I was not in the market for an Outback, yet my 6' 1" frame was not fitting in the newer SUV driver wells as I had in my 2010 Ford Escape, not even the Forester. That's when Craig Enslin approached me about an Outback. He asked a few qualifying questions about 2021s versus older used models. He then drove up a beauty of a previous TriCity Sales customer 2017 Outback used car with 27K miles. It was pristine inside and out with not even front hood road chips. I took a drive and fell for the car; their final price and the trade-in on my Escape made it spectacular! Forward to my first free oil change and inspection. Perfect! Now I wanted to add Starlink Service. They did the 3G to 5G upgrade - No Charge as a goodwill courtesy. I don't get goodwill out of most car dealers these days, yet I did here! Be patient, be thorough, and find a great group of people who will work with you; that's what I found at TriCity.

Just wondering if it's just Tri-City, but of the 3 Subaru's I've owned the dealers always washed the car (or gave you a voucher for a wash) and vacuumed the car. I was disappointed that it washed washed or vacuumed When I took delivery of my car in April it was not washed or vacuumed of pet hair (my car was a CPO dealer loaner...still don't know why pet hair was in it‍).

Shortly after I was test driving a Nissan Rogue. They were wanting me to finance the car, this is the only way to get their online prices. After stating I was wanting to purchase outright, they kept wanting the financing. I was hoping to do some dealing, but there was no budging. So I left and continued on shopping. My salesman did try to get his upper to work with me in the days following, but no luck. I would browse there again in the future. But read their fine print. Their online prices are only honored if you finance. Every other dealership I've been to does not do this, and instead goes by the price listed on their website, financing or outright purchasing.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had as a consumer…read more I found a truck that I really liked. I texted and emailed with Jon Royal. He asked me when I could come see the truck. I told him I was an hour and a half away so I wanted to iron out some details before I make the trip. We discussed my trade and he asked me to send pictures and asked a few questions. He told me the range they would offer for my trade, pending physical inspection. I was good with that range. I told him I planned to come on Friday. He asked what time and I told him I would let him know tomorrow (Thursday) Thursday morning he texted to ask when I was coming and I told him Friday around 10:30/11:00 and asked if he could send me the Carfax for the truck. He said he would put me down for 10:30 and sent me the Carfax He texted back and said "tomorrow is my day off so when you come in, let the sales staff know you were working with me and they will get you started" That concerned me a little so I asked "Will whoever I will be working with have the information on my trade and the range you gave me?" He said "yes, I spoke to the owner personally about the trade. He said all of that information is saved in your profile along with the photos you sent me" On Friday, I drove for an hour and a half. I arrived at 10:30. When I arrived I saw that they had pulled the truck up front for me. I went inside and was greeted by, Barry (I think) I told him what Jon told me to say and he went to get someone to help me. Someone named Ric came over and shook my hand and said they would get a plate on the truck so I could take it for a test drive and I could leave my keys so they can do the inspection of my trade. I went outside and walked around the truck to check it out. Barry came out to get my drivers license. When he came back out with the plate and my license, he said to go ahead and take it for a test drive and when I get back I can sit with someone to discuss I got in the truck, moved the seat up, put my seatbelt on, started the truck and Barry and another man came rushing out, so I put the window down and they told me the truck was just sold. I drove an hour and a half for that. I find it interesting that the subject line in the emails they sent said "your frontier is ready at Somersworth Nissan. Nobody took me aside to explain anything... nobody so much as said "I am so sorry this happened" nothing I texted Jon when I left- I wanted him to know what happened. He did not respond I called and left a message for the owner Brendan Forget. He did not respond. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone, in fact I'm going out of my way to spread the word about the awful treatment I received. I mean, if a mistake was made, they should have spoken to me- they should have reached out. This was someone I was conversing with for 3 days by text and email- and then silence. Their customer service skills are a joke.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 14, 2018:…read more Dan Lagrange from Key Auto of Somersworth reached out to me on October 17, 2018 and he listened to my issues and communicated with me and he went out of his way to make things right. Dan & Key Auto lived up to their commitments and stood behind the vehicle I purchased from them. I would recommend dealing with Dan Lagrange from Key Auto. Thank you Dan & Key Auto. I purchased a vehicle from Key & the vehicle was grossly mis-advertised & misrepresented. Vehicle was not repaired as per Keys own provided invoices. Purchased a vehicle from Key on 08.25.2018 and received the vehicle on 09.20.2018. During the sale my original salesperson was supposedly let go and I was given the credit manager to complete the sale. Response time was less than adequate and I had to constantly initiate contact with him to get him to respond to anything. Upon receiving and thoroughly inspected the TBSS to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The vehicle was not truly represented by Key. Other than the front passenger fender that was shown to me, there are several other things wrong with the vehicle. Huge dent in the rear passenger door, scratches and dings all over the vehicle (Not The Rub Out Kind), drivers side mirror looks like it was attacked by the wolverine (& I Was Sent An Invoice On Work Completed By Your Body Shop & It Stated They Fixed That Mirror and all the other items as well?), permanent burn marks on the front interior counsel, a family of mice were living in the engine compartment, the rear bumper was not put on correctly, the front bumper was not put on correctly, rear drivers tire has a leak in it, the people who turned it in lived near the water and a lot of the interior hinges and engine compartment metal parts have serious rust, which I was not informed of, the air compressor hose is missing, the rear windshield wiper is broke, the vehicle failed New Hampshire's emission testing and Key did nothing to correct the failure. Key was supposed to detail the vehicle as stated & they didn't, which was even shown on the invoices they provided to me, I have to do my own registration and title, which Key was supposed to do as part of their job in completing this sale or any sale, which costs me additional monies which Key never conveyed to me, etc., etc., etc. In addition to the aforementioned, I specifically asked key to only use Wells Fargo for the credit, but my credit was run approximately seven (7) Times through other vendors and now my credit has taken a serious hit because of multiple credit checks. I am aware that this is a used vehicle that is ten + years old and it's not going to be perfect, but what should be perfect is Key's marketing and representation of this vehicle or any vehicle they sell, which was not. The chances of me or anyone I know doing business with Key again is extremely low.

