Very disappointing experience at Beryozka in Rocklin. Today I bought bread that was clearly presented as fresh. It was even warm when I purchased it, which made it seem like it had just been baked. However, when I got home, it became obvious that the bread was actually several days old and already stale. It seems like the bread may have been reheated to give the impression that it was fresh, which is very misleading to customers. If a product is not fresh, customers should be told the truth instead of being misled. Selling old bread while presenting it as fresh is not acceptable, and it makes me seriously question the overall quality and honesty read more

My boss sent me on an errand here to pick up 20 kabanosy sausages, 1 lb of gouda, and 1 lb of Lithuanian cheese, and 10 dadu ice cream cones. I felt so bad for taking up the line because it was my first time in a place like this and I was kind of mesmerized! They have everything here from baked goods, fruits & veggies, candies, cookies, meats, and cheeses and it's a great market - just slightly tight though because of their vast inventory/limited physical space. I'm giving them a perfect review because despite the language barrier, the nice woman didn't get frustrated with me, pulled out a translation app, and helped me get everything on my list and the customers waiting behind me were also very kind! I can't wait to return during my own time to shop around for myself or loved ones - this place is a hidden gem! read more

I bought some groceries today and usually I shop in this store. Before buying sausage (svadebnaya kolbasa) I asked person at register if it was fresh and she said yes. So I bought it and after I came home I took out this sausage to put in a fridge it was very sticky/slimy and smelled not fresh so I throw this straight into garbage. I don't have time to go back and return this so people be on alert that this store sells Not fresh food that need to be thrown away but they sell it anyway. If I can I will not give even 1 star. I have been going to this store for years, clean, excellent cheese and meats as well as bread and candies.

The workers here are RUDE, they could care less about customer service . I will avoid this store if possible ( unfortunately it's the only European store in Roseville/Rocklin area). Also the other European stores in Citrus Heights/Sacramento are much cheaper ( like 30%). Furthermore watch carefully when they ring in your items at check out, I've been overcharged before . Wish there was another European store in placer county and I could boycott this store completely . Customers are not a priority for the owners here. read more

The kid working on 7/19 around 1:45 needs to learn some decent human communication, let alone customer service. He lunged the kalbasa on the scale and had a passive aggressive attitude the entire transaction for no reason. It was so odd and uncomfortable. While it's nice to see a good selection of products, you need to be super careful and check expiration date carefully. They sell condensed milk that EXPIRED IN 2018!!!! Bought few items today including sour cream (large), cottage cheese, a pound of processed meat, few chocolate bars. As I brought home the food I discovered that sour cream was not in my two lightly packed bags that I received from a lady behind counter. I called to check if they had my missing item but received a rather rude response from a lady who served me. "I do not need your sour cream and once I put an item on the counter - we aren't liable". I think they should try a little harder and be a little happier with clients. read more

I love this Russian grocery store where I get freshly baked European bread, a variety of sausages, awesome honey cakes, and other baked goods. This store is my treasure in Roseville-Rocklin for grocery shopping. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because the store is small, which means not much room to physical distance, and I don't see active preventative measures in place during these Covid times. But I would hug the baker in the back of the store, if he/she allows me, for producing all the goodies. read more

Just visited this store today with my husband. Bought a lot of stuff and found out at home that she didn't put our "Meat pasty - perozhki" but the receipt showed them! Feeling very upset, not because of lost money but because being fooled by somebody is not a good feeling. You don't expect this kind of tricks in the US. Will never visit this store again. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service i've ever come across, the "owner" had the audacity to fight us about it and ask us where we kept our rice after IT HAD LITERAL MAGGOTS IN IT, which was in a sealed bag. I have never left a yelp review in my life but this place was so incredibly awful I had no choice but to do so. She claimed the literal maggots in it were rice. I've never seen such terrible, disgusting conditions and such rude customer service, even after she literally saw the maggot. Do not make the mistake we did by coming here. I would give it 0 stars if I could, and even that would be generous. Sincerely, never come here. It is not worth the time and trouble. read more

They sell rotten smoked chicken meat in sealed package, no expiration date on package, no return because you have to check all product before you buy. So if you buy sealed pack of anything you have to open to be make sure it good quality. read more

First time here at the European market I ordered pastries for my daughter birthday. It was delicious, the presentation was beautiful. I've been to many places similar but this is the best place hands down. The owner of the European market was very friendly and had many good ideas as far as decoration and presentation. The taste was very unique and my daughter loves cake pops overall but these cake pops she loved the most, needless to say I will be back and will tell everyone I know. read more

This place recently went under new owner ship and I LOVE IT. I used to drive to Citrus Heights to get my European goodies. I'm glad they got a bigger variety of everything now. It's a lot cleaner. Don't be fooled by the damn photos and fake as fuck reviews (they have their friends and family to leave good reviews even though they don't shop there) every single time I have gotten fruits and veggies from there it with out a doubt molded in a day. Sometimes the fruits and veggies even comes with mold already inside it. do not shop here. Go to Walmart or sprouts if you want good quality food. There's a reason why it costs more. read more

Berezka European Market has lots of wonderful products, especially cakes, tarts and sweets. Tasty fresh bread and sausages too! It's a fantastic place to get a cake for a special occasion. Great store with a good assortment of products. There is ample parking space, and the place is always clean and organized. The produce here is so-so; I only buy herbs, which are usually fresh and adequately priced. Their bread is also pretty good, but there is not as much variety as other Russian/European stores. There is a little bit of everything else, including deli, cakes/pastries, teas, canned foods, candy and other sweets, spices, frozen foods, and dairy. The food is fresh every time, and the cashiers take pride in their work, assisting me during every visit. Would recommend to check out the store! read more

Management & people that work there are extremely nice & helpful. However, I would never buy their dairy products or any perishables. The cheese & butter that I got there was soo bad that my 5 year old refused to eat his food (he LOVES butter & cheese). I asked him why he does not want to eat it, he said it tasted "sour". It's unfortunate that is the case, I was so excited that we have a Russian store closer to us, but I won't be buying any perishables products/food at this store.
