Dutch was great. He was the one who pierced our noses. Very calm, kind and informative. I would describe the pain as a 2/10, IF THAT! He was very good and mentioned he'd been doing tattoos for 15+ years. Dropped off a start because when we walked inside, there were 3 guys chillin with their feet kicked up and didn't acknowledge us at all until I said something. They just looked at us smh. THEEENN told me the piercer so isn't be in until 4pm!!! We got there at 1pm and drove there from Chula Vista!! I was recommended to Dutch Touch by a good friend for a daith piercing to help with headaches and motion sickness. As someone who only has the run of the mill ear lobe piercing (that I had done at age 16) the idea of cartilage piercing was somewhat unnerving. But struggling with motion sickness my entire 39 years of life I decided it was time to try something to help. I arrived close to 6pm (which was when the piercer was going home I was told earlier in the day) it was a busier than expected day with kids and such so I was expecting to be asked to come back later. Which would have been fine, except we are about to enter another Covid lockdown and I'm planning on wearing a helmet to dune over New Years (so hoping they let me in!) I was greeted by Seth who had me fill out the paperwork while he prepared the supplies in a private room. Once I had filled everything out he showed myself, my husband and my BFF into the room where there was plenty of room for all of us and room to spare. Seth was very welcoming and even is a duner himself so we had a lot to talk about which really took my mind off the impending metal object about to be shoved into my ear lol. The piercing itself was hardly painful at all! I was more scared that I needed to be and honestly I would go back for the other side if I needed to. Now here's the part where I nearly pass out-so I haven't eaten dinner yet and I sit up and feel kinda woozy, Seth asks me how I'm feeling and asks to see my face so I show him my face and mouth and he asks if I've eaten. Apparently the stress of the idea of piercing has made me release adrenaline and drops my blood sugar significantly, he quickly gets me something to raise my blood sugar and gets a paper towel wet with cool water and has me lay down while he gently dabs the back of my neck and my forehead. He doesn't rush me or anything and talks to me about the desert some more while making sure I'm improving. I sit up again and still don't feel well so he offers me cold water to sip and to lay down again for as long as I need. He was genuinely just kind and patient and such an above and beyond level of care and knowledge about what to do. My piecing was tender for a couple hours but I honestly don't even know it's there. I can lay on the side that it's on if I need to and I'm confident I will be able to wear my helmet in a few weeks as well. So far I have not had a headache or motion sickness (my husband made me turn around in the car lol).
