We showed up with a group of 10. Yes, we called ahead. Our waiter did a wonderful job keeping track of everyone's different orders and got them all right. The bar had some trouble. First a cocktail for one of the party was made wrong. Then another request was out of stock, as was their second choice. Then a wine requested was also unavailable. Bad day at the bar. Beer on tap was working, so there's that. Food runners dropped off apps to the wrong people which caused some confusion. The waiter brought a pizza that was not to his liking, so he left it and told the recipient he was ordering a remake. He was right. The remake looked totally different. We gave the waiter a heads up before ordering that we were splitting the check. With a large party that's just polite. Don't make your waiter spend twenty minutes after the fact trying to split your bill. The food was tasty. Salad is huge. Plenty of pasta with your entree. In the end, we had an enjoyable visit. Liesha Cleanliness: clean Bathrooms: Didn't have a chance to use. Time of week and day: Sunday/dinner crowd The longer explanation: Arrived here around 5:45 and was seated immediately. I'm not sure if this is a chain restaurant or a family owned place however the experience was exemplary. Liesha came to the table in a minute after I was seated with warm rolls and seasoned olive oil for dipping. I asked for water and wanted her food recommendation. (No pizza, please) She started with the popular dishes that are the crowd favorites but ended with what she enjoys (Baked Chicken Gratinati) and it didn't disappoint! It was a flavor carnival for the tastebuds. Pasta was cooked perfectly in a silky cream sauce. An appropriate amount of chicken seasoned just right with the beautiful texture of fresh diced tomatos and basil to top it off. The portion was hearty, so much that I had 2 bites left and asked for a to-go container. Who wants to throw away something so delicious? I wanted dessert too because, why not? I had the lemon mascarpone cake which was lovely as well. My water was always filled and Liesha returned numerous times to check on me. She was very accommodating and even took a moment to listen to my story of "table, party of one" I enjoyed the experience so much that I asked to talk to the manager. He was very welcoming as well, especially not knowing why I wanted to see him. Kids meals are still great though the free hoodsie cups are no longer provided. Seems the menu changes have been designed to increase revenue. I got takeout last weekend, 2 large pizzas and they were terrible. They weren't stretched out to a large size and were more on the small/medium size and overcooked. They didn't even taste like the traditional bertuccis pizza that I know. Even the rolls were overcooked and hard as rocks! So disappointing. It's a chain but the rolls are still great. Nothing eats hot rolls brought to the table when you sit down. Basically Bertucci's is a chain Italian place. They have the classics. Their pizza is decent. I like the personal size for lunch. I've had a number of other dishes. Nothing bad about them. Just chain restaurant quality food. You know what you are getting when you come here. It's nice for consistency and the staff are nice and the restaurant clean. Best pizza ever? No. But also far from a bad pizza as well. I didnt think it was possible for a restaurant to go below 1 star but here it is, this sad establishment Bertuccis has slowly declined into the abyss of chains that once made a name for themselves and now have turned into absolute dumps of bad service, horrible food and an all around place that needs to close. We went here out of sheer desperateness on a Friday night with kids and attempted to get a somewhat decent meal. What a mistake, this place is a disorganized mess of haphazard servers, a hostess that was clueless and undercooked food. First off the rolls in the place were delivered halfway right before the meal and were still raw dough inside due to being pulled out to early. The server was clearing off plates during our meal which was the most annoying, stupid thing to do I have ever seen. The pasta here is something out of a can or worse, a frozen dinner with no sauce to be seen. The kids mac and cheese was a drowning mess of just sauce and this was a travesty of epic proportions. What a terrible place to eat and the service was some of the worst I have seen. The waiter in the end basically threw the check at us and walked away, I mean absolutely rude and disrespectful. The restaurant looked typical as we come to expect, but all the food promotions were not there, things looks out of place so I googled and found out Bertucci's was sold to the Planet Hollywood group, and it looks like they are just mailing it in. In full disclosure I am retired not but spent 50 years in the food and Hospitality World. I have not been in since before Covid and it seems as if everything was the same. The food prices even higher? They come across as authentic Italian but we've been to Italy several times, just returned from Florence, Town of PISA and Milan. They used to have a Corporate chef but no more I'm sure..just the obligatory so called quasi celebrity chef partnering on I don't know what? We spent $100+ on dinner and what a waste. Rolls terrible, Meatballs served all chopped up, not the nice balls they used to make? Tomato sauce made with cheap tomatoes or so it seamed. Side dishes Roasted Potatoes$11 bucks ans other simple sides priced the same and higher, all deserts in the $11 plus