Got the XTRA STUFFED NY style with mustard & Swiss and was absolutely delicious. My spouse got the pressed Dali with prosciutto & roasted peppers and she loved it. I am already planning a return for either a Corned Beef or a CB & Pastrami Combo or maybe just two more trips Tis a great lunch spot for refueling in the Park Street & Tyrone Blvd area, so glad I finally tried the Pit!!! The Nosh Pit is a great lunch spot with salads, sandwiches and other tasty treats to fit any mood. Seating is limited, but it you wait a few minutes tables open up quickly. We went with the hot pastrami and hoping for a larger portion, but the sandwich was great overall. Prices were reasonable and sandwich shop was very clean. Did a takeout order for a Hanukkah dinner party I hosted! It was ready when I arrived and everything was perfect: I got a salad platter and a hoagie tray. I love that I was able to pick four different sandwiches so I could mix it up based on my friends. I tried every single one and they were all DELICIOUS. We had the coliseum (Salami, capicola, prosciutto & provolone on a toasted hoagie with roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion & citrus vinaigrette), the tyrone (Turkey & roast beef with Swiss, lettuce, tomato & 1000 island dressing), the old northeast (NY State roast beef, provolone, spinach, tomato, onion, and creamy horseradish), and the jungle country club (Turkey, avocado, (B)bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar & roasted garlic aioli). Omg! OMG!! Easily the BEST pastrami sandwich of my life... My husband and I came here for lunch after the beach. I ordered the pastrami reuben. From the lightly toasted bread to the toppings and of course the pastrami, everything was EXCELLENT. I couldn't stop saying "omg" with each bite I took. The place is spotless, the employees take pride in their work and are cheerful, the tables are modern, and The food....is amazing! I ordered the Jungle Country Club sandwich ($12) Which had a generous amount of turkey, thick strips of bacon, avocado, and I chose house chips for my side. The head chef went to the strawberry festival in Plant City yesterday, so all of today's specials (written in neon colors on a sandwich board outside the entrance) featured strawberries. They got me with strawberry cheesecake. Altogether, the cost was $22, which I thought was pricey until I saw the amount of food I was given. I've been to the Nosh pit x2 and both visits were enjoyable. You order at the counter and they bring your food when it's ready which is always my favorite way to dine. They have a lot of variety on the menu but I always seem to end up with something brisket or pastrami based. I tried the pass-a-grilled cheese which was hot, fresh & delicious. The brisket was tender and juicy, mixed with a grilled cheese was awesome. I appreciate the pickle that accompanies their meals as well. A few months ago, friends were talking about this deli. The next time we saw them, they gave us one of the menus. Today, we did ourselves a favor and stopped in for lunch. There are soup, salads, "Jew-ish Deli Specialties" (think lox, latkes, chopped liver, potato knish, etc.), all beef hot dogs, deli sandwiches and13 other varieties of sandwiches. Yes! Something for everyone. The Coliseum (salami, Capitola, proscuitto & provolone on a toasted hoagie w/toasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato & citrus vinaigrette) was what we decided to share. It was absolutely delicious with high-quality meats and a tasty hoagie bun. The shoestring fries we decided on for our side were perfectly crispy and hot, too. Orders are taken at the counter and delivered to your table. There were three daily specials available too. We brought home the deli order form for meats, cheeses by the pound, deli salads, side items, breads, specialty sides, and a huge variety of sauces. Facilty is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Parking is a breeze in the free parking lot. We'll go back again very soon. read more

Since I am from the NYC metro area, perhaps it is unfair making the Jewish delis there the standard. The Nosh Pit just doesn't match what you can find up north. The good things about the Nosh Pit include the fact that the workers are friendly & the place is very clean. I ordered a Reuben. The corned beef was lean, but unfortunately absolutely flavorless. There were no "corning spices" used that I could discern. It also was not red, but rather grayish brown. The sauerkraut needed some twang or zing, but it was super dull. And fuggetabout the dressing...super dull as well. I was greatly disappointed, but the Nosh Pit gets some points for trying. read more

This place was recommended to me, so I went. I ordered a stuff pastrami sandwich and it wasn't stuff, just a few strips of pastrami. I asked if they could add mayonnaise on one side and mustard on the other, the young lady said no but she could give it to me on the side. I particularly didn't like that since I'm the customer and I asked for it. The customer service was Lacking. I'm from New York and there they work hard on pleasing the customer. Also the sneakers the young lady was wearing were filthy. I'm surprised they allow her to work in them since appearance especially in an eatery it should mean a lot since you're serving the paying public. For some reason we didn't try Nosh Pit until this year, and I'm so sad because of all the amazing sandwiches I missed out on up until then! The Jewish deli items are excellent. We've tried the corned beef and pastrami and really enjoyed both. They have great lox and the lox bagel salad is delicious so I imagine the bagel is on point, too. There's a salmon pastrami sandwich, made with Nova smoked salmon with pastrami spices, and while it's not traditional it's excellent. We also love a lot of the other sandwiches- all are fresh with thoughtful flavor combos. I'm particularly partial to the Raymond (rare roast beef, caramelized onions and bleu cheese) and the Maximo tuna melt. The sides aren't quite as good as the amazing sandwiches, but they do the trick. The macaroni salad is heavy on celery salt for my taste but both flavors of potato salad are good and it's cool they make their potato chips in house. I'm a regular for takeout/delivery (they're on Grubhub). read more

