We inquired about an estimate that was for a repair and a possible re-roof using our existing tiles. The estimate date was changed twice. They came out on 1/15/24 and said they would email the estimate. 1/18/24, and I hadn't received the email, so I called them. Meagan said the information was too large to send in an email. Said they needed to schedule a date to come out to talk to us. I had 2 other companies come out, and both of them emailed us. We are moving forward with the estimate from LaRoque Better Roofs. Called Berry roofing for an estimate on our home's roof Including our detached garage. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. She set us up with an appointment. Unfortunately she never told us the name or number of the guy coming out. So the day came around for him to come. Ernie showed up on time and got right to it. We told him straight out that we were looking into doing our garage for sure and just wanted to see the total with the house included. He said that wouldn't be a problem. He started taking measurements, going up on our main roof and taking pics of both roofs as well. He drafted the proposal for both roofs. Total cost 39,000. I almost died right then and there. It was 10,000-14,000 more from most of the other companies I had out and with very similar proposals. One company called Semper uses the exact same products as them and they were 10,000 dollars cheaper. It felt like a used car salesman trying to add more, more, and more. We even told him that was really pricey. He then tried to justify the cost with saying they use the best in the market. Again we told him remember Semper uses the same and quoted us a way better deal. We still told him to please send out the proposal to my email. So we could compare companies. He told us he sent it to my email. Unfortunately we didn't receive it. Now, after Ernie left my husband went on top of the roof and noticed that he had removed one of our attached shingles to take a pic. We were really upset that he would do something like that. As I stated before we had 4 different companies come out and had zero shingles missing our loose. My husband went up after each company came out. We just went through winds from hell not to long ago and had ZERO roofing issues. So we know for sure he messed with our shingles. So unprofessional and just plain rude! Since Ernie never sent the email. I had no way to contact him. So I called Berry roofing next to ask if they could ask Ernie to please contact us and to resend the proposal. Vanessa was very friendly and helpful. She said they had the email wrong. That she would contact him ASAP. So right away he sent it to the proper address. I replied to his email and addressed my concerns about him removing shingles from our roof, but got no response. Finally got a response the next day of him completely denying that he did it. I told him I wasn't looking for anything other than an apology for not respecting our property. So please BEWARE of this company and how they operate. Very disappointed that he felt the need to ruin a few of my shingles for his pictures. That's no way to treat customers! Overall OVERPRICED, strange sales pitch, and not trustworthy at all! After calling & getting a few different quotes(via drone or google) for our roof. We called Berry Roofing for an estimate on our 40 yr old roof. Marcus pretty much held our hands thru the process, coming out 3 different times to answer all of our questions. The options & costs he gave us along with other additional suggestions, left us really comfortable that we were making the right choice. The crew that came out with Gabriel were great. They came out on time ready to work & worked diligently to accommodate us & our 3 dogs. The crew even stayed late a couple of evenings just to be sure they would be complete when they said they would be. The roofer who came out was really nice, we didn't move forward because of the price but honestly it was strange when I booked the appt. The office lady told me both me and my husband would have to be present. I went ahead and booked it on a day I knew he was available but the lady kept asking me to go check with him. After confirming several times She said she needed to hear it from him... at that point I said look I handle his schedule if I said he will be there he will be there she said again okay I just want to make sure because it's a lot of info so he has to be there too... I said this is getting weird, I said he will be there so that's it. Day before appt I got a cal from the same office lady and she said hi I'm calling to confirm your appointment. Can you confirm the date and time (like it was a test)? I said I have multiple roofers coming which one is this so she said the date and time and I said yes we will be here. She said can I get a confirmation from Mr (insert my husbands name) that he will be present. I was thinking is she serious? So I said yes like I mentioned before he will be there. She said is he available to confirm (at this point im about to cancel it was getting weird) I just got off the phone. Not a huge deal but weird and I was hesitant to want to go with them for fear I would be harassed lol. Installed new roof then tore off 4 skylights on garage roof. Later promised via email to replace the skylights. Never happened. I asked the cost of such a job they told me $6,000. I declined, deciding to take the hit. This still feels bad, we are worse off now than when we started. The old/reinstalled skylights have cracks all over them! Avoid at all costs. read more