range, and these chains all buy their desserts. My wife ordered cheese ravioli at $22 bucks, easily two portions. I had the pathetic Chicken Picatta (I make often at home) and it appears they somehow "deep fry" the chicken? It came out and tasted like fried chicken? They don't know how to finished this dish, sauce of just was non existent, tiny amount of capers, no lemon flavor presence, they could have even plashed some white wine in there, no butter, some add a pinch of cream to bind and hold the whole butter, no parsley, no salt, no pepper, no cheese. Lousy cooking)! Its an easy dish to make "ala minute"!, but they are not cooking there, just slopping things together. Lots of unflavored Spaghetti, like a double portion? These chains charge a lot, I think it was $25, so they double up on thinking to provide value but it was horrible. The menu was typical American/Quasi Italian but certainly nothing I have seen in Italy. What all restaurants serve there is Spaghetti Vongole, Lots of Veal (Saltimbocca) dishes, high quality Steaks and value...you can buy a first class Pizza Marguerite for 5 eu in Amalfi, and typically 8 eu at other places. IT seems as though American Chains want to stick it to consumers and we wont be back. They have been closing some of their restaurants and only have 23 left I believe, For Gods sake simplify your menus, adjust prices, do more actual cooking, invest in training, etc lest you become another Sears in closing its just family dining, nothing else, and we don't want to Pay $100+ for a lousy dinner for 2??? read more

Tick tick tick. This place is a disaster and I would assume based on what we experienced it doesn't have long to remain open. We went to the Mansfield l9cation on Thursday evening around 730. The restaurant was pretty much empty. When the waitress finally seated us all the tables around us were a mess. They were never cleaned off. Our waitress came and took our drink order. When she returned she took our order. We got the wings which were on special. My wife got a salad with grilled chicken, my daughter got a pizza and I got the farmers salad. The waitress returned after a while with our entrees. She asked if we were all set and we told her we didn't have the wings. She said she would grab them and bring them over. The waitress left and my wife realized there was no dressing on her salad. We waited and waited. Our waitress or any waitress were nowhere to be found. Finally my daughter was going to the rest room which was by the kitchen and she saw the waitress and reminded her about the dressing and wings. She said she would bring them right over. My daughter came back and still no dressing or wings. Meanwhile my daughter and I were almost done with our dinner. My daughter got back up and went to the kitchen and asked AGAIN! the waitress asked another waitress to bring the dressing over. When she dropped it off I asked to speak to a manager. He came over after a couple of minutes and filled him in. He apologized and said she was new. My question is why did they leave her on the floor alone? Why wasn't he around to see all the tables that weren't cleaned up? He asked if we still wanted the wings...LOL! We asked for the bill and he was so kind to take the pizza off the bill. He promised the next time we came in he would give us the best waitress. Unlikely we would ever return. My guess is their doors will not be open long! I also reported this to their home office. We were here last Saturday evening to celebrate my daughter's Graduation . 18 of us in the back room . We were seated early and everything was wonderful . Can't say enough how great Madalyn was. She was a pro and dealt with all of our requests! The best part of the night was the honesty of Madalynn and her manager. Because we had a large group, the gratuity was added. April20th, 2024 ... I haven't been to bertuccis in forever but they sent me a birthday coupon so for family dinner tonight we decided to give it a try again. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE . Like I said haven't been there in a very long time, AND apparently the pick up orders have a separate entrance now and I had no clue cause the sign was blocked. Anyway, I went in the main door & the hostess greeted me and said it's in the back & pointed over to the bar area. So I started walking there, thinking ok maybe pick ups are at the end of the bar. I saw no inside signs for pick ups in the area so I turned to ask the bartender, who seriously avoided me for two mins and then finally said to me " it's back over there thru a different area" with such a rude ass attitude ... THEN as I turn to go there, she turned to other customers at the bar near me and goes " it's not like we don't have signs everywhere" and chuckled rudely & made a face. She's lucky I'm absolutely exhausted from just having surgery or I woulda said something !! Rude for no reason. Like I was truly ruining your day ?! Food wise; Nothing special at all, the chicken parm was sooooo over cooked, it was almost black. And all the food had zero flavor!!! Terrible cook. Same thing with the calzone !! Ordered takeout, when we walked into the restaurant we waited with another family that had already been there prior to us coming in and waited 5 minutes. The family left because there was no hostess in sight. Then I had to ask a waitress at the bar about our takeout and she told us to go to the corner of the restaurant that gives the takeout. My family is Italian so yes where pizza snobs haha but I had never gone