Woke up one morning and randomly decided to drive to Julian for pie. Saw a sign for tattoos as I was walking to my car to head home and decided to get a new tattoo. Walked over to the studio to check it out and see if the vibe was right. Met Shane who was super nice and chill. The shop was clean and well kept. Told him what I wanted and a few minutes later I was getting a new tattoo. It was a pretty easy one so it took more time to set up than to do the actual tattoo but I had a great time chatting with Shane through out the process. Was in town for a weekend with the girls in Julian. Decided I wanted to get just one tattoo for my grandfather who recently passed away in my Aunts handwriting. We looked on YELP to see what was around and the ratings and etc. We ended up finding this hidden gem in town and went. Immediately you walk in and it's a super clean, organized and gorgeously designed space. The young man at the front counter was named, Shane and greeted us and was super nice. Amazing vibes from him. I showed him exactly what I wanted and he did just that. Extremely detail oriented and was extremely gentle. I left super happy! It was such a fun experience with him. I no later than 24 hours decided to go back before we left our trip for a second! I called and asked if he was in, they said yes and we went over. I walked in and he was so nice and even stopped working on a drawing to do my second tattoo. It's at this point I asked how long he's been doing it and found out he owns the studio. So super freaking cool I got the owner to do both tattoos. As your laying there getting the work done, all other artists are super supportive and friendly. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Shane! Shane, thanks so much again for your patience with us girls and letting us walk in both days while you were busy. It was the highlight of our trip and was such a good memory for us! Great experience at Berserker (Fawn House) Tattoo Studio! They accommodated me as and end of day walk-in with no problem...I was able to text the artist my idea and he worked on it while I drove over. Everyone was friendly and the studio itself has a cool vibe. Great place to get some work done if you are a local or just visiting. Had a great experience here getting my "first" professional tattoo. I came up with a custom design for a memorial tattoo and worked with Shane. He cleaned up my sketch and added his personal touch to it. Extremely talented guy and super light handed, crispy perfect linework. Every other tatt I got from other non experienced artists felt like razors dragging into my skin. The shop has a friendly vibe, everyone who works there is easy going and welcoming. Where do we start! We got married, and decided to hire Rachel for our wedding day! It was the perfect day of celebration + body art, and Rachel and Shane were an absolute hit! They worked so hard, non-stop throughout the day + night due to so much demand, and never once did they fault on design, these were high class tattoos done in pretty good time. I made and confirmed an appointment here. Scheduled my whole day around this appointment, and arrived to find that a walk in was being worked on and my appointment would be at least an hour later than planned. I was told if I couldn't come back an hour later that I would be messaged with a reschedule the next day. When that didn't happen and I messaged voicing my disappointment. I was told that all concentration was focused on the current client, which is why I was being dismissed. I understand that. When I questioned why I hadn't been contacted to reschedule I was told she wouldn't do my tattoo because of my attitude. Apparently requesting this business to follow through with appointments and agreements is too much. And Michelle D, I would have loved to have reviewed work done, post Covid. I was unfortunately not allowed to do that because my appointment was never treated in a professional way. I'm happy Rachel has so many friends to go on Yelp on her behalf, though. Good for her.
