    Gyros and feta fries!

Great gyros and amazing fries! We finally found a Greek restaurant that has good fries and very good seasoned gyros.

This place is amazing. The portions were awesome and the price was great. They are reasonable when it comes to the price and the quality of food was just awesome. My girlfriend and I both agree the combo gyro was the best gyro we've ever had, ever. The service was great! We ate outside and Monique was so nice and kind taking our order. The ambiance inside is very nice, we at outside and we're happy with it. Overall, a great place, and extremely tasty. Would highly recommend it. Thank you Greek City Cafe! Their Greek salad was good too! Really refreshing.

Gyro Pita with a side of Feta Fries

Fun lunch spot in Largo if you are craving a gyro. The place is very clean with friendly service. I had the pick two, which is a great way to sample the menu. There is also an option to pick 3, but I was not that hungry. I chose the half Greek salad which was fresh and delicious. My second choice was a half of spanakopita. It was just okay. A bit soggy and not a lot flavor. Hubby had the Gyro pita with a side of feta fries. He really enjoyed his pita and we both raved about the feta fries. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Greek salad plate at home (added anchovies)

First time we tried Greek City Cafe but was looking forward based on the reviews. Today we did take out. My guy ordered his go-to gyro and loved it. The gyro meat was tasty but not salty. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful as was the meat. French fries were good even when reheated in the skillet. My Greek salad looked wonderful with iceberg and spring greens as well as chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese and the Florida Greek salad staple, potato salad. Sadly the lettuce was past it's prime; wilted and soggy. The dressing was watery and tasteless. I'm certain if it was fresh it would have been delicious too. I took two pictures of the salad. The one in the bowl is shown with anchovies from home. The second in the to-go box after I had plated my salad. If only it had been fresh, this review would be five stars. The pita and tzatziki were good too. The four star rating is based on the type of establishment where you order your food at the counter. The four stars are warranted based on other places with the same concept.

Review Online ( https://youtu.be/abEZyG1TeFM ) Not bad for Greek food. Service: Was quick Price: Decent - 25 dollars for three items - but portions were amazing Ordered: Gyro Feta Fries Chicken Salad Believe it or not the feta fries were the worse things we ordered. Too salty. The great thing about it is a free drink with the fries. Worth a try? Sure why not? Maybe our tase buds were off that day. Gyro: Huge portion. I was full before I could finish it. Lots of flavor. Chicken Salad: The chicken was absolutely delicious. Grilled well, taste was lemony but delicious. Portion was perfect.

    Gyro Pita

If you're looking for an amazing gyro, you have to go here! It is BY FAR the best gyro I have ever had. Great family restaurant.

We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

We sat outside on the water and it was a little cool but a light jacket made it comfortable. It was a beautiful day! We started with Turkish Coffee, which was delicious! We have no idea how to "read the coffee grounds" HAHA but I can tell you mine looked like a duck and a crooked United States, if that helps anyones premonitions, LOL. We ordered the babaganouj appetizer, which was DELICIOUS!! It comes with pita, but for me, being gluten intolerant I asked for some vegetable. Waiter offered cucumber, but he only gave me 3 tiny pieces....so sad. Whatever, I wasnt going to let it go to waste so I just ate it with a fork. However I would suggest offering a proper portion of sliced cucumbers for your Gluten Free patrons, as a courtesy. I ordered the gluten free Falafel Salad and my son ordered the Yogurt Kebab. Both were very enjoyable! My falafels were moist on the inside with a crisp outer shell, my only suggestion would be to add a little Feta to the salad, wouldve been more interesting than pkind of plain and redundant--especially for just under $20. My son enjoyed his dish, even using the pita to scoop it up. We were so full and brought more than half home. The waiter was very kind and was generous to offer us a complimentary piece of Baklava (we had waited a bit for our food but it wasnt really a big deal--we were enjoying ourselves). Parking is a bit of a challenge because Columbia Rest and Backwaters has Valet that sort of capitalize the parking area-so plan ahead for that. We went at 2pm so it wasnt too difficult but I would guess dinner might be a challenge unless you use their Valet services--but Im only guessing. The restaurant is cute inside, and I saw they had a wine cooler. I think we'll go again and order a bunch of different appetizers and try some Turkish wine. I highly recommend trying Mio's!