We have driven by the place many times and after seeing a local influencer talk about their Thanksgiving sandwiches we had to get there before it was too late. My BF had the sub version which didn't include mashed potatoes but had stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, and gravy. I ordered the open-faced turkey, mashed, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry on toasted challah bread. Sandwiches came with sides like fries, chips, mac or potato salad -- I took the matzo ball soup to go. Food was fresh and delicious while the service was equally perfect. Seating is plentiful - indoor and outdoor tables, two booths, and many individual tables with chairs. Great help-yourself section with to-go packaging for your leftover goodies. Ah, I wanted to love this place. It came highly recommended, but it didn't live up to the hype my opinion, not even close. I ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese and a matzo ball soup. The soup was fine, nothing to complain about, but lacked flavor both in the matzo ball itself and the broth. The bagel on the other hand, there are better ones at Walmart. Flavorless, and not even toasted to make up for the inauthentic texture and flavor. Total disappointment. I have been wanting to try this local spot since the announcement of its opening! I finally had the opportunity during the week at lunch time. They were not busy as we went around 11:00am. We were greeted by a wonderfully nice young lady who explained the menu and told us her favorites. She recommended the salmon pastrami, the Park Street Pile up, or the blueberry patch. Maybe that is where I went wrong, I didn't order any of her suggestions. Thanksgiving was coming and I wouldn't be enjoying any customary dinner foods on that day, so I saw a Thanksgiving-Type sandwich on their menu outside as a special and I immediately wanted it. I ordered the Holiday Hero (oven roasted turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce). As my side I got NY style potato salad. My husband got the Coliseum, which I was tempted to choose if the Thanksgiving sandwich wasn't there! He chose the macaroni salad as his side. Our food was quickly made and brought to us. It was a very large portion. I couldn't even finish 1/2 my sandwich. My sandwich was okay. The side was okay. My sandwich was dry and did not taste as I had hoped. The turkey did taste like it was freshly carved, but the stuffing tasted like Stouffer's and the bread was not what I had hoped, it was almost like it was stale. My side dish was meh. Publix makes better potato salad and I had such high hopes when she said everything is made in house. My husband's sandwich and side were what was bad. I did not think you could make an Italian sandwich taste bland, but it did. I love those meats and the dressing on it was non-existent. The worst part, however, was the macaroni salad. It tasted like nothing but cold noodles. I know there was stuff on it and with it, but I could not taste any of it. I was very disappointed and we will not come back. This place is so great for a giant sandwich and soup. The sandwiches are so big I usually split one with someone or wrap up half for later. My go to is the super stuffed Reuben. I'm a sucker for good pastrami and corned beef. I also love their three bean salad, pasta salad, and their fries. They have great sodas and a few beers to choose from. A few tables inside and out this place is not very big but usually finding a seat is not an issue since it's a lunch spot and traffic moves quickly. The staff is always helpful and attentive. I was REALLY craving Chopped Liver and decided to go check out The Nosh Pit. At first glance, it really showed promise. The place was pretty full, I saw a couple of people leaving with takeout orders, and when I walked in, I was immediately greeted! The young woman directed me to the menus and told me she'd be happy to help me when I was ready or answer any questions. The place is bright and modern, the tables have a cool epoxy swirl pattern in them, creating fun artwork, and there are little pops of Judaica around the dining room. I ordered the Chopped Liver with Rye Bread ($7.00) and a side of New York Potato Salad ($2.50). They also offer Southern Style with Mustard and Egg. Since I ordered a simple dish, the food came out right away. Unfortunately, the cool atmosphere and friendly service were overshadowed by the really poor food. The Chicken Liver had great texture, you could see pieces of diced Onion and Egg, but it was REALLY dry, bland, and crumbly. The New York Potato Salad was creamy with big pieces of Potato. However, several thick slices of Potato were stuck together during cooking, making one thick piece that was still hard. It was really flat. It tasted like it was just mixed with Mayo, and someone left out the vinegar and seasoning. It's pretty bad when the Rye Bread was the star of my lunch! Not in a rush to head back again. read more

We were a party of 4 and purchased many things. In particular I purchased a double filled pastrami sandwich for the extra doe. When received i compared it to my girlfriends. She got the regular size. To my disappointment, was the same in height and I paid the extra 3.00 for the extra stuffed one. The potato salad was fair at best, and the pastrami had to much fat on it.