to this one, it was our first time and let me tell you it was fantastic and we would go back there 100 times. The pizza was cooked perfectly, the sauce was sweet and can we just talk about the delicious warm bread you get with olive oil( hardly any places do that now) the waitress was super nice and we got to sit outside due to COVID-19. Went to Mansfield crossing last night (Thursday). Just when I thought it could me possibly get better, it did! The pasta meat sauce was the "BEST" to date. We usually like this location, but my mom and I came in for lunch today (Saturday at around 1:30pm) and has a really weird experience. We had noticed it was strangely empty. There were only a few parties, so we figured service would be quick. We stood in the lobby with one large party in front of us, and there was not one employee in sight. No host came by to seat them or us. We didn't even see a waiter walk who we could ask. After standing there for a few minutes, we decided to sit at the bar. We sat for another 5 minutes. We were the only ones there, and there was no bartender. Nobody came by to serve us, and again. We didn't see a single wait staff we could ask either. We figured it was only going to get worse from there so we left. After 10 minutes of being ignored and not seeing any employees in the restaurant, we left to have lunch somewhere else. So bizarre. We almost thought they were closed, it was the strangest thing. PS I totally understand that restaurants are often short staffed, but the restaurant was a ghost town, and there certainly wasn't anyone rushing around. So I don't think that was the case here. read more

When I called in I verified they had curbside because I was going to have a pet in the car so I could not leave them. I get there and the phone system goes in a loop. Main menu, press one for curbside, ring a half dozen times, and main menu again. I do this five more times then have to give up, I guess the bird and I are going in (hate to do that because its a health code violation but Im stuck now) Fortunately it wasn't busy in there so only one other customer saw it. So we get the pizza and take it home and its a made. The ingredients are all in a pile in the middle and most of the pizza is just bare hard crust with a little sauce covering it. No place with any pride would have let that out the door. No chef with any pride would have even stuck it in the oven done that way. This is not a place that gives a hoot. read more

The food is average. About what you'd expect from a corporate place. We got 2 small wood fired pizzas. The crust was thin and crispy just like we wanted, but the sauce had little flavor and the cheese was light. The saving grace was our server!!! I was in the business for decades so I am particular about service. Tercia M (as written on my receipt) was FANTASTIC! Prompt, efficient, friendly. She tried to up sell. Here's our story: We go to this place quite often for takeout. My fiancé ordered Bertucci's online at 5:30 PM, to be ready for pick up by 6PM. He ordered a Spaghetti pomodoro with rigatoni and a chicken parmasean with rigatoni. When he got there at 6, he had to wait. Fine. He had to wait an extra 35 minutes until the order was ready. Whatever. He stuck around long enough to notice 2 people that arrive before him and 4 people that arrive after him get their food and leave before him. All because more time was needed for chicken parm. Strike 1. He was told that our bread rolls came with oil, but it didn't. He drove all the way back without checking the bag becuase he trusted them. Strike 2. He got a Spaghetti pomodoro with NO pomodoro. Basically a box full of plain pasta. Because he trusted this Bertucci's. AND they kept the chicken parmesran with spaghetti. No rigatoni. Went yesterday for lunch, waited 8 minutes to be seated. . Told Waitress Giovanna that we only had an hour to eat, no problem. The bread and salad was delicious. Husband had sandwich and fries, his was good. I ordered the Chicken parm with rigatoni, big mistake, big mistake big mistake. First bite of chicken tasted burnt with a soggy crust on all of chicken. Was just awful, tried the rigatoni, sauce was watery and had no herb seasoning at all. The sauce tasted like crushed tomatoes out of a can. I did not eat anymore. My boyfriend and I went to Bertuccis at approximately 7:30pm on a Saturday night. There was still a buzz in the bar for a bit, and unfortunately the bartender was seemingly alone. She was making drinks, busing, running food, and taking orders while the manager sat with friends and family as she *sank* with work. Being the only people at the bar at one point, we figured service would improve but things actually got worse. The soup was cold and in a portion that was, as someone has already pointed out "highway robbery", the shrimp on my farmhouse salad ended up making me ill, my boyfriends shrimp Rossini was what he called "spaghetti made in a dishwater sauce", all while spending an exorbitant amount of money. We typically enjoy going out to eat as a treat, and we are now so jaded by this overall experience we are taking a hiatus from eating at restaurants (except probably 1-2 go to, shout out to Davenports!). Just be aware--you can get a pizza and salad at your local house of pizza that would probably be far superior and less expensive. And you won't feel like you are interrupting your servers and bartenders from catching up with old friends or making themselves drinks at the bar while you run dry on a tasteless $9.00 sangria.
