I understand stores are trying to cut costs, but eliminating staffed checkout lanes is hurting the customer experience. However, when I opened the replacement container the following day, it also tasted expired. What concerns me the most is that neither container had an expiration date or any "best by" date. For a fresh, prepared food like guacamole, that's a serious food safety concern. There's no way for customers to know how long it has been sitting or whether it's still safe to eat. I appreciate that the employees replaced the product, but receiving a second spoiled container makes me worry that this may be a larger issue. I would strongly recommend avoiding the prepared guacamole and salsas until proper date labeling and quality control are in place. Food safety should always come first.
