The store is always fully stocked and well organized, making it easy and convenient for customers to navigate the aisles. The healthy selection of food items can be seen throughout the store. Parking can be a challenge at times, as this store is located at the corner of extremely busy Whittier Blvd and Colima Ave. As a result, MANY people shop at this store. read more

Trisha was an absolute life saver for me last week. My florist fell through for my bridal bouquet (less than a week before the vows) and I was scrambling to come up with something. My go to place to buy quality cheese for a good price. Also many options to choose from. Many organic produce items way more affordable than Sprouts. People here are very nice too, overall always good experience except for tonight. Manager seems to have an attitude when I wanted to return the vitamins I bought, she said that they do not do returns for vitamins and it's the policy - nothing she can do about it. But I told her I spoke to another manager the other day and said I can get credit, she then said oh yes we can do that. She thought I wanted cash but not once did I mention I wanted a cash refund. Anyway, she gave me the credit and was nice afterwards, so all good! Don't recommend buying the B vitamins here, I tried the Biotin and B6 with B12, took them for a month and didn't feel any difference. Also tried the sourdough bread that's freshly baked that's located at a different spot not where the other breads are at - got hard within like 2 days. read more

This specific location is straight booty. I've had to return multiple items because they were spoiled. The exchanges were made and the issues were resolved, so no complaint there. If you don't enjoy the typical Trader Joe's engagement that is often memed this place is for you. The cashiers I've been assisted by are genuinely rude. I had one cashier assume that I was trying to steal a canvas bag because I'd forgotten to remove its tag between purchases. I once had another cashier looking off into the distance and then gossiping with a coworker as they waved my receipt in my face once the transaction was over. The sample attendants are unapproachable. I'm said to say that this location is just a dud. I enjoy Trader Joe's and I hate to speak poorly of it, but this location is just a dud. read more

The cashier Genesis needs to learn basic etiquette. She had a big order ahead that she was finishing up which I didn't mind so I decided to read a text and while doing so she said hello which I replied back but was obviously distracted for another maybe 10 seconds before I realized she was ready for me, she then proceeded to look at me along with the person next to her and laugh at me which I decided to brush off and even said thank you after my order was completed. Received no response and she was rushing to get me away even though I only had 2 quick items. Kindness is learned and clearly her mother didn't teach her. Always the best customer service. I remembered you used to be able to rent wine lockers at Trader Joe's. And they used to have chunks of chocolate blocks of chocolate that were really good odd shapes. They were great. But each time I go I usually find something interesting new and the place is always clean. The food is expensive but good quality And like I said the frozen area that's always something new which makes it fun a little towards a higher prices, but it's always more organic natural and better tasting than what you find in the market. read more

Trader Joe's in Whittier, CA, doesn't really need another glowing review, but I like to give credit when it's due. My intentions weren't set on going here at all. In fact, I forgot what existed in this area. We had just exited the Hallmark shop in the same plaza on 5/1/22. My girls didn't want to go inside, but now they're happy we did. TJ's always has affordable, good snacks. This go-round we tried: + giant Peruvian Inca corn snacks ($1.99) + organic blue corn tortilla chips ($3.79) + peanut butter "Puffins" corn puffs cereal ($4.29) I also tried a very decent bottle of "Kentucky Best" bourbon whiskey ($13.99). All for just over $25 during some serious inflation headed-for-a-recession too. The employees were friendly with a sense of humor. The store was clean & organized. Ample free parking. read more

I came to this Trader Joe's but was very disappointed. Asked an employee if they would be receiving pink berries. She could not answer the question and told me to ask Guest Services. When I approached the two ladies seemed bothered. When I asked if they would be receiving pink berries the tommyish lady said I'll check and kept looking at the computer. Thinking she was checking I just stood there and she didn't address me. I walked away. Lack of Customer Service which the Regional Manager needs to address. Let's not forget the spoiled fruit make sure to check before purchasing. This store needs to follow the blue print of EastPasadena Store (Huntington Drive). Employees are on the floor. i want to start off by saying this is a great store with amazing customer service! unfortunately, as much as i love the store and plan on returning soon, ive had multiple experiences buying past date food from the shelves. first was bread which was disappointingly hard but at least somewhat edible, second was baby cucumbers that were 4 days past the expiration date and extremely dried out and slimey, and the condition of them was unable to be checked because they came in a bag. third happened today, 3/20, i bought a pack of the mozzarella snack balls that are dated 3/14, again another expiration date i couldn't see until i opened the package. but really, 6 days past the expiration and still on the shelves? is there any food inspection or date checking done here? personally i don't like to buy food close to the expiration date, let alone almost a full week after. it's gotten to a point where nearly everytime i come here im purchasing something thats beyond expired. it's disgusting and disappointing especially considering how difficult it is to even shop at the store, i don't want to drive all the way back and fight for a parking spot just for a refund because my mozzarella cheese was 6 days expired, it should've been off the shelf to begin with. if there were another trader joe's closer i would definitely give them business instead. read more

Absolutely love this store! Most of the time I am able to fulfill my shopping list as there are workers replenishing the shelves throughout the day. Only a few times, some items are sold out. Most of the employees are well-trained with product knowledge and availability of items. Some even offer ideas how to use certain specialty items such as the garlic dip. A lot of their new items are offered for a limited time, sometimes even offered as a one time deal. Most of the employees are helpful and customer service oriented. I always look forward to buying their new items. I research their website before I get to the store to see what new items are being offered. read more

They're very on point with following COVID guidelines, cleaning carts, etc. I'm actually surprised that I live near one, since I always thought that I had to go much farther and since childhood I've treated TJ like some luxury, but the prices are super affordable for the unique, high quality products that they have. As I was doing my exercises at Physical Therapy, I was thinking about what I was going to make for dinner for my husband, niece, and nephew. The crew members and the store at this Whittier location are top notch, but let me tell you about my crew member/cashier (Michelle). We began by chitchatting about the quality of the steaks. She was so easy to talk to, I began to fill her in on how my niece and nephew came to live with us. She is so easy to talk to, and so very kind! November 20, 2021 The team members here at this Trader Joe location always provide excellent and great customer service anything you need to ask they'll do their best to accommodate you that's why I like coming to this location even if it's just a pick up a few things I highly recommend a Trader Joe's vanilla ice cream you will not be disappointed.
