So, a while back I posted a very negative review of bernardi toyota. This is because of the rude people I had to deal with last time (I wont mention names, nor do I think they work there anymore). Long story short, I needed an inspection sticker quick and decided to stop here. The service department was super friendly and made my visit worth it. I believe the gentleman who helped me was Brandin. He was very knowledgeable and got me in and out quickly. The newly updated atmosphere was so pleasant. Clean, modern, and offers refreshments at no cost while you wait. I think this was such a smart move, considering the money people do end up spending at dealerships. Anyways, this is an updated review, and I am happy to say I left with a smile confident they can take care of me and my vehicle. read more

I came for a 70K mile service, no appointment (the bad part that loses them a star is that although the service area opens at 7, they don't appear to answer the phone before 9. The totally unrelated Subaru dealership five miles away does the same thing - why?), and with a coupon for a $29.95 oil change/ multipoint inspection. They were friendly and accommodating, and the service was performed quickly. Didn't try the beverages. I liked that they have many tables and chairs scattered throughout the showroom, so it was easy to find a quiet place away from the TV. Also, NO attempts to get me to add any other services (my husband is suspicious of free multi-point inspection deals). Can I give them 4 1/2 stars? Great service! We had engine trouble on our way from NJ to Boston on a busy Saturday afternoon, I called Bernardi from 150 miles out and they were waiting for us when we got there, took us right in, we're able to repair the car THAT AFTERNOON, and even checked and let us know the car was still under extended warrantee (which we were not aware of!). Michael was a dream to work with and saved us from what would have been a nightmarish weekend trying to move our daughter without our car. The dealership is spotless, client-friendly (free coffee and TV in a spacious, comfortable waiting room), and extremely well run. A thousand thank yous for such professional and friendly service. After moving back here from California I needed a car fast. A friend of the family found a car in my price range, with low mileage. Unfortunately, the car was shown a less expensive price online than in the dealership. After a test drive and quick conversation with our sales representative, Pavel Kostyukov, who was very helpful. I decided to get the car and right after signing the papers the Manager came over and told us the title was not with the car so they got me a rental free of charge to me until they were able to get a duplicate title. This took stress off of my shoulders and I will recommend anyone go to this dealership and deal with Pavel if they are in the market for a used or new car. read more

There's a car I like, and I want to work through clearing up an obvious mistake on CARFAX report. The solution is as easy as sending in supporting docs. Ark Roch and the used car sales manager Jamie Waitt have not been helpful in providing the supporting docs. The previous last two readings of the report are: 08/28/2013 - 27,799 miles "vehicle offered for sale" 10/08/2013 - 29,933 miles "vehicle offered for sale" I do not believe the car was driven 2,134 miles over this period of about 40 days. AND, It does not make sense for the dealership to roll UP the miles. The problem is that when I (or the next owner) pull the car fax after purchasing the car, there will be a red flag discrepancy. Until this can be resolved, the car value is worth thousands less. Most disappointing, Ark said to me: These kind of carfax mistakes happen all the time; however, not everybody checks carfax. You either buy the car and deal with clearing up the carfax afterward, or we sell it to someone else that's interested. I didn't buy the car. read more

