What a GREAT place! Friends told us to take our 2001 BMW M Coupe 170 miles to EuroEnvy when we started having engine problems during a group drive. They were so right! Tom and Shannon are very experienced with Audis, Mercedes, Minis and BMWs, especially BMWs with S54 engines like ours. They squeezed us in the same day, and Tom diagnosed it as needing a throttle position sensor - and he had one in the shop! They drove us to the mall to have lunch and hang out until the car was ready,and drove us back. Tom explained everything he did and gave us great information about other work we might want to do on our 24 year old car. I recently had quite an adventure with my car. It all started when I got my oil changed and had a state inspection done in another state. I was driving from Pennsylvania to Virginia, on my way to Charlotte. I planned to stay overnight in a hotel in Virginia before continuing my journey. The place that did my oil change mentioned they couldn't reset the service reminder/error message on the screen. So, while I was driving to Virginia, my car kept flashing "Oil pressure low." It was 11 PM, and I had no idea where to stop. I assumed it was just the reminder not being reset, as the service provider had informed me. I made it to the hotel, but the next day, my car wouldn't start. It made loud knocking noises and had jumpy movements. I stopped and towed my car from Virginia to the BMW dealer in Charlotte. A couple of days later, the dealer called and informed me that the car didn't have enough engine oil--only one quart! They recommended replacing the entire engine and quoted a whopping $27,000 for a remanufactured engine. I was shocked! Even my 2016 car wouldn't resale for that price. Desperate for options, I called companies that buy cars with failed engines, and they quoted me $1,500. Then, THANK GOD, I called Euroenvy to check if they could replace the engine. They asked why I needed a new engine, and after explaining the issue, they quoted a price, and I approved the job. I then called BMW to release my car, and they offered to replace the engine for $19,000 with a used engine that had 79k miles. I declined and asked them to release the car. I towed the car to Euroenvy, thinking they were going to replace the engine. This is when the MIRACLE happened. Euroenvy called and said they weren't sure why I needed an engine replacement. They ran some diagnostics and asked me every single question about what had happened. After a thorough test run, they discovered that my engine didn't need replacement at all! The issue was a leaking oil drain plug, stripped by the first place that did the oil change. They fixed it, test-ran the car, checked for any leaks, and found none. They charged me $243 for the service, and my car has been running super fine ever since. In 2 weeks, the agony i went through is something cannot be explained (from $27000 to $19000 to $1500 to sell the car to now. This is not just about money. It is a combination of money + agony that we were going through the whole time. Euroenvy could have just replaced the engine as I already approved the job (BTW their engine replacement is way cheaper than the dealer) but they didn't do it. They did what was right and I just LOVE this place. Until I live in Charlotte, you will be my GO TO place for my car. In today's world, it's easy to find smart people, but honesty is a very rare quality. Euroenvy is a place that combines both smartness and honesty. I first brought my 2016 Mercedes c300 into Euro Envy last year and will not take it anywhere else now. Prices are much more reasonable than the local (Charlotte) Dealership and they don't try to up-sell you or have unnecessary work done. They were able to diagnose and fix a petrol smell coming from the vehicle, as well as doing the general maintenance such as oil change etc. I'll be taking in back to them next month for a set of new tires - again at a reasonable price to fit! This place is an amazing little gem! Where can you get RELIABLE service with genuine parts, no one tries to "up sell" you, or treat you like you are "less than" because you're female and still save $700 over the dealership? No where but here. Look having an import is expensive. Just flat out. And when you spend money for a great car you just want someone to care for it like you do or better without taking a kidney for payment. This team is amazing. Professional and kind. So I bought my first European car approximately a year and a half ago and didn't really know what to expect. The place I bought it from was right down the street from Euroenvy and they encouraged me to take my car here for service. Not really knowing what to expect, I found that the Euroenvy staff was much more personable than local auto shops, which don't typically work on cars like BMW or Lexus. Obviously the cost to get a more expensive car worked on is going to be more expensive. But, this shop is still way cheaper than going to the dealership. What I appreciate most about Euroenvy is that they take the time to educate me about my car. Being that this is my first experience owning a German-made vehicle I'm still learning how things work. The mechanics here are always helpful and don't make you feel rushed if you have questions. The owner is terrific, helpful, and always willing to work with you with schedules. 