Back to the Nosh Pit for lunch Another delicious sandwich for both of us- Same order as last review but I forgot to ask for an overstuffed sandwich and they were out of Cole slaw which kinda stinks because all the other sides are more unhealthy- so we tried the house chips. They were not great and those went in the trash. Either serve those hot out the fryer or don't would be my suggestion.. They were cold a little rubbery and had no flavor - The good news is it's about the sandwiches which are effing awesome here! Still nabs ya 5 stars!

Yelp Army recommended the Nosh Pit and gave them a try. A very popular spot in St. Petersburg, and didn't disappoint. The Nosh Pit is a great lunch spot with salads, sandwiches and other tasty treats to fit any mood. Seating is limited, but it you wait a few minutes tables open up quickly. We went with the hot pastrami and hoping for a larger portion, but the sandwich was great overall. Prices were reasonable and sandwich shop was very clean. Line for sandwiches moved quick and staff are very knowledgeable to answer any questions you may have. Great experience and looking forward to another visit. Give this spot a try.

Can you say awesome! The staff are great, friendly and helpful and on top of things. Great indoor and outdoor seating and a nice NY deli kind of vibe and hum. Menu is a taste of NY with lots to choose from. The matzah ball soup excellent, the roast beef with anjus also great and top it off with a combo Hot Pastrami and Corned Beef on Jewish rye. Haven't been you need to make a trip.

Omg! OMG!! Easily the BEST pastrami sandwich of my life... My husband and I came here for lunch after the beach. I ordered the pastrami reuben. From the lightly toasted bread to the toppings and of course the pastrami, everything was EXCELLENT. I couldn't stop saying "omg" with each bite I took. There is nothing that can be done to make this sandwich any better. It is absolute perfection just the way it is. Even the pickle that came on the side is one of the best pickles I've ever had! Do yourself a favor and TREAT YOURSELF to this sandwich!! :)

The Reuben was excellent, tasty, juicy and messy! The sides were great too. NY potato salad and macaroni salad were fresh. The homemade potato chips were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downer was the tiny napkin we had to use a dozen or more.

The Nosh Pit is a NY deli, Florida style. They have one of those old fashioned established signs (2020). The place is spotless, the employees take pride in their work and are cheerful, the tables are modern, and The food....is amazing! I ordered the Jungle Country Club sandwich ($12) Which had a generous amount of turkey, thick strips of bacon, avocado, and I chose house chips for my side. The head chef went to the strawberry festival in Plant City yesterday, so all of today's specials (written in neon colors on a sandwich board outside the entrance) featured strawberries. They got me with strawberry cheesecake. Altogether, the cost was $22, which I thought was pricey until I saw the amount of food I was given. There was so much I needed a to go container (which is rare for me). Well worth the price!

A few months ago, friends were talking about this deli. The next time we saw them, they gave us one of the menus. Today, we did ourselves a favor and stopped in for lunch. There are soup, salads, "Jew-ish Deli Specialties" (think lox, latkes, chopped liver, potato knish, etc.), all beef hot dogs, deli sandwiches and13 other varieties of sandwiches. Yes! Something for everyone. The Coliseum (salami, Capitola, proscuitto & provolone on a toasted hoagie w/toasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato & citrus vinaigrette) was what we decided to share. It was absolutely delicious with high-quality meats and a tasty hoagie bun. The shoestring fries we decided on for our side were perfectly crispy and hot, too. Orders are taken at the counter and delivered to your table. There were three daily specials available too. We brought home the deli order form for meats, cheeses by the pound, deli salads, side items, breads, specialty sides, and a huge variety of sauces. Facilty is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Parking is a breeze in the free parking lot. We'll go back again very soon.

I've been to the Nosh pit x2 and both visits were enjoyable. You order at the counter and they bring your food when it's ready which is always my favorite way to dine. They have a lot of variety on the menu but I always seem to end up with something brisket or pastrami based. I tried the pass-a-grilled cheese which was hot, fresh & delicious. The brisket was tender and juicy, mixed with a grilled cheese was awesome. I appreciate the pickle that accompanies their meals as well. The potato knish was also to die for, definitely home made and seasoned to perfection.

