Hired them to clean my dads house which needed a deep cleaning. On the day of the service when they arrived they didn't want to come into the house because of hazardous materials and smell. I was really confused and dismayed by this comment but to be honest my dads house needs a cleaning bad and obviously I am calling a cleaning company that shows we are in need of a cleaning just to be honest but confused with a cleaning service decline to clean. Anyways they cancelled my appointment and remind you they cancelled the appointment and I figured that was it with this company. The following week I see on my bank account they are charging me a 100 dollar cancelling fee now remember I didnt cancel they did but they still charge me 100 bucks basically just for them showing up not doing the service. I thought that was really egregious and asked for my money back which they give me the line it's in our terms you agreed to. I agreed that if I cancel the 100 bucks fee is fine but you guys refused to do the service and then charge me a fee. These people need to rethink their business practices and not take advantage of people once you have their credit card information. Also they didnt tell me I was going to be charged at the time of the cancelation I had to look on my bank account and see they were really charging me. So be careful with this company if they show up and feel like there is something about your house they may refuse service but still charge you even if you don't cancel it would be up to them how is that fair. They brought three people to clean a 1 bedroom apartment that included carpet cleaning that my property management required. They finished just after 1pm and the apartment looked spotless. They clean my home so much better than I ever could, and always surprise me with how thoroughly they clean. Every person I have ever interacted with has been polite, efficient, and skilled. They're also easy to book and reschedule- I've had a couple instances where something went wrong with the scheduling or I booked the wrong day. The whole company is very customer friendly and easy to interact with from start to finish. Most of the cleaning team only speak Spanish, but don't let that deter you if you do not speak Spanish. I booked them to come do a deep clean when I was out of town...which sounded like a great idea at the time, but someone stole my lockbox (ripped the railing it was attached to out of the wall...gotta love SF) so the cleaning team couldn't access my keys when they got there. They were so patient and professional and waited for me to call a neighbor to let them in. I cannot address the regular cleaning service. I was searching for a cleaning company to do a move-out deep cleaning, and the price they quoted me seemed reasonable for 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and the kitchen and common areas of a 2BR condo. The 2-person team arrived and got right to work. And do I mean they worked. The 2-person team tackled the place like a Nick Bosa quarterback sack. And though the amount of cleaning required resulted in more time than they initially thought, they did not stop until everything was sparkling clean. Not only was I immensely impressed with both the work they did and their attention to detail, thanks to their work, I got my full deposit back. Pros: -they are super friendly and do a thorough job -seems like an ethical agency that pays living wages and provides for the cleaners -you can book online and reschedule easily -discount for a recurring reservation, and they will work with you to find something that works -you can book add-ons like cleaning inside the oven -you can leave keys with the office or let them in yourself -different cleaners available. All good, some really really great, and you can generally get the same cleaners if you really like some -easy to leave particular instructions in the booking that will recur unless you change them -deep and standard cleans -usually come in a team, which I appreciate for getting a thorough job done faster Cons: -this is probably inevitable given the whole, ethical, pays a living wage thing... but it is on the more expensive side! Paying more for the agency means you get the conveniences like booking online, vetting, insurance, and a staff of cleaners in case your regular can't come, but it is more than you'd pay otherwise. I definitely wouldn't use another agency but I could see switching to an individual at some point. -baseboards are a small extra add-on for the regular clean and I wish they were standard read more

Superb! Extraordinary! Amazing! I don't have enough superlatives for BerryClean-I am a first time customer and will definitely use them again! I don't typically do Housecleaning services because 1. I prefer to clean myself 2. It's costly 3. It sort of weirds me out (I'm the kind of person that would clean before they came) We are clean/neat people generally but every now and then you need a DEEP clean (all surfaces, stove, behind furniture, scrubbing floors, bathtub, etc). We'll typically do a housecleaning service once or twice a year for this type of job. With a new baby, we didn't have time to do this sort of cleaning and decided to hire BerryClean instead. I've tried other cleaners in the past (handy and Vital) with mixed results. Chose BerryClean because they are woman-owned and seemed like a righteous company that treated its employees well. The two women who cleaned our apartment arrived right on time and were courteous and professional. We left so they could have some privacy and came back 2 hours later to our apartment gleaming! When I tell you the tub looked cleaner than when we moved in AND the stove and stainless steel appliances were shining and our hardwood floors never looked so good! They cleaned every corner of our apartment and took down all trash, recycling and compost. We did a deep clean for our the rented house we live in before family came into town. We've lived here for 3 years and I'm pretty sure it was not professionally cleaned before we moved in, so there was a lot of work to be done.
