As a family, we have been going to Dr. Sanayei's office for over 15 years now. She and her staff are very attentive and provide a great service. I have recently put on braces and one of the wires had just come off this past weekend, I called and they right away made room for me to get my braces fixed. I will never recommend Dr Berna Sanayei to anyone. I found her through Delta Dental. I saw Dr. Sanayei about 6 times very briefly during the 1 1/2 yrs and I never did get a pair of dentures made that fit or even looked like a regular set of dentures. I was appalled at the denture plates themselves. They looked like a child had constructed them out of play dough with no resemblance to gums. The plates never fit properly and I was never able to get the teeth to align up together for chewing let alone smiling. They either slanted to one side of my face or the other, giving me the appearance of having a stroke. I lost lots of time off work and lost wages due to constant visits for refitting the dentures. I have had 4 sets of dentures made since my 20's when I lost my teeth to an industrial acid accident at work so I know what a professionally made set of dentures looks and feels like. Dentures should take no longer than 2 months to make start to finish and some dentures are done in one day. There's no excuse for a set of dentures to take a year and a half to make and they still don't come out right. I give the staff of Dr Sanayei high marks, especially Wendy. Zero for Sanayei. I was referred to Dr. Sanayei recently. Coincidentally, I was ready to have a crown placed on an implant. I found Dr. Sanayei to be one of the most capable and professional dentists ever. For the first time ever I had a crown placed without the need for grinding and adjusting. It fit perfectly the first time. I will never go to another dentist again! Worse dental experience I ever had! Walk-in visit to get information if they accept new patient and that I have no dental insurance but will be paying cash. The receptionist told me yes, and offered me their insurance plan, that I pay $145 and it's good to use it for a year. So I make an appointment the next day, paid the fee, met Dr. Sanayei, then got my teeth cleaning, exam and x-ray. I did mentioned I was having a problem on my right side of teeth. After getting all the service done, I was told that I have to get fillings done, 4 of them. It will cost me a total of $476. Made appt. the next day to get the upper right teeth and another on the upper right teeth and paid $238. Dr. Sanayei performed the service expecting to get fillings done, but to find out I need to get a root canal. So she had to send me to a specialist! She was explaining everything to me and I totally get it.I tried questioning and clarifying what I was told, and the dentist started getting aggreveted at me! That she had to pass me on to her receptionist (Wendy) and said to reimburse me and don't want to see me again! How unprofessional manner!! I thought she was a very nice and professional dentist in the beginning. I was even referrering her to my family.She was very quick in judgement of my financial issue, which is not even my main concerns. If they would be more upfront with me in the beginning, I did not have to go through all this misleading and confusions. I left her office very frustrated, and humiliated and misled, I don't even want to go there again. I'm going back to see my old dentist Dr.Henry Chang to get the job done finish. This is the first time I have ever written a review for Yelp. I felt it is my obligation to let everyone know what a horrible horrible experience I had In this dental office. She has her 12 year old son doing homework in there so I felt bad that he had a mother who is running such an unethical practice. So for her son I did not write anything on Yelp. But my conscience got the better of me. People need to know how bad it is. From the absolutely incompetent office staff to the dental experience there us no one worse than this practice. The girl at the front desk wore a ski jacket and could not be more young and unprofessional. They lie about what they offer you finance wise. I was going to get new veneers and they took all my money from Care Credit before we even started. I had to plead my case to care credit and won. When I had work done on my teeth some dentist worked on me and I was not informed if who she was and why I was not getting Dr Sanayei. After I had a few cavities filled my face was bruised for two weeks where she pinched my skin from opening my mouth. I am an interior designer and clients kept asking me what happened to my face. I know that Dr Sanayei is from Turkey and maybe the way they run the dental offices there are different from here.So for that I try to be understanding. this is the worst dentist I have ever been to. First of all she schedules my five-year-old daughter for an appointment at 7:45 I was there on time and she wasn't there until 815 when I asked her what time she opens she told me 9 o'clock which was a lie when I informed her that she scheduled my daughter for a 7:45 appointment she then decided to say she was open and let me and my children in. once we were inside the receptionist was on the phone for about 15 minutes before anyone came to help me. once my daughter was taken into the exam room the doctor came in took a quick look and once I informed her that my daughter had a canker sore in her throat she said she was unable to perform a tooth extraction and referred me to another dentist after already being referred to five other dentists. Once I arrived at this new dentist who were very helpful and informative they explained me that a canker sore has absolutely nothing to do with extracting a tooth. So my conclusion is the doctor lied to me to shuffle me and my children out the door so she did not have to perform a procedure on my daughter she is five years old and has been in pain for a month being shuffled from dentist the dentist this woman infuriated me I do not recommend that anybody ever goes to this woman unless they want to be severely miss treated. I could not believe the audacity of this woman to lie to my face and push me out of the out of the door like I was some kind of nuisance. Also this next dentistI went to told me that the tooth did not need to be extracted that it could be saved and there was no reason to put her through an unnecessary and painful procedure. especially on a child...do not take your child here she does not know what she's talking about and should maybe go back to school to be properly informed. If I could give her no stars I would. I hope mrs. Sanayei reads this and understand how horrible she is and how much practice she needs. I will not refer to this woman as a doctor. read more