Since I am from the NYC metro area, perhaps it is unfair making the Jewish delis there the standard. The Nosh Pit just doesn't match what you can find up north. The good things about the Nosh Pit include the fact that the workers are friendly & the place is very clean. I ordered a Reuben. The corned beef was lean, but unfortunately absolutely flavorless. There were no "corning spices" used that I could discern. It also was not red, but rather grayish brown. The sauerkraut needed some twang or zing, but it was super dull. And fuggetabout the dressing...super dull as well. I was greatly disappointed, but the Nosh Pit gets some points for trying.

For some reason we didn't try Nosh Pit until this year, and I'm so sad because of all the amazing sandwiches I missed out on up until then! The Jewish deli items are excellent. We've tried the corned beef and pastrami and really enjoyed both. They have great lox and the lox bagel salad is delicious so I imagine the bagel is on point, too. There's a salmon pastrami sandwich, made with Nova smoked salmon with pastrami spices, and while it's not traditional it's excellent. We also love a lot of the other sandwiches- all are fresh with thoughtful flavor combos. I'm particularly partial to the Raymond (rare roast beef, caramelized onions and bleu cheese) and the Maximo tuna melt. The sides aren't quite as good as the amazing sandwiches, but they do the trick. The macaroni salad is heavy on celery salt for my taste but both flavors of potato salad are good and it's cool they make their potato chips in house. I'm a regular for takeout/delivery (they're on Grubhub).

We have had the traditional Cuban, the Salami and the Roast Beef. All are amazing. It is a no frills spot with plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor as well. I noticed they were at one point awarded best of the bay which could just be locals supporting local businesses which is typically how that list goes, because I would definitely not vote this as the best Cuban sandwich. Cute little local shop with mostly outside covered seating and a couple inside two seaters. This is an order at the counter restaurant near treasure island/madeira beach. Great flavor but where is the pork? The meats were limited and the most important one very scarce. They also want $11 for just the sandwich. Was it the worst I've had? No. Was it authentic? Yes. Would i recommend this Cuban sandwich? Sadly, no. If it were half that price and you just wanted a cubano I would say yes. But if you are looking for a truly good cuban sandwich because you've never had one or are craving one, I would not send you here. Decent. But not great. Price too high especially for the lack of meat. For that I give 3 stars

They had a fresh catch of grouper that day, so we decided to try the grouper nuggets. They're market price, but absolutely worth it. Even our friend preferred them over his fried fish. The batter was light, crispy, and delicious. Our kids ordered the bacon cheese fries and loved them. Just a heads-up: they use a nacho cheese sauce rather than shredded cheese, which some people may prefer to know ahead of time. Our friend from Massachusetts ordered the lobster sub (also market price) and said it was worth every penny. My husband and I split the grouper nuggets and the Philly cheesesteak. The bread is brought in from up north, and our server's recommendation did not disappoint. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the onion rings. They use a beer batter, which wasn't our favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Overall, we'd definitely return if we're in the area again. The only downside was parking--$29.99 for two hours is pretty brutal. Thankfully, the food and atmosphere helped make up for it.

That said, I can appreciate that with a team of just two people, they're clearly focused on maintaining quality over quantity. The space itself is absolutely adorable and very thoughtfully curated. During our visit, I realized the owners seemed familiar, and after chatting with them, learned they were behind a few other local restaurants I've enjoyed over the years. Small world! The restaurant is very small with limited seating, but that appears to be intentional and fits the concept. The wine selection was enjoyable, and I really loved the overall idea and atmosphere they've created. When it gets busy, it's easy to see how challenging it can be for a two-person team to balance service and hospitality while keeping everything running smoothly. Even so, the effort, passion, and attention to detail are obvious. Overall, a wonderful addition to the area. 10/10--we'll definitely be back and hopefully snag one of those sandwiches next time!
