The man is a genius with carpet and we are so happy we could just patch the area instead of recarpeting. The patched area was a little bit of a different color because I asked him to use a section of carpet from the garage that we were using as an entryway mat. The classic story of "my dog ate my carpet" could not be more true in this case. Found Rock through Yelp and had to give him a call because of his excellent ratings. New puppy in the house chewed up a whole lot of carpet but Rock was able to mend it all back together. He estimated a four hour repair time but he was done very quick and i was thoroughly impressed with how well of a job he did! As a renter you always want your full security deposit back so I decided to get the cheap, improperly installed carpet repaired anyway. The repair was for a 5ft snag that was sucked up by the vacuum. Rock is seriously skilled! I needed my carpet repaired because I am selling my house and unfortunately I have a cat and dog that love to team up and damage it as much as they can. My dog pees on my carpet when he's upset so I had urine stains even after a professional steam cleaning. I also had bleach stains (that lightened after steam cleaning) since I bought a carpet cleaning spray that bleached my carpet and yes I know I should've spot treated first though I hadn't had any bleach problems with Nature's Miracle and wanted something more heavy duty. In addition to that, my cat pulled up three different corners of the carpet in doorways when he was unhappy about a door being closed. He responded the same day and gave me a rough estimate but because I had so many areas needing repair it was difficult for me to photograph everything and we decided that it would be best if he did an in-person consultation to give me a more thorough estimate. He came out the next day and gave me an estimate while discussing alternate options but I decided to hire him for the job because he is super knowledgeable, his prices are reasonable and I liked the "after" pictures from Yelp. Fortunately he was available the next day! He was great with communicating his availability and when he would be arriving. We had a giant carpet remnant in our garage so that was really helpful and he was able to use that. Since my damage was so extensive he worked from morning to afternoon and took a lunch break (which helped since we had a handyman consultation at our house during his break). Rock will tell you when he thinks he will need to do extra work. Under one urine stained area the carpet pad was soaked through so he told me about it and was able to repair that underneath area and disinfect it to get rid of the odor. Rock is very creative and skilled at repairing in a way that looks the most natural. We've had (very detail oriented) friends and family over recently and they haven't even noticed the areas Rock repaired, which is great because you don't want the repaired area to be noticeable! Upon seeing the reviews here I decided to call Rock for a carpet repair. I was so glad to find a specialist to perform this work that's in my area. Rock was very helpful over the phone and we made an appointment for the next morning. He showed up at the time we had discussed, and was extremely knowledgeable and explained all the options and recommendations to me. I felt very comfortable having him do my work. The 1st area that was badly stained with spots from the previous owner had to be cut out and repaired with a patch. I thought this would be impossible to repair it without recarpeting the entire area, but I was happy that Rock was able to repair it to the point were it doesn't bother me so much. The 2nd area in the kids' room, Rock was able to clean a portion of the stains off himself. Then he offered to show me how to properly do it myself so that he would not have to charge me. Very cool. The 3rd area had a rip which he fixed. After Rock finished the repair, it took me a minute to spot where the original rip was. Definitely not very noticable now. Then Rock pointed out a spot where the carpet was much lower than the tile at the entrance to the kids' bathroom. Rock is amazing ! A puppy chewed a hole into my carpet about an inch / inch and a half in diameter. I debated on whether to get it fixed or try to glue the damaged carpet so that the hole was less noticeable. I found Rock on Yelp. I phoned him and he explained the three different ways to fix the carpet, but he said he couldn't tell me which option he would use until he saw the actual damage. Another repair guy I called said that he would cut a piece of carpet from the closet and do the patch work to repair. This was one of the options that Rock mentioned, but I decided that since Rock gave alternative solutions, he seemed to be the man to call on the job. I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. Instead of damaging another part of my carpet by cutting a piece out of the closet, Rock did the more difficult job of stretching my carpet so that he was left with a smaller hole to repair by tucking the rest of the damaged part. Because of the stretching of the carpet, he was able to retrieve enough carpet, the "excess" to snip off and use as the "patch" for the hole. He truly did do an amazing job. No sight of the damage and he actually even fixed the gapping between my carpet and tiles....in other words, no more gaps; just like new. As a little bonus, Rock noticed the carpet fiber beginning to shred a little by a nearby door way. He ended up fixing that as well at no additional charge! Rock Rocks! After panicking trying to find a repairman in my area that fixes berber carpet, I finally found Rock. Everyone I had previously called said they could not fix this type of carpet. If you have a berber carpet, Rock is the best solution for you. He is the absolute greatest! A lot of websites said you have to pull carpet from the closet to fix snags for berber and I was really worried about doing that. I was thinking that it's going to be noticeable if I have a chunk of carpet missing from my closet. Thankfully, Rock had carpet in his truck that looked similar to ours and he used it to patch up the area he pulled the replacement carpet from so there wasn't a strip of missing fabric in our closet. When I contacted Rock, I asked him if the repair would be noticeable after he fixed it and he gave me a detailed explanation of how it would look afterwards which made me feel better going into the repair appointment. After the repair was made, you cannot see where the snagged carpet originally was! I was seriously amazed. I thought about fixing it myself by watching YouTube videos, but it looked difficult and I'm so glad I didn't because it would not have come out as good as Rock made it look. I called Carpet Repair a few months ago to stretch the carpeting in two rooms and a hallway. Rock gave me a fair quote via Yelp, He was on time, very pleasant, personable and well prepared. I was a little skeptical about the end result because some of the carpeting did not appear to be completely flat. He told me that was normal and, with time, it would flatten out. Well, he was right. When we recently had the carpet cleaned, the cleaned surface was completely flat. It only looked bunched up because it was dirty. It now looks like brand new carpeting. He met me at my condo with 20 minutes, and a little less than two hours later he was done! I had only called him to get rid of a small lump that has been there since the last carpet wash, but has been bothering the heck out of me. He not only got rid of the lump, but stretched the entire carpet end-to-end, redid the seam that was falling apart, and cleaned up the edges where the carpet met the kitchen floor, and sliding glass doors!
