Scheduling routine dental cleanings has always been easy and convenient. We decided to keep both children with the practice for orthodontics as well, thinking it would simplify appointments. However, we weren't aware that the orthodontist has limited office days and hours, which has made rescheduling appointments more challenging than expected. Had we known this upfront, we may have considered other options. That said, Dr. Wong has been wonderful and we're very happy with the care he provides. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The only concern we've had is that the orthodontic assistant who sees my daughter has made her feel somewhat uncomfortable during the last few visits, possibly due to frustration over recurring broken brackets. Overall, we've had a good experience, and Dr. Wong has been a big reason why we've continued our orthodontic care here.

My oldest daughter comes here for orthodontics as well as for her dentist and her braces plan is progressing well. My son comes here for dentist only for now and has seen Dr. Reham. She is amazing. Super skilled at what she does and super gentle with the kids. You definitely feel like you can trust her. My son had cavities that had to be filled, with laughing gas and it went very well. Finally, my youngest daughter had the most dental work done here after she experienced cavities and tooth decay due to drinking milk in bed as a baby and not brushing afterwards. She had to do the repair under general anesthesia at 3, which is super nerve-wrecking as a parent but under the care of Dr Nancy it went very well. We appreciate that everything is super kid friendly, from the coin kids get to retrieve a prize at the end of each visit, the tee shirt and picture with the dentist they get on their first visit, etc. We will keep coming here and also a special shoutout to all the dental assistants! We appreciate you.

I really appreciate how efficient and thorough the staff is when scheduling appointments and during our visits. They are so well staffed that things work like a well oiled machine. One of the best things is being able to get appointments after school so that I don't have to take any time off to get my kids here. At our old dental office, only morning appointments were available and it was super inconvenient for working parents. Want to give a special shout out to our dental hygienist Kevin who did a great job today and our orthodontist Dr. Janice! I'll always recommend SVPD!

Honest Experience…read more We've been coming here for some time now, and unfortunately, I've noticed that the doctor's attention to detail and thoroughness just aren't where I'd expect them to be, especially when it comes to my children's dental care. For example, the doctor frequently reminds my kids about the importance of brushing their teeth, but during their own cleaning, I noticed that their teeth were brushed for maybe 5-10 seconds. That really concerned me because I expect a professional cleaning to be much more thorough than what we experienced. The office itself is very welcoming and kid-friendly, which is one of the reasons I continued coming back. (Which is why I gave a couple stars) However, at this point, I would rather take my children somewhere that prioritizes a more detailed and thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and based on our experience, I've also shared my concerns with family and friends. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their level of care.

As I was attempting to find my new insurance card (I have a different plan since our last visit), the front desk staff stated they could not find me online and asked me if I wanted a printout. I was confused by the question and asked "a printout of what" and she responded "do you want me to print out what we see...that we can't find your insurance coverage". I said no as I didn't see the point and wanted to focus on logging into my work phone to find my insurance card. The staff person decided to print it out and hand it to me anyway. I'm not sure if she thought this was helpful, but I found it to be very rude. What was I supposed to do with that printout? Then they proceeded to ask if I wanted to reschedule (it had been a good 10 minutes past our appointment time). No I did not want to reschedule! What would have been helpful would have been for the staff to take the kids back and start their appointments while I grabbed my laptop from the car and logged in to access their insurance card information. What would have also been helpful is to have an email listed on their website so I could give feedback directly to them. Instead, I am forced to write a negative public review which I don't normally like to do. We will not be returning as I do not appreciate their lack of customer service and respect for other people's time. I took time off of work and my daughter missed an after-school activity for this appointment. This was a complete waste of time and energy. I don't recommend bringing your kids here if you want a nice experience from start to finish.

She is four years old now and is very comfortable 'going to the dentist'. The office is warm, big prop trees divide the space between the office and the waiting room. There are enough books to keep a small classroom entertained and my daughter felt catered to. The dental hygienist was so kind and offered me a spot to sit to watch my daughter. She asked if they could do X-rays which I agreed to. They were careful to explain how the teeth would eventually push through and at what angles. My daughter was busy watching a movie with provided headphones, so none of the procedures seemed to bother her. After her cleaning, she got to choose a prize and enter into a drawing to win a bicycle. All very exciting to a four year old. She'll look forward to more of the excitement. I had to email their front staff to fill out a form for her TK registration earlier this summer and they replied within four hours of my request. I was impressed with their response time and as a busy mom, I am grateful for the help!

