Let me start off by saying I work in the restaurant industry so I understand when it's busy/short staffed. Anyways, i came in yesterday with my friend and after being sat, it took 15 minutes for someone to come over and ask what we would like to start off drink wise. then our food took even longer while other larger tables (that came in after us) were served BEFORE us?? we had a young guy as our server, he was nice and attentive but there had to be at least 3 other servers working and just not helping him at all, they seemed miserable as well. our food was good, we both got pasta but our drinks were strong and tasteless, the energy in the restaurant seemed very angry and i won't be returning which is sad because I used to love this restaurant. read more

My first stop for food in the east coast always! Such good food. The rolls they give are so fresh and warm, and they give a delicious olive oil dip with seasonings in it. Very friendly staff from as soon as we entered to when we exited. Our server Derek did a great job being efficient but not rushing us. The food was great I got the Sporkie Calzone that was great. I love Bertucci's. Plenty of parking in this strip mall. Very large restaurants and definitely known for their pizza which we did get a small size. Started off with their fluffy complimentary bread with oil and spice. They were warm and delicious. The chicken wings was a surprise and cooked well and reminded me of home cooking wings, very simplistic but packed with salt and flavor. Pasta dishes are always a go to. read more

My table was dirty. I waited way too long to get a drink or menu like over 10 min. My chunk salad was drenched in dressing ...the pizza was like eating raw dough like you cooked it in a microwave. It was the worst pizza I ever had . My wife or I didn't finish 1 slice each! I would never go there again! read more

The Chicken Piccata was so delicious and the lunch special was more than enough. The specials were such a good deal I could treat my friends that are always so good to us. I like the food but the service is bad. I waited a long time to be seated until I had to ask. Then the waiter did not offer good service. He was not attentive. First, I waited for a long time to be served. I was not served water with my coke drink, which is typical. Then, the table was not cleared with the old dishes after I was finished with them and they kept piling up. I would wait a long time for my coke refills and I would need to keep asking. The warmth from the brick oven greeted us when we entered Bertucci's on a chilly winter night. Octavio, our server, brought delicious warm rolls and olive oil, and then took our orders efficiently. When we were first sat, the table and bench were dirty. II used the napkin wrapped around my utensils to brush the food crumbs off. That was when I noticed my utensils were dirty. I grabbed another set from a nearby table. Those were also dirty. Third times the charm? No, but by the fifth set I had a winner. Then I ordered a Grateful Dead (a Long Island ice tea with Chamord instead of soda). Then I was told they could not make the Grateful Dead because they lacked some ingredients. The drink menu listed lame drink specials that included the ingredients needed to make a Grateful Dead. Regardless, I ordered something off the menu and was sadly disappointed. My wife ordered salad and many of the ingredients were past their dues dates. I ordered spaghetti in meat sauce with meat balls. It was bland. I have never had spaghetti sauce that lacked flavor. All in all, we were very disappointed in the food and the dingy atmosphere. It will be a long time before we go back there again. read more

My friends and I decided to take our single selves out to eat on Valentines day. After sitting at our table for 40 minutes without a server even coming over to ask what we wanted to drink, a server came over and rudely asked us what we wanted. The servers only came over after they saw we were getting mad. We believe this is because of our age; we are teenagers and we saw another group of three elderly people who got their rolls within 5 minutes of sitting down after we had already been waiting for 15. I find it very disrespectful how we were pushed away because they felt we wouldn't cause problems, and they only came over after they saw we were becoming extremely annoyed. We finally receive our food after 30 more minutes of waiting. The chicken is chewy and tastes fake, and the spaghetti is mixed with oil rather than the butter we asked for, and we had to wait another 10 minutes for the cheese we asked for when ordering. I am outraged by the horrendous service we have received. I will not be coming back to this location. read more

DELICIOUS!!! My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here at the Braintree Bertucci's. We started with insalata which was nice, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing & wings were beautifully decorated with rosemary sprigs, diced tomatoes & lemon wedges. They were very tasty. My husband had the Sausage & Caramelized onion pizza, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of toppings. I had the Rigatoni Abruzzi it was absolutely perfect! Lots of sausage, roasted peppers with a nice pomadoro sauce. I would highly recommend this Bertucci's. read more

I have a weakness for chicken parmesan. I am not sure I will ever have it from this place again. When I have ordered it before I have had to ask for "extra" tomato sauce because they serve it with NO sauce. This has happened to me many times over the years. Recently I ordered through DoorDash which did not allow any notes to ask for sauce. It was dry pasta that had been exposed to tomato sauce at some point, with the chicken on top. To be fair, it all tasted great. But how does an Italian restaurant stay in business when it never puts any tomato sauce on the pasta? Unbelievable. read more