5 Stars across the board! Fantastic place! I had a PPI done here and they are very knowledgeable. It is a breath of fresh air to be able to speak to a shop that actually knows what they're talking about. The PPI was the most reasonably priced one that I've ever had and by far the most informative. The vehicle I had inspected was a BMW and I felt they are true enthusiasts that have a passion for that brand. Vicky went over my PPI and was extremely knowledgeable herself with the brand and model I had inspected. I wish there was a shop like this in my town. Incredible experience. I was going to purchase a used car from a dealer near them and had a friend take the car there for a pre-purchase inspection. Being BMW experts, I had high expectations to begin with, but you should see the incredibly detailed and thorough report they sent me after inspecting literally every last detail on the car. From their findings, I learned that the car seller was asking way too much money and when they wouldn't negotiate on price, I had to pass on the deal. I called around 2 telling her I was on the way to drop my car off and she was very rude and told me not to worry about bringing my car at all because now she doesn't have time to do it . My advice is if you're looking for professional, customer service, check out EuroEmpire. They are much more respectable and provide customer courtesy. This is something EuroEnvy highly lacks. When customers pay their money, they are also paying for service. This was over a $1500 repair that I allowed them to perform on my behalf for this type of disregard, disrespect and lewd behavior which I received. Everything was fine until after I paid my money. I came in to have the navigation/radio fixed. After checking over the car to ensure everything worked properly, I noticed my dvd navigation disc was missing. I asked the technician about this and he informed me that it was stuck in my old unit. I asked if I could retrieve my disc and was told I'd have to pay $500. Not understanding the reason for this, I simply questioned why was this the case. At that time, Shannon which acts as the receptionist interjected herself into the conversation, as well as Tom the owner, whom I was not speaking to as the technician named Tony tried to explain. Tom and Shannon became aggravated because I did not understand their answer to my question. Tom rudely yelled at me and said, "It's called a core charge! And either you can pay us $500 or we can put the old non-working unit back in your car!" At this point, as a petite 5 ft female weighing less than 115 pounds standing alone against 3 people who work for the shop, I felt attacked. Tom then yelled, "You don't need to be here anyway and proceeded to shut the door on me while I was standing there speaking with the technician. Luckily, I have the conversation recorded on my phone. I went into the shop to inform the other costumer of something because we had been conversing about something prior to this situation. Shannon aggressively approached me in front of the customer telling me to leave off the property and pulled out the phone asking for the sheriff's contact number. I received an email from Carfax to write a review on my experience at the shop and I was truthful. The shop owner, Tom, or whomsoever is representing EuroEnvy blatantly lied in response to my review and stated that I came back in the shop to harass a customer then ran out of the shop. They also fabricated a lie claiming I threw my hands in Tom's face who is about 4 times my size. This could be revered as "assault" which I am not guilty of. Since they have cameras, I'd be curious for them to pull the tape for this fabricated lie. I simply stated to Tom that since he was being belligerent with me to disengage with communication with me. He refused and kept yelling at me props to closing the door on me. He seems not to have any decorum when it comes to professionalism. I've spoken to others whom have encountered his uncouth demeanor and their sentiments seem to be the same as mine. Also, another fabrication in response to my carfax review is that it was understood that my dvd could become stuck. After driving from Washington, DC I pulled off the interstate at my exit, and experienced total loss of accelerator petal control. I "Googled" for a repair location, and called Euroenvy. I had the GREAT good fortune of getting the owner on the phone. He arranged a tow, stayed after hours to receive the car, drove us to our hotel, and had the damn thing repaired by noon the next day. The analysis of the issue was fast and correct, the repair was speedy, and the price was more than fair.