Great service. My husband and I went here for a long over due dental check up and we both were impressed. The lobby was nice and clean and the receptionist was very nice and helpful and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. The Dentist was much more helpful then others I've gone to and even made suggestions that would save us money and didn't just try put money in her pocket. The x-ray machine impressed me as well. They show you the x-rays immediately on a TV screen and zoom in to give you the detailed images and problem areas in real-time while you're still sitting. This is a nice touch as I could clearly see the problem areas she was mentioning. read more

Horrible Experience. Very Disappointing despite previous reviews. They would not do a regular cleaning to my husband unless he pays 300 for additional services not covered by insurance. They abandoned him in a room after Xrays have been done for 40 minutes just to tell that they will not perform the regular cleaning. I have made an appointment a month in advance and specified the service. It is a money extortion and SCAMMERS' operation, Just a waste of time. read more

I Love this dentist and her staff! I'm terrified of going to the dentist and had to have several procedures done, but they made me feel safe and comfortable. I've looked for years to find a dentist like her! The staff is wonderful and friendly and make you feel very welcome. The office is located in a beautiful area and is very clean. They are open on Saturdays which is another plus! You can reach someone for help on the weekends if you have a dental emergency. My husband and kids go there and love them as much as I do! I'm totally with Felicia A. - horrible dentist, and THE WORST cleaning experience I've ever had (& I've been to many dentists)!!!! After waiting almost an hour, the dentist came in to clean my teeth. She did say "I'm sorry." I asked her if that was normal but no answer to that. I jokingly said, "well, I need to be seen, so I certainly wanted to wait." Yes, the place is clean, and the front desk staff (W.) is very friendly indeed. The dentist's assistant, while friendly enough, is in serious need of retraining. After the worst scraping and bleeding experience I've ever had at this awful dentist's hands, the assistant did the usual follow-up work (i.e., floss/buff). The buffing material spattered onto my face, and when she rinsed me, I had water sprayed all over my face. When she was done, she had the audacity to ask me, "better, right?" Right!!! I had to ask her to hand me a kleenex to wipe the water off my face. Let's get back to the scraping the dentist did - she never apologized for HURTING me, the bleeding or the accompanying pain. When she was done, she made ready to just leave - no "thank you for coming" (new patient), no "do you have any questions?" (I had several). When I asked about cost of caps (crowns she called them), she said she didn't know as the front staff took care of all billing matters. Really?!! This dentist needs some training in "bedside" manners - or would you call it dental chair manners?! I don't know why she got the 4 star ratings, but if I could give her a MINUS star rating, I would! She behaved as if she was in a hurry, and for most of the cleaning, the assistant was NOT there. She came in for the last 5 minutes (7 min?) or so. The dentist - as she was scraping my gums till they bled (quite a lot), and I could taste the horrible taste of blood as I had to SWALLOW it! The assistant? She was busy talking!!! The dentist - instead of addressing me - stated to the assistant, "boy, she has a lot of tarter........." ??? WTH? Why not discuss that with me AFTER the cleaning instead of running out of that small room as if she was done and could not be bothered to have a brief discussion with me. She asked me - in middle of scraping (I mean cleaning) what kind of tooth paste I used - well, that was one of the things I wanted to ask her - wasn't Colgate a good tooth paste? Why did she ask me what tooth paste I used? All in all, I am STILL IN PAIN TODAY - after almost 3 days after the procedure. I came home Saturday afternoon and had to take 2 Tylenols to relieve the awful PAIN from her scraping. Also, I was till bleeding when I got home! Unbelievable! I will not be going back to her, and I will be filing a complaint with the insurance company about her. I would strongly urge others NOT to go to her. read more
