Went for lunch on a Monday while vacationing in Corolla, there was no wait for a 7 top (1:30pm). Staff was very welcoming and understanding of my 3 year old who was throwing a fit. The hostess even brought him out some French fries before we even ordered drinks, Thank you for that BTW. They have a great selection of beers on tap, which I needed. We started with the Crab dip and Firecracker shrimp, they were both excellent. Crab dip has a little heat to it but I'm a fan, pita chips were perfectly crisp. The shrimp was nice and saucy but still good and crispy. My wife got the Crispy Fried Chicken salad with the chicken tossed in nashville hot sauce, she said it was very good. I had the Shrimp Po'boy BLT, it was packed full of shrimp, slaw and the sauces went very well with it, the roll was perfect. The only complaint was the bacon, it was a little on the burnt side, not terrible though, nothing worth sending it back. Prices are acceptable for a vacation location, bathrooms were clean and plenty of parking. We'll be back!!! read more

Came here on a Saturday night and sat on the upper patio, were seated right away. We got the chicken egg roll appetizer, I got the crab cakes, our son got the kids shrimp and my husband got the cheese smothered chicken. Everything was really good! Got pizza on a turnover day when Corolla Pizza was running an hour and a half for carry out. They had the pizza ready in 15 minutes. The white pizza was our favorite. The first night we went to this bar and grille was fabulous! There was quite a wait however we were welcomed to go upstairs to the bar while we waited. Tonight, our second night - A totally different experience. The gentleman at the door who appeared to be the manager stopped us from going upstairs, was rude and obnoxious to our entire party. Where do I start? The wait? Long, especially for off season. The tuna was awful from the start, side of rice was cold and carrots tasted like chemical. All the fish we ordered seemed to be frozen, warmed up and served. NOT a place to be ordering seafood on the island. I've visited this area since a child, I work and manage in a restaurant and never have I had the experience witnessing a manager act that way towards her employees. Specifically yesterday 8/29 she was horrid to her hostess for doing HER JOB. Not only that she was so rude and dismissive to us at the front. She made it so uncomfortable for our visit. She was wearing a bright pink short sleeve shirt, orangish glasses, and khakis with socks that came up to the khakis .. with boots. Not just having no respect but no style either. There was another server with brown hair I would advise to stay away from, absolutely rude. Dare honestly had to be the best in there. Super nice and attentive. The food is seriously immaculate so we will keep coming back. As for the manager lady just know I will continue to stare at you meanly til I see you be nice to your employee every year I come in. I have a major staring problem so I'm ready. I recommend the Mac and cheese and wings. THE BEST I've had. So is everything else. read more

While there was a lengthy wait for parties of 4 or larger, the two of us were seated immediately at a 2-person high top upstairs. Our bartender/server (Lian(?)) clearly was getting crushed as he made drinks, tended tables and even bussed them as well, but was cheerful in his apology that he would be with us in just a moment. He got to us shortly thereafter, and, while clearly in the weeds, took the extra second necessary to answer our questions graciously. Beer was cold, and, despite being slammed, the kitchen got the dinners out much quicker than we would have expected. Food was tasty, although perhaps a few more waffle fries served with the fish and chips would be welcomed. All in all an excellent evening and will return next time I'm up this way. read more

This was a terrible experience. We were seated by the hostess at the bar. The bar area was dirty, had receipts and trash on it, and definitely wasn't ready for people to be seated. We ordered two drinks and half a pound of steamed shrimp. The drinks were weak and almost all ice. I saw them being made The shrimp took half an hour to arrive. When we complained that it was taking too long, the management didn't let us cancel the order. My boyfriend ordered another drink to hold him over while waiting for the shrimp, a strawberry pina colada. It was not drinkable. We left after that and went somewhere else to have dinner. Just an awful experience and I would never recommend anyone go here. Nice enough bartender but poorly run with poor management and bad drinks. read more

Hands down, the worst Fish Tacos I've ever had. There was a review on here from 2 years ago that called them "lettuce and cheese" tacos and that is still spot on. The flour tortillas were cold and stale. They put about a pound of lettuce and cheese on it to hide the 3 small little chewy pieces of fish. Save yourself the money and disappointment and just DO NOT order the Fish Tacos. Absolutely delicious! We came in with a party of 10 and everyone left full and happy. Food was very very good and the menu offered a large selection to please everyone. Started off with the loaded cheesy chips and they were devoured in a flash. Members of our party then enjoyed the Nashville chicken sandwich, crispy chicken salad, fish n chips, Gyro sandwich, pollo loco chicken, kids pizza, and chicken tenders and fries. We placed a $170 order. We went to pick it up and paid for it. We asked if we had everything as we were picking it up for a group. We were told yes, we had everything. After driving back to our house, we found out that 3 items were missing. My wife called them back and they started arguing with her. Finally we get our food and weren't even offered any type of discount for our trouble. To top it off, the food was mediocre at best. We decided to go to Bernies yesterday at around 6:00. We knew the wait would be at least 45 minutes because that's how everything is at dinner in the OBX. They told us it would be in hour so we went shopping and came back. We waited there for 10 more minutes after the appointed time and then asked if they remembered us or there was something else going on. They said it would just be a minute or two because they were cleaning our table now. We saw another family that had been waiting there for 10 mins go in before us to take the table they had just cleaned. After 15 more minutes we asked again and they said it would be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later they finally seated us. The waitress told us there would be a wait to ask for our drinks. After 15 minutes they finally asked us. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the food was pretty good, however the ridiculous wait and the lying staff is not worth it. read more
