ripped off. That is as much as I can say for a compliment. Customer service in my opinion is not good at all. This is just my personal experience, just the basic thing like remembering your phone number they don't do that right. They write your phone number on a piece of paper in front of them and never remember to call you. I had to give them my phone number every time I go there. I got my car repaired there 2/23/2011 and I had to call to find out the status of my car, no one bothered calling to let me know it was done or even call me to let me know what the repairs will be. They did extra repairs without my knowledge, I am glad they did what they did, but they should have at least called me. Also, my car needs another part, I asked the person there to look the price for me and call me to let me know (on 2/23/2011), you guessed it, no one called. I went there yesterday 3/16/2011, in person, to ask the same lazy guy there to call to get the pricing for me. He took my name and number on a piece of paper and said yeah definitely he would call, I was 99% sure he wasn't going to to do it, and hence, the motivation to write this review. I didn't even step out of the door, he immediately return to a conversation with his buddy in there, in a way of him showing me I was annoying him. I didn't think an auto repair place that you have given them plenty of business in the past will get annoyed at you potentially given them more business. Well, that is my view. I did not get a call (I waited all day till close of business) and that means they don't care. I prefer a place with better service, and at minimum, will take your phone number only one time and will remember to call. There are plenty of auto repair shops out there that have better service with better people. I would NOT return back to this place and give them any business. If you value good service like I do then this may not be the place for you. This has been my unique experience with this place, if others have better, great, but I did not. The lazy person they have in there working for them just cost them a customer, if they don't care about that then they should not be in business. Thanks to Yelp, you can easily search for a place with a good reputation. I've noted this and would save completely unnecessary headaches by going to places that are not very good.

That is no longer the case as I recently discovered. Yesterday (Feb, 2024) at Star Auto it cost me $39.99 for a regular oil change. Today (July, 2024) I went to Pep Boys and it cost $35.99. Tomorrow if you go to Star Auto expect to pay $82 plus taxes and fees per a sign posted in their service department. Yesterday (Sept, 2023) the cost of tire rotation at Star Auto was $19. Today I had my tires rotated at Star Auto at a cost of $32.55. Tomorrow I will be heading to Pep Boys where there is no charge. Yesterday (Sept 2023) my wife had a synthetic oil change at Star Auto for $89.95. Today (July, 2024) my wife had a synthetic oil change for $78.68 including taxes at Pep Boys. Tomorrow if you go for a synthetic oil change at Star Auto expect to pay $115 plus taxes per a sign posted in the service department.

Had a horrible experience at Skytop. We needed work done on our car. The transmission went out on…read moreus. It hesitated when the light turned green then wouldn't shift. We managed to limp the car home. Having been to Skytop a number of years back and happy with the service and pricing I decided to go back there even having been told by others not to and that they're very shady over there. I should have listened. We get home and I schedule an appointment for their earliest time slot which was about 5 days away. I explain what the issue was to the girl on the phone and she said basically no problem and would I need a tow? I thought I would so I said yes. Asked about the price and she gave me a tow price of $150 for only a couple miles town in town. We decided against it the day of the schedule. We get the car there. Drop it off and talk to another girl. Maybe the same one? She takes some more info and I talk about the tranny again. She takes down some notes. I then ask if they can take a look at the tire. One tire has a slow leak. She said well we can look at it but they don't do tire repair and to take it to another shop. Um... what? So whatever. We leave and she advised if they don't get to it today it will be the first one tomorrow morning. Ok fine. The next morning I receive a text message with a laughable inspection report. Regarding the transmission... "Possible transmission work needed - Take to a transmission shop." So naturally I call and question this. The girl on the phone said she can't help and quickly transferred me to the service department where another girl answered. I asked her to explain and she advised that their transmission guy left about a year ago and they no longer work on transmissions. UM SO WHY DID YOU TAKE THE CAR AND WASTE MY TIME?! Obviously at this point I'm prepping to go get the car and take it somewhere else. In the process of making those plans I get a text message from someone blaming me and telling me I was told on the initial call that they couldn't promise they could work on it but that they may have someone that could do the job.... yeah no thank you. Something's not quite right and since I was told they don't do transmission work I can't trust this. Who's this person that they may or may not know that may or may not be available for service? How is that anyway to treat a customer???? Naturally at this point I'm frustrated. So I declined and went and picked up the car. Never again with Skytop! I wouldn't have my lawnmower serviced there.

Andrei is fair, his prices are fair, and most importantly, he is an honest car salesman and mechanic. He is the owner and works on the cars himself and does a stand up job. The care I bought is immaculate inside and out, just beautiful. And there was no haggling with prices, I didn't even need to haggle, he gave me a more than fair price right from the start. He put zero pressure on me, which was great. He even let me take the car to an independent mechanic to give it an inspection before I bought it, he said sure thing, not a problem at all, where most car salesman would be hesitant. His shop and office are spotless, and you feel comfortable just upon walking in the door. Andrei is a stand up honest business man, and I will certainly do business with him again in the future and recommend him to family and friends.