My family recently went for dinner at Bertucci's. It was extremely disappointing. The pizza we had was definitely not made to order, but tasted like it was leftover from lunch and had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. It was dry, hard and burned in places, in addition to being served at room temperature. The eggplant parm was good but there wasn't enough sauce on the pasta. The only highlight was the limoncello mascarpone cake for dessert. Definitely not worth going back. read more

I am an 82 year old male that has been to Bertucci's many times in Braintree and Rockland always great. I now live out of the area. I was in Braintree today and decided to go to the Braintree store with my wife and adult daughter. We were seated 10 minutes later our waitress came so I asked for a menu and was told they do not provide one that you need to scan a panflit on the table. I told her I didn't have such a thing and wouldn't know what to do. The manager Ken came and refused to give us any kind of menu. The waitress told us some of what was on the menu so that we were able to eat. I can not believe that the rood manager couldn't bring us something to see what meals were available. So my wife and I can only eat at Bertucci's when we travel because they do not have any in San Antonio. Tonight was the absolute worse example of customer service I've experienced in years. After 15 minutes of waiting to be seated and asking 3 different people, one was the manager who we asked twice, to seat us, we left. As we were leaving we asked for the GM's contact info and they said just call the restaurant and ask for Mike. Terrible experience. We used to come here often when I was younger. The last few times I've tried it's been terrible. My mothers food came out ice cold/frozen after the waitress basically told us it comes in a bag precooked. Then when we told the manager he didn't apologize just took the food for 20 minutes and brought it back after everyone else had finished their meals...with her meal being so hot that it was inedible as the oil had separated from the cheese and was basically now a dish of oil...didn't take it off the menu or apologize once! How is it in these times that when you go through the trouble of setting up a reservation, it's not honored? "A 20 to 30 minute wait", being said to not only to those with a reservation, but to people simply walking in without reservations. What is the point? Bad management. Should've went to UNO's down the street. I would recommend take out. They seemed short staffed at dinner on the weekend. The server was slow with refills and our needs. By the time she brought the pepper- my pizza was already gone. The bread took a while since there was none already made. You had to ask for extra napkins and refills if you needed them. I saw another server spill food on another customer. Food was good anyways. The only reason I am giving a 1 star Is because the waitress was great otherwise if I could give zero stars I would. I was expecting more from such a busy area but I am sad to say that a local pizza/sub shop has better quality food. We came in the mid afternoon after what would of been lunch but too early for dinner. They were busy which I took as a good sign that the food at this location was decent. Boy oh boy was I wrong. The rolls were the typical Rolls Bertucci's is known for so that was a given. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, husband a Caesar salad with chicken and our daughter got the Mac and cheese. Both of our pasta dishes were watery and lacked any flavor. I had to add pepper and some salt and only had 3 smalls strips possibly 2oz. of chicken on both my pasta and my husbands salad for a $6 up charge on each. Highway robbery IMO. We would of complained but due to the busyness the waitress did not check back for awhile nor was she the one who served the actual food - not her fault. That location has went really down hill and no excuse for the lack of quality even if they re busy. They should be trying to do better than Panera which was next door and we could of went there but I always remembered that Bertucci's had excellent Alfredo. I hope they get new chefs, management or whatever is causing their quality of food to go downhill and for such high prices it's a shame. read more

We went for theirs 80s menu and the place was packed with a wait list. Was nice to see it busy again. It's usually quiet whenever we went. Slight wait for a table and was seated at a booth by a very busy but pleasant manager. She did a great job amongst the chaos. Kudos to the management staff that was working hard all around with one doing double duty as a busser. Most of the servers and food runners were smiling even though it's probably been quite some time since they had a super busy restaurant. The food was also on point except the salad. We got the Antipasto Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette, Pepperoni Pizza also Rigatoni, Chicken and Broccoli. Antipasto Salad was way over dressed and arrived so wet that eating it wasn't enjoyable (Order salad with dressing on the side in the future). We just picked out all the non lettuce items and ate that instead. The Pepperoni pizza was cook to almost perfection (the previous week it was quite under done) so we were super excited to eat it. The Rigatoni, Chicken and Broccoli was delicious also and the sauce was cook just right (had it at times were it was watery and bland) and with enough sauce to cover ingredients completely. Broccoli and the pasta was a bit past al dente but still ok. We were full but saw the cannolis going by and we had to get one to try. It is a huge chocolate chip cannoli with chocolate drizzle and cocoa dusting. I would been happy with a plain cannoli since all the add ons were a bit sweet for me. Our server was pleasant but only checked in on us twice (others brought our food) but it was a busy dining room. Thank goodness our main dishes were cooked well. This experience will get me back to dining in there more frequently again since it helped me move past the previous bad visits. We mainly do takeout.