Absolutely gaslit by a severely misinformed dentist at this office. I went in with a…read morewell-researched plan for my very challenging child that I was hoping to have an open discussion about and instead was gaslit and repeatedly having to defend my stance. 1. Glass ionomer is absolutely a viable option for a tooth with no enamel (as my child has) as a preventative measure/temporary solution, three dentists later and all the ChatGPT and Gemini data I can consume, I was right. It was literally designed to adhere to challenging teeth situations, including my child's, a no enamel tooth (which is actually quite rare, so there probably is some enamel present) and in his case, one that has not fully erupted. The chemical reaction that takes place does not need "hooks" to bond - it literally is an acid-base reaction to either enamel OR dentin creating a true chemical bond and thus a seal to temporarily protect said tooth. Both enamel and dentin contain hydroxyapatite - the key player is Calcium. The polyacrylic acid has negatively charged carboxyl groups that can chelate to calcium ions. So when GIC is placed on the tooth (regardless of whether it is dentin or enamel), the acid conditions the surface, some calcium is available on the surface and the polyacralate chains form ionic bonds with surfac calcium and you get a chemical adhesion layer. Only difference is that with dentin, mineral density is lower, more organic matrix present and more moisture - so while it is a lesser bond, it still absolutely chemically bonds and would give the tooth some protection while we wait for it to fully erupt, for him to mature and hopefully continue work through his gag reflex. Basically buy time. Chemistry was my favorite class. 2. When I say no stainless steel cap or amalgam - I MEAN NO STAINLESS STEAL - and you are also WRONG if you think they do not contain nickel. Nickel is literally the ingredient needed to allow dentists to FORM the cap. It's not for you then to debate me for 10 minutes. I do not want the added release of Nickel into his system, a metal his father has a KNOWN ALLERGY TO. My child already has brain inflammation - I do not need to increase his load. Instead of listening, I was questioned multiple times about "how allergic my husband really is" or my favorite "all my other PANS/PANDAS patients are fine with the stainless steal". DO NOT CARE. Until you hold your child while he is convulsing himself to sleep because his brain is inflamed and his motor tics are out of control, you don't get to push your narrative. I am telling you as his parent what I need from you. Don't gaslight me into something because it is easier and cheaper for you. The rest of the office, awesome - great hygienists, awesome front desk - so sweet, great with kids. If you have a kid with no issues and just regular checkups, probably fine. But if you have a unique situation that requires thoughtful consideration with knowledgeable dentist, I would NEVER take my child back here. He deserves better care and as a parent, I have standards = a dentist who doesn't gaslight and understands the very basics of the treatments they are responsible for giving.

We have never gone to this location and only Saratoga, but the bills come from here…read more I took my kids to the Saratoga location as they were in network and every time we went, the staff said we only have to pay the copay. Then this May I started receiving a bill online. The "bill" never provided an explanation as to what exactly they were for. I asked for an itemized bill, in which they could not produce for months. It wasn't until August that someone called me back to tell me verbally what the charges were (x rays that I didn't know my child took), but still nothing on paper and I received a notification every month about my outstanding mysterious balance. In early Nov, they finally produced an itemized bill that I have attached. I'm still not sure why under 3 years old oral evaluation isn't covered by my insurance, but that's what I was told. I paid the statement balance and today, 12/5, I receive yet another notice that I owe $7. There was no explanation, but comparing the two statements, which I have included here, it seems they randomly changed some charges and even added a charge. This is fraud because the last six months they have sent me a different bill this whole time and now all of a sudden after I paid they decided to change the charges with no explanation? It is also harassment to continue to email someone without providing any explanation for the charges. It's their responsibility to make sure the charges are correct and it seems they're just arbitrary at this point. Stay away from this incompetent business.

Our hygienist was amazing - she was attentive, listened carefully, made notes and then not only did she listen well, but she conveyed the information to Dr. Nancy and Dr. Nancy came in having read my input form/listening to the hygienist. Might not sound like a big deal, but for the first time I felt like I had a true partner in my child's care, much like his pediatrician. I felt heard, I felt supported and then she carefully went through his mouth and we talked through treatment options of what made sense. She also answered all of my questions. Front desk came with a complete explanation of what was covered/not - everything was clear, in writing, and was able to click a button that said proceed! Another incredible service - once you agree to your treatment plan, you get an email with the PDF that not only shows what you agreed to but the actual teeth impacted. I know this seems silly but I have never seen the actual tooth number/letter up until now for my child and he is age 8. From the phone call, where the receptionist attentively answers all scheduling logistics questions, to the dedicated dental assistants and doctors who go out of their way to make every family feel totally at home- this office covers all the bases. Their warm receptionists are well-versed in checking insurance eligibility and the treatment coordinator is great about calculating accurate co-pay amounts. There are never any hidden fees or surprises for the bill, which is a welcome reprieve from all the red tape that can come with large, DSO-owned offices. It's comforting to come to a private, single proprietor owned practice, with personal accountability. It's reassuring that their financial coordinator bills out-of-network dental insurances as a courtesy to us, and the small difference in co-pay is certainly worth it, for high quality, personalized care. Their spacious waiting room has all of the necessary amenities: plenty of comfortable seating, a wide array of tea and coffee, and educational toys for the kids to play with, while waiting. The kids adore the rustic rocking horse, while they sit and watch their favorite Disney movie that's streaming on the large, flat screen TV. To our pleasant surprise, all of the children, even for filling appointments, happily follow the caring dental assistants back into the clinical room. No child looks anxious, which is rare, given that this is a dental setting. This is such a huge relief for parents, who can totally relax and have confidence when allowing their children to follow the RDA into the clinical area. The assistants and dental associates are all calibrated to deliver the same, high quality dental care that Dr. Cindy prides her team in. Dr. Omid is so gentle and soft-spoken. Dr. Ivan Lee places stunning cosmetic restorations on baby and adult teeth. He is an absolute perfectionist. Dr. Andrew Huang has this soothing and calming effect on even the most nervous kids. He's very thorough with exams, and clearly explains every finding. All of their dentists do excellent treatment, such that even the most fearful children have no reservations about moving forward and returning. I have no reservation about recommending this practice for kids and young adults alike. Everyone leaves with a beautiful, healthy smile here!