Recently, my parents went in to get their car checked on (due to a recall). Although it took a few tries and trials, they found a helpful hand with the gentleman called Brendan. Brendan was kind and helpful in repairing the motor in their vehicle. We were so happy and relieved to have someone take the time to listen and understand the whole situation. How can I leave more than 1 star for a sales rep who asked when we flying up from FL to MA to sign a sales contract on a rare BMW before he even knew the price of it and after 2 minutes on our first contact? Typical data mining form the web ad, chat, then get our # and then literally 'wait wait, don't hang up!' after I was so bold to tell him to call me when he has a price on the BMW. I'm a physician and my pal who wanted the car owns 9 cars in 2 countries and this sales system hustler lost a client, sale and motivated me to write this review-brilliant. I don't even know where to begin in explaining how awful their customer service/parts and service department is. I bought my vehicle at Bernardis and because it was new I get free service and maintenance for three years. I honestly feel like they should be paying me for my tolerance with their complete lack of organization and communication. Not only am I not going back to get the remainder of my free oil changes, I will never buy another vehicle there again. Some examples of their poor service: I waited four hours for an oil change (yes, I had an appointment). Another time, my service rep left the building after he checked me in and again I waited way too long. And the final straw, I made an appointment this past weekend for routine service only to find out they have been changing my oil every 5,000 miles instead of 10,000 thus using up my free oil changes much sooner than they should be. They JUST called me to find out where I was this weekend. What??? I was there, I spoke with a service manager. I've had at least three conversations with 'managers' there and they have all assured me I wouldn't have to wait the next time. I have waited at least three hours most every time I was there. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE OR ENGAGE WITH BERNARDI TOYOTA IN FRAMINGHAM, MA. THEY HAVE PROVEN TO BE DISHONEST AND UNETHICAL IN THEIR BUSINESS INTERACTIONS WITH ME AND MANY OTHERS. THIS DEALERSHIP SHOULD BE RUN OUT OF BUSINESS! MY EXPERIENCE FOLLOWS: 1. I am set on a specific make, model and color. I signed up with TrueCar.com to search for the car I want in my area and to see which dealer was offering the lowest price. 2. Bernardi Toyota in Framingham was listed as having it. I spoke with a Sales Consultant (who shall remain nameless because the fault may be with the manager or with another sales associate who was trying to sabotage/undercut her). Dealer said they only had the model One which is not what I really want and I told her I had to think on it. 3. Thursday the dealer calls back to see if I want to come in. I tell her the model One is not what I want and then she says all of a sudden they do have the model Two (what I wanted and searched for/requested with TrueCar). I was very enthusiastic on the phone, told her I was serious about buying, couldn't find this car anywhere else, that I didn't need to finance, could pay outright cause I wanted to drive off the lot same day. I then asked if they would honor the price estimate on TrueCar (which was $2,300 off the MSRP when I first printed the savings certificate). She said they'd honor it so I made an appointment for the following day. 4. Thursday night I return to TrueCar.com to find the price estimate had been increased by $650. No doubt due to my enthusiasm and professed ignorance about the car buying process Bernardi took the opportunity to increase the TrueCar price. Thankfully I still had the original savings certificate with the lower estimate so I figured I'd have some leverage with that. 5. Friday morning on my drive to the dealership which was out of the way for me (40 mins on the Mass Pike), I call to confirm that I'm 20 mins away. Dealer was a bit impatient and abrupt but acknowledged our appointment. 10 mins later while I was still on route, I get a call from her saying the car I want was in fact NOT THERE, that it had been moved to their storage location and that they can't get it back until Monday. Dealer was very apologetic, plus I was focused on driving so I didn't go into what a serious inconvenience this was (how I rescheduled my life, borrowed a car to make the trip that day, and arranged for my senior, physically disabled mother to come with me so she could try the car herself to see if it'd be a comfortable ride for her, etc.). After some thought on this experience I have come to the following conclusions: 1. I can't believe a dealership could be so incompetent! The fact that the dealer confirmed only the day before that the car was in stock and that she saw it with her physical eyes leaves a small window for the car to have been moved to storage. Plus I expressed serious interest: made the appointment, said I would pay in full and intended to drive off same day with a new car. 2. Once a salesman knows he has you, he does everything he can to be accommodating and make the sale. This means either the manager told her not to sell for the TrueCar savings and lied to me or that the car had in fact been moved and there's another sales associate trying to sabotage and undermine her. I had received a promotional email recently: Bernardi was really pushing this weekend for end-of-year savings, special incentives, plus with the weather being so good. They probably figure they can sell the car to someone else for more. 3. We'll see if I get a call on Monday from the dealer. But after the scathing reviews I've read on Yelp this morning and with mine now added, should they dare to call, I don't think I'll even bother to answer. read more