Pointed out a few items that needed attention that I was not aware of. Their quote was in the ballpark. Ended up paying a little more than the quote due to more repair work needed to replace more boards and fascia than anticipated ,of which I was made aware of at time of the estimate. They did a great job removing and installing the new roof . Did a fantastic clean up removing all the debris . Very happy with all the work they did. We could not have asked for a more professional crew that worked on our roof. Eddie, a great technician came in to give me estimate. He did mention that they were not the cheapest in town but they were highly trained. A few days later Berry emailed me to let me know he was going to take over my claim with my insurance since for some reason Eddie was no longer in the company. I specifically told berry that him and my insurance inspector had a meeting at the job site and he agreed to be there. 1 day before the meeting his secretary called to confirm the meeting. Next thing you know Berry never showed up. Then very unprofessional told me that the meeting was too early for him and that he didn't have time to let me know. I emailed him to please send over report to my insurance adjuster, til this day my adjuster has not received anything. Called several times to speak to him and always, same response from secretary " he will call you back" Very unprofessional, disappointing service and will definitely not recommend. read more

This is the second time using Berry Roofing. The first experience was absolutely perfect. Followup was good, communication was good and workmanship was good. The second time was just a little dissapointing to me. The follow up was not so good. I had to make several calls to the company to find out the status of my order. The young lady who answered the phone was very professional. The communication between us could have been a little better. I understand that the roofing business has been very busy due to all the unusual weather we have been having, however, please do not allow this busy season to cause the company to loose sight of keeping the customer informed. Workmanship could have been a little better, a tarp was on the roof prior to the start of work. The tarp was laid down by a professional company and they used large tracts to secure the tarp. Berry roofing employees removed the tracts and just left them on the floor for me to clean up. I am grateful for the work that Berry Roofing did and would more than likely use them again, lets hope I don't have to though. No more high and excessive winds.... The company is honest, professional, friendly and I was able to reach someone quite easily. I received pictures at the end of each day, so saw what they had accomplished. I did a lot of research before contacting any roofers because I already had solar panels installed that would have to come down and be re-installed, and I was leaning towards a metal roof rather than replace with shingle. Berry Roofing was the first company to come out and give an estimate. I appreciated the video review of my roof, and Ernie pointed out the areas that were beginning to fail. He explained my options and provided a quote. I informed him his was the first estimate, and I would have others over the next 2 weeks. Ernie followed up with me after that, and having reviewed the other estimates, I decided that Berry Roofing was the best choice. The deciding factors for selecting Berry Roofing were: at the first meeting everything was explained in as much detail as I needed, not all roofers install metal roofs (it takes special training/skill set), none of the other roofers would remove and re-install of my solar panels, and all the others were scheduling 4 months out whereas Berry Roofing was scheduling approximately 6 weeks out. Luis and the crew that did the actual work was awesome! They were here first thing in morning ready to work, very courteous and professional. They always ended the workday by doing a thorough clean-up of the property. How often does that happen with a home project!?! On the final day Luis and I did a walk-around, and it looked great! Geoff, the project manager, followed up with me doing a final inspection and making sure I was happy with the job. I am very pleased with my new roof and gutters! What a great experience we had with Berry Roofing. We had some issues with leaking in our garage along with 2 of our bedrooms in our home. We called and had someone come out to give us an estimate within 24 hours. In addition, after the inspection of the roof we were shown an actual video of the roof and the issues we needed to fix. The estimate was fair, competitive and the work was completed within two days of our initial call. In the coming week there was more than 4 inches of rain and we are as dry as can be. I just got my new roof installed last week. I just say that I'm very pleased with the work that was done. Very friendly customer service, professional and dependable. Eddie was my estimator and advisor and he is very friendly, knowledgeable, honest and straight forward. He advised me to have attic vents installed and I'm glad that I went with his advice.
