FLAGSHIP* SHOP SERVICE * Flagship Meaning - A product or…read moreservice that is functional, beautiful, perfected over the years By Andrew Laboy April 3, 2026 Integrity, commitment, honesty, and customer service. These qualities are the facets that reinforce my trust and brand loyalty. For the past decade, despite living 45 minutes away, I've preferred driving or towing my car there instead of using a nearby mechanic. Even on the most hectic of days, the front-desk staff always welcome you with a cheerful smile. The BOSS, Howard, is very kind and will recommend only the necessary actions that you must take to fix or maintain your car. FROM THEIR OWN WORDS: Fair Repair Auto Care is dedicated to helping our community keep their vehicles running smoothly while saving money. We understand how essential your car is for daily routines, whether it's taking children to school or commuting to work. That's why we're here for all your maintenance and repair needs--from oil changes and brake service to engine and transmission repairs or replacements.

My engine locked up on me due to lack of oil and the company blamed me; stating that I "burned out the oil". No, my father was a mechanic and he warned me about oil burning out of a car blue or black smoke coming out of the exhaust and you can smell it in the AC ventilation system. Neither one happened because I didn't have any oil in the engine.

We are 3.5 hours away and it requires removing AC lines to get to it, so we opt to take it to a shop. We take it to Christian Brothers to have it replaced. They quoted $2500 to do the job which my husband stated was very high. We called a different shop and asked for a quote. They quoted $1300. As we were discussing towing her car to the new shop, Christian Brothers, stated they would match the new quote. While we were suspicious about this, we accepted. They called the next day trying to say they were worried they would break the AC line removing it and wanted my husband to approve a $700 increase to the quote, just in case. Nope. He gave them multiple suggestions on how to remove it without breaking it and told them to call us if they did break it. They didn't end up breaking it. When we got the bill it had unapproved charges on it. They did remive them after we pointed them out. Fast forward 4 weeks later, her car starts acting like the alternator is failing again. We have it towed back to the shop. We only took back there since they did the previous work and it was under warranty. Now apparently the crank shaft is leaking on the serpentine belt causing it to slip. They quoted us $1000. We just got the bill and again it was more than the quoted price and not just a little bit, $500 more. If it wasn't for my husband's car knowledge my poor daughter would have been taken to the cleaners by this shop. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this.

Called them to try and troubleshoot some issues I was having with my AC, and wheel bearings. They were helpful over the phone and in person. They were also able to replace my ABS sensor. Keith and Michael especially, communicated with me about pricing estimates, when the parts would be there, and provided me with updates when needed and when the parts were delayed. They didn't nickel and dime me for each little thing- very fair pricing. They were flexible with me around my schedule. Great service, I'll be using this shop for any future car needs. 10/10.

I originally booked this appointment based on the positive reviews and called beforehand to confirm…read morethat my vehicle could be diagnosed in a timely manner so I could plan transportation accordingly. The appointment was scheduled through my warranty company for an electrical issue involving my car's radio volume. I arrived at 11:15 a.m. and chose to wait at the shop because I had already missed a day of work and had taken an Uber from 45 minutes away. I was told the diagnostic test would take a couple of hours. By 3:30 p.m., I still had not received any update on my vehicle. I noticed my car had been sitting for some time, and when I asked what had been found and whether I could review the diagnostic estimate being sent to my warranty company, I was not provided any clear information. After asking multiple times for an update and a timeline, Matt, the store manager, became condescending rather than addressing my concerns. The owner, Jade ("J"), then joined the conversation. Instead of providing answers, he appeared unsure of the status of my vehicle and had to ask his staff what was going on. He then asked me to step outside, despite the fact that I had remained calm, respectful, and was simply seeking information about my vehicle after waiting for several hours. Outside, the owner stated that he felt "uncomfortable." I found this troubling, as I had not been loud, disrespectful, or confrontational. As a black man this is definitely not ok. Rather than acknowledging the lack of communication, the wasted workday, and the inconvenience of being without transportation, my concerns were dismissed. The conversation became more uncomfortable when the owner raised his voice. I calmly asked him not to do so, and although he later apologized, the overall experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. My frustration was never about the repair itself. It was about the poor communication, lack of transparency, excessive wait time, and the way I was treated when asking reasonable questions about my vehicle. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business.

I was driving from Pennsylvania to Virginia, on my way to Charlotte. I planned to stay overnight in a hotel in Virginia before continuing my journey. The place that did my oil change mentioned they couldn't reset the service reminder/error message on the screen. So, while I was driving to Virginia, my car kept flashing "Oil pressure low." It was 11 PM, and I had no idea where to stop. I assumed it was just the reminder not being reset, as the service provider had informed me. I made it to the hotel, but the next day, my car wouldn't start. It made loud knocking noises and had jumpy movements. I stopped and towed my car from Virginia to the BMW dealer in Charlotte. A couple of days later, the dealer called and informed me that the car didn't have enough engine oil--only one quart! They recommended replacing the entire engine and quoted a whopping $27,000 for a remanufactured engine. I was shocked! Even my 2016 car wouldn't resale for that price. Desperate for options, I called companies that buy cars with failed engines, and they quoted me $1,500. Then, THANK GOD, I called Euroenvy to check if they could replace the engine. They asked why I needed a new engine, and after explaining the issue, they quoted a price, and I approved the job. I then called BMW to release my car, and they offered to replace the engine for $19,000 with a used engine that had 79k miles. I declined and asked them to release the car. I towed the car to Euroenvy, thinking they were going to replace the engine. This is when the MIRACLE happened. Euroenvy called and said they weren't sure why I needed an engine replacement. They ran some diagnostics and asked me every single question about what had happened. After a thorough test run, they discovered that my engine didn't need replacement at all! The issue was a leaking oil drain plug, stripped by the first place that did the oil change. They fixed it, test-ran the car, checked for any leaks, and found none. They charged me $243 for the service, and my car has been running super fine ever since. In 2 weeks, the agony i went through is something cannot be explained (from $27000 to $19000 to $1500 to sell the car to now. This is not just about money. It is a combination of money + agony that we were going through the whole time. Euroenvy could have just replaced the engine as I already approved the job (BTW their engine replacement is way cheaper than the dealer) but they didn't do it. They did what was right and I just LOVE this place. Until I live in Charlotte, you will be my GO TO place for my car. In today's world, it's easy to find smart people, but honesty is a very rare quality. Euroenvy is a place that combines both smartness and honesty. You are the best, and I will never forget this experience.