Bernardi Toyota Framingham, MA is the worst Service center ever in the USA. I have got my car servicing at many places but this place is the worst of all. I have done lot of oil changes, wheel, alignment, 60K miles service, etc. Once I get out of the service center and if a issue arises they never cover anything on the car. The best part was I bought Toyota Platinum warranty from the same place and had some car keys not working when manually tried to open car, I asked them to rectify the issue and they told me its not covered under Toyota Platinum warranty. Platinum warranty is for covering anything that is a manufacturer defect. Do you ever think I would get inside the car doors to modify my key settings? IF NOT then why would the platinum warranty not cover it?? Its ridiculous that I got into a alignment issue so bad that car drags to the right, steering wheel gets stuck to the right when taking a right turn and vibration of steering wheel when braking within 2 MONTHS of alignments done from them. They are not even ready to take any responsibility of anything, above which they tell that you will have to pay for even making us look at your car, $120/hr just to check the issue. How pathetic can you be ??? read more

He is a very nice guy who keeps service fast and affordable, and will always offer great automotive advice. Utterly disappointed. Purchased a "Certified" vehicle at Bernardi. Six months later, spent close to $1,000 after being promised a reliable vehicle. Never came back, until I had to recently get a second opinion on yet another essential part failure. They told me it was not what my first mechanic had diagnosed, asked me to do another near $1,000 worth of other repairs that would solve the problem. Three days later, the car had the same issue. Took it back there and surprise: it was the first issue all along. Now they want another $1,400 to fix it, when they should have done that in the first place. Stay away from the place. read more

I emailed to see if a used car was still available. Was told yes and made an appointment to come in first thing saturday morning. Drove 45 minutes, when I got there the car was out on a test drive with another customer. Since the other guy wasn't sure about the color, I got to test drive it. Went in to talk price and was told the advertised price was their best price even though KBB said a fair price was $500 less than the sale price. They had no interested in even negotiating. On the bright side, I found a similar car 15 minutes from my house with less miles. Not the color I wanted but it was $1200 under what Bernardi wanted. Something has changed here and not for the better! I was a customer for years until now. Went in to buy a part and they decide to charge over list price (about $15 more). When I point this out to their attention and that other dealers are charging listprice their response was it's another dealer. Really? No kidding so after checking with the manager the employee stated the best they could do was split the difference that would still be over list price. That makes total sense so over charge the customer is a great business model. Needless to say I went to the other dealer and paid less and won't be back to Bernardi ever! I can't even find the words to describe how ridiculous that way of thinking/ doing business is. Now I'm sure they will come on here saying they have costs etc...etc... but list is list and that is built into that price and they even list it on their webpage as the kicker. Shop around and you too will see another dealer might have your parts at the list or a better price. I can say I paid about $75 less than what they wanted to charge me. read more

My new college grad stopped at this dealership about tire issues on a newly purchased car from another Toyota dealership ( because it was closer). The tech informed her that she had 2 punctures ( WHICH could have been plugged because it wasn't on the sidewall) and INSISTED and CONVINCED her to purchase a $220 tire !! As a concerned parent of a child on a VERY limited budget, I contacted the service mgr expressing my concern. He assured me that he would look into the matter and get back to me. That was about 5 weeks ago and I have NEVER BEEN CONTACTED. Sadly, we are entertaining the idea of getting a Toyota Truck.....this place will NOT be on the list. read more

I am giving this three star review in light of a recent transaction with Bernardi in which we in fact did get back our $500 deposit. I feel that their average rating deserve to go up on that basis. By the way if you read the deposit contract it says the contract is nonbinding unless signed by a Bernardi representative. And they had not signed it. So it doesn't sound like they are trying to be sharks about the deposit money. At least not in this case. And we had no particular reason to back out of the deal other than the fact that we learned that the Toyota minivan LE did not have blindside detection. read more

Trust the other reviews. Seriously, trust the reviews!! I wish i had when researching this place. The reviews are spot on and everything that previous customers have reported will probably happen to you. Do not buy or get your car serviced here. Sales are their top priority and customer service is their last. I recently purchased a vehicle from here and Bernardi seriously dropped the ball on registering my car, despite them telling me that I was all set. They never followed up to get insurance info from me despite calling me the day after the sale was made to confirm that I switched over insurance. I went to the dealership on 8/15 almost a week after I bought my car to get my car inspected and they let me wait an hour to finally approach to state that my registration isn't complete (They showed me an email dated 8/9 indicating insurance info was needed). They told me I could either wait another 2 hours or come back the next day. Hmm let me think here, I could leave and drive my car illegally as I had been for a week now or wait another excruciating 2 hours in the effing service queue with all the other dead eyed customers. Anyway, I'm not coming back here and you shouldn't even bother stepping foot in there. read more