The paperwork handling is absolutely ridiculous if you are put on an intransit plate from them to New York. Why would registration / titling paperwork on their end be sent to Beacon Auto Tag in Williamstown, New Jersey ??? Goes from Vermont to New Jersey to New York (some private DMV as Beacon says) then finally to the customer. It should not take over 6 weeks for the paperwork to process unless the so-called title clerk did her job correctly; what happened to the TC doing the job; instead of sending paperwork to some fly-by-night company like BEACON AUTO TAG. Doesn't the dealerships know they are losing so much money !!! All in all; DON'T EVER and I MEAN DON'T EVER DEAL WITH ANY OF THE KEY AUTO DEALERS ANYWHERE IN THIS COUNTRY...Their Dealer licenses should be YANKED from them all !!! Because if they screw people at one, you can bet they do it at all of them. WTH.....they are also LIARS !!! I was told that they would send me a check for half of the document fees that I was charged to keep me happy...where is it; LIARS !!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's a clean, factual Yelp-style review written specifically for Granite Hyundai (updated name):…read more Yelp Review for Granite Hyundai (Somersworth, NH) I brought my car to Granite Hyundai last Thursday for a state inspection. It failed for front brakes, rear brakes, and tires. Fair enough -- I took the car home, parked it in my garage, repaired everything myself, and brought it back Monday for the re-inspection. This is where everything went downhill. Suddenly the re-inspection showed four completely new "failures": - A bad wiper - A brake light - "Low fluids" - Another minor item The fluids were not low, and when I questioned it, the service manager admitted these were actually maintenance recommendations, not legitimate inspection failures -- even though they were presented to me as fails. That alone is enough to make anyone uneasy. I also mentioned a taillight water-intrusion issue I reported months ago. Back then it was brushed off as "normal condensation." Now the water buildup is so bad that it shorted out a light, and suddenly it's a "seal leak" they won't address because my car is 3,000 miles out of warranty (63k miles). The issue was clearly misdiagnosed the first time. The service manager's attitude didn't help -- he was dismissive, smug, and offered no real explanation beyond "things must have changed between Thursday and Monday." Unless I drove through a meteor field, that doesn't make sense. Based on this experience and prior issues I've had here, I can't recommend Granite Hyundai for inspections or service. This kind of behavior is exactly why New Hampshire is eliminating state inspections -- too many dealerships using them as a way to generate unnecessary work instead of performing honest evaluations. Be cautious if you bring your vehicle here.

There are also screenshots of text exchanges with the Granite Hyundai service department at that review. https://maps.app.goo.gl/RHnPhZVQcUUsPUQRA If you purchase a used car here make sure you have an independent mechanic inspect it. Do not listen to them when they say we stand behind our cars if there are any problems just let us know. They absolutely do not stand behind their cars. I bought a 2020 highlander here and after 6 days brought it back for noise from the transmission and suspension that they couldnt find a problem for they replaced 2 tires and said it was tire noise. They never even respond to my questions about the noises as you can see from my attached text messages with them. The noise got worse and i made an appointment with Toyota. They diagnosed it as needing a transmission which was partially covered i paid 177 out of pocket out of $10k, but i was left with a 1600 bill for suspension parts not covered under warranty. I brought it back again and they still wouldnt cover the strut damage. And told me it passed a bounce test and its an older vehicle with higher mileage what do i expect. To their credit they did acknowledge the sway bar end links were bad and offered to replace those. They also did provide me with a loaner vehicle for the month the car was at Toyota for the transmission replacement. This vehicle will not pass inspection in maine unsure how they passed it in nh. I guess my expectations after spending $23k is a car that can pass inspection. I will say the salesman Evan was very good he was the only person at the dealer that seemed to want to make things right. Unfortunately this place burned me so bad there is zero chance I would ever recommend or use them for anything again.