This place gives Garden Mediterranean a run for their Kibbeh OuiOui…read more I still LOVE Garden Mediterranean but they changed their menu, made the dishes smaller & priced everything super expensive. $10 for hummus? LOL. No. So I went hunting for another place, and I found East Bistro! I was driving over to Sprouts in Largo & saw it as I passed it! I made a quick U-turn & right into the parking lot I went... Right away I spot their tandoori clay oven right in the back & they have two shawarma spits right up front that smell so delicious OMG! :)... So I get some of the beef shawarma on top of the hummus... I have not had it like this before but WOZA! That is some good stuff baby! I ate almost all of it by myself. LOL I also got the Chicken kabobs. They were cooked perfectly. Nicely charred on the outside & tender & juicy on the inside, seasoned perfectly. Can not wait to order both of these dishes again OuiOui. The super surprising thing is that you get two sides with your 2 kabob platter plus rice & salad. I got the tabouli & hummus. It also comes with fresh made pita that they also make in house, which is fabulous OuiOui. But their tabouli. WOZA! Their tabouli is the best I have ever had. They make theirs with, I'm guessing, white vinegar? It's super tangy & very fresh tasting. Very pungent. Magnificent OuiOui. When I took some home for Sir Hubbers, I didn't say anything & all of a sudden he started raving about the Tabouli also. LOL Their dine in is super cute, but very small, it's mostly a take out place, everything on paper plates for dine in, which was fine. Everything is reasonably priced, entrees under $19! They bake all their own breads, make everything from scratch. And the tabouli, is a MUST ORDER OuiOui. Added to my lists of fave restaurants in the Tampa/St Pete area OuiOui. Let me start by saying that the food itself is actually good. The flavors are solid and you can tell the recipes are authentic Mediterranean dishes. If this review were based purely on the food, it would probably be decent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is not just about what ends up on the plate it's about service, value, and how customers are treated. That's where this place completely falls apart. First off, the service was extremely inattentive. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. The waitresses seemed disinterested, barely checked on the table, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu or request anything simple, the attitude we got back was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It felt like they wanted us to order quickly, eat, and leave without asking for anything outside of the most basic transaction. One thing that really stood out was their refusal to substitute sides. At most restaurants, asking for a simple side swap is a completely normal request. Here, they flat-out refused with zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate. It came off as unnecessarily rigid and frankly pretty unfriendly. When customers are paying premium prices, a little accommodation should not be too much to ask. And speaking of mistakes they forgot my fries entirely. My meal arrived incomplete, and I had to point it out. Even then, it didn't feel like it was taken very seriously. No apology that felt genuine, no urgency to fix it, just a very casual reaction as if forgetting part of a meal was no big deal. When you're charging the prices they do, attention to detail should be the bare minimum. That brings me to the pricing, which honestly feels way too high for what you get. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the price point when the service experience is this poor. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants where you can get equally good if not better food while actually being treated like a valued customer. Overall, the biggest takeaway from my visit is that good food alone doesn't make up for bad service. Restaurants succeed when they combine great meals with hospitality and basic respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Between the inattentive staff, the rude attitude toward simple requests, forgotten items like my fries, and the high prices, the experience left a pretty bad impression. I really wanted to like this place, but the service made it hard to justify coming back. There are too many good Mediterranean spots out there to spend money somewhere that treats customers like an afterthought.

Unfortunately, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price, especially the chicken dish. We arrived at 5:45 p.m. for our 6:00 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, we waited about 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. While our waitress wasn't particularly attentive, she did apologize for the delay in getting our food. The restaurant itself is cute, specially outside seating. One suggestion is that the tables are larger for two people. The table next to us requested another table to be moved over to hold their food and drinks properly. The pita bread didn't arrive until later in the meal, and while it was a nice addition, it didn't make up for the small serving sizes and lack of anything to dip it into at that point. I truly wanted to love this restaurant and leave a glowing review because the food itself was very good. Sadly, between the long wait, service issues, and portion sizes that didn't match the prices, the overall experience fell short of our expectations.

The floor and tables were also sticky, but since a lot of businesses in the area are recovering from hurricane damage I decided that I would not hold that against them, which I consider generous because this may be the norm here.