I just tried out the Bernardi Toyota Service Department. I had called on a Friday afternoon about a problem I have having with my leased 2016 Camry and when I arrived at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, everything was good to go! I was greeted by Rose, who was welcoming and informed. The problem was quickly resolved and they were able to complete an unscheduled routine maintenance at the same time, saving me a return trip to the dealer in 6 weeks. I was surprised and pleased to see that Mike Mason, who is professional and detail oriented, has taken over as Manager of the Service Department. It was fast and efficient trip to the dealer. From here on in whenever I need service, I'll be bringing our 2016 Camry and certified 2012 RAV4 to Bernardi Toyota.  I highly recommend them! read more

My husband and I were searching for a used car in October and ended up at Bernardi hoping to look at a Ford Fiesta. When we arrived, we were told immediately that the car we saw on the website had already been sold, but that we could be shown any other cars that were similar. We had a relatively small budget and were brought a 2010 Honda hybrid that was several thousand dollars above our budget. Our salesman assured us that it was negotiable and we ended up getting a good deal for the car within our budget. I was happy because I thought a hybrid was totally out of our price range. Our salesman was named James and he was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. He was very new to the company and therefore may not have been as knowledgeable as someone else, but he answered all our questions and concerns by checking with his supervisors. One negative was that there was a very long (hours long) wait to talk to the financial person. However, we were there on a Monday holiday and assumed this was the reason for the wait. The financial person we ended up speaking to (Briana) was very nice and knowledgeable, as well as apologetic about the wait. We had come in pre-approved for a loan through another company, but were told that the price we were getting on the car was only if we financed through one of Bernardis lenders. We didn't mind because, in the end, the rate that Bernardi was able to get us was better than the rate we had gotten through an outside company. In the financial office, there was a strong push for us to get an additional warranty which might bother some people, but we ended up agreeing to it when Briana was able to keep our monthly payments exactly where we wanted them and gave us an extra year for no extra money because we had to wait so long to complete the paperwork. The salesman James followed up with me immediately when the car was available and I was able to pick the car up within the next few days. They registered the car for me and the car was completely cleaned and detailed when I picked it up. I recently took the car to the service department for an oil change (you get 2 free oil changes within the first year of ownership) and had no issue with the service department. There was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected with any dealer. The waiting room was comfortable and offered snacks, coffee, and water. After this, I realized I had misplaced the warranty papers and emailed Bernardi. Within that same day, Briana emailed me back telling me that she would scan the warranty for me and I received them within a day. Overall, I was impressed with all the employees I encountered at Bernardi and found their level of service to be excellent. read more

I engaged with a business transaction April 2013 leasing a corolla LE for $169/mo no $$$ out of pocket. It was a great deal. Since my lease is almost coming to an end, I wanted to get the ball rolling and this time around they got all new sales and finance people FOR THE WORST. I had a young salesman Alex and the sales Mgr Huey who emotionally upset me and DISRESPECTED ME. I brought it up to Toyota Loyalty Department and they turned a deaf ear to me. Toyota said they were going to give me rebates and waive my last 6 payments that was a lie. I took the time to thoroughly learn how leasing works and I just leased at another dealership which gave me pretty much same deal as I had with the 2013 Toyota. The only reason I got the sweet deal at Bernardi's was to push me through the door by inflating the value of my 99 corolla. I worked hard to get my credit score up and never missed a payment and gave the car TLC. The past administration said if I did all this I would get the same deal or better. That statement is true, but not at Bernardi Toyota. Do yourself a favor read the other reviews and stay far away from Bernardi Toyota as far as you can. Bad business, read more

WORST WORST WORST WORST Dealer ever! Please educate your sales guy better with not just selling the vehicle, but more importantly RESPECT your customers!! I came to buy the vehicle and the sales guy named Dell was nice at the beginning (of course, he wanna make commission out of this sale!). I need the car so badly for my business and been trying to ask him the documents that I need to prepare after i made the deal. He DIDn't even know what is needed for business purchase and registration! He told me he got everything needed, but APPARENTLY HE DIDNT! Once the RMV rejected the registration because there was a form missing. HE Called and basically told me to work with the RMV and figure out what is the form is and submit the form to RMV myself. I PAID the document & registration fee in the dealer for handling this. WHY DO i need to go through the hassle to figure things out with RMV?! So much shit back and forth, no respect in the phone or text msgs. I mean seriously?! towards the end, i sent the form over, he grabbed the wrong one and told me i didn't send him the correct form. I asked him to check again, he refused to do so! I said i would send it again and he said okay and just hang up! I was like this is the way you serve a customer? I am not begging you to sell the car or paying you to give me attitude!!! that's just ridiculous! Till now i still dont have my car yet just because they don't know what they suppose to do with RMV. VERY VERY BAD Customer Service at this Toyota Framingham dealership. BEWARE DON'T COME (copy from JN 8/17/2017) . I Can't agree more. There are three bigger bad experiences my husband and I with Toyota Framingham dealership. 1) We have a Toyota Hi-Land 0f 2006. On 2016, the car all of sudden sounded loudly, we sent the car to fix, they charge over $1200 to fix the car. After taking car back, the loudly sound still there. We sent the car back to ask why we paid ~$1200 to fixed, the sound still there? We were told that $1200 was not for the first complain, but something else???!!!. If we want to fix the problem, we need pay $1500 for checking the sounds, which may from the transmission system, then we have to pay another $5000 to fix the transmission...... Then we decided to go a small auto shop to check, an very experienced technician just drive the car on the road for 5 minus , then diagnosed and we only paid $ 360, the problem was fixed. 2) Many times whenever we were there for a services, we always told more services need to be done. Accordingly we say Yes or No, most time we said NO since we drove our car and knew better on our car's condition. It was a really "FUNNY" experience , my husband sent our Toyota Camry for an oil change, turn out he had to pay ~$750 for fixing a problem (???), at first he answered NO, then he has told that HE HAD NO CHOICE since they already made the car not able to move. 3) It just happened yesterday on our leased car. A leased car (Toyota Venza) with 3 years contract will mature on April of 2018. We decided to return it instead of buying since all the services experience made us unhappy (except for the leasing procedure from beginning, understood they want a deal). However my husband was told he can return the car one month earlier and absolutely no payment for the last month, also can have the 3000 milage credit (we did not use the mileage up.) However all the two questions were YES during a consultation. Yesterday my husband returned the car with believing what he was told. After getting every retuning procedure done, he was told NO, NO because this was between Toyota Financial Services and our contract. We feel being stupid to trust them. Surely I called Financial Services, I was told it was between dealership and us, then I called Bernadi manger, HE said nobody force us to return earlier ......I know it will waste our time to deal with The Bernardi Toyota at Framingham, just let you know about our stories BEWARE DON'T COME (copy from JN 8/17/2017) . read more

The sales manager grilled me, trying to determine if I was serious or not. He claimed I promised to buy the car in a previous email (who would do that?) so I just walked out. Never again. read more

Service Center is really great there. I hope they can keep it up. The Business office personnel are horrible, full of excuses, somewhat incompetent and really make the whole entire experience really unpleasant. HAVE YOUR TOYOTA SERVICE DONE ELSEWHERE. Their service department is terrible. After the AC condensation pan clogged up they tried to say it was a spider web causing the problem thus not under warantee. AFTER THE 2ND RETURN, I had to become "emphatic" for them to fix it. THEN, Two weeks after the warantee had expired, the car failed inspection. The on board computer was giving bad output, and simply needed to be re-booted (a 5-10 minute task). They they wanted $90 just to look at it. After arguing for 30 minutes with the service manager, they finally agreed to re-boot it, then all was OK read more
