Food is mediocre. Some food was cold, and plates were not the cleanest. The cookie tray had hard cookies and the forks were dirty. The bathrooms were awful and gross. The lady working the register was nice, and the staff came regularly for refills. read more

I decided to take my family to Best Buffet because it's one of only a few Chinese buffets in the area and we hadn't been there in years. Let's just say we weren't impressed. The atmosphere needs work: 1.) the first thing you are met by when entering is a seedy looking area devoted to slot machines. It just comes off tacky when you are paying for -- at least in part -- an experience. 2.) the experience is further wrecked by the music options. Normally a Chinese restaurant will play to their strength by offering traditional Chinese folk music. Best Buffet doesn't do that -- instead you are bombarded by contemporary Christian music. It isn't much of an improvement over the country music they used to play years ago. 3.) There were two children playing throughout the dining space in between serving drinks and taking payments. I'm not sure if they are the children of the owner or one of the workers -- but whoever had the idea of having a child under the working age (he looked to be approx. 10 years old) accept payments wasn't thinking. We ended up being overcharged because the older kid (who at least looked old enough to legally work) never brought our receipt. I didn't notice until we were halfway home that the boy had charged us nearly $3 each for 4 glasses of water. $12 for water! I'm in my forties and have never paid that much for tap water at a restaurant until now! I also noticed that our 4 year old was charged as an adult even though we clearly said "3 adults and 1 child" which the young cashier repeated. In hindsight I should have asked about the pricing at that time. But we were kind of flying blind because they didn't have prices listed anywhere aside from a sign near the entrance for the price of carry out buffet boxes and I was still thrown off by the fact a kid playing with Pokemon figures was working the counter. 4.) There was an older worker who seemed to be supervising the children mentioned above. He was unresponsive when asked questions aside from smiling and then walking away. He seemed to be busy cleaning -- which was one plus of the place. The restaurant was relatively clean in my opinion. Though the bathroom looked horribly outdated -- but that isn't necessarily the fault of the restaurant because they likely lease the building. The chairs and tables def' had a Chinese theme -- which helped up the atmosphere of the place a bit. Sadly, they don't take advantage of the large space to add more decorative elements that would elevate the dining experience. 5.) Now for the food. I'd say 45% of the food and desserts offered are staple American buffet fare -- pizza, deviled eggs, chicken nuggets, bananas with strawberry sauce, jello, ice cream, etc. Another 40% is Americanized Chinese food... as in food that isn't traditional Chinese cuisine and was developed mostly in the US, such as General Tso chicken. The rest leans more toward the traditional -- you have your pepper chicken, lemon chicken, and other options. I'm not really sure why they promote themselves as a 'Chinese buffet' when a high percentage of the buffet options are simply not traditional Chinese cuisine. There's more traditional options if you do pickup or delivery -- but hardly any of those options are included in the buffet itself. It just doesn't make sense to call yourself 'best buffet' and not offer all of those options! In closing, the food wasn't horrible... but it def' needs some work, the service was friendly for the most part -- but they may want to rethink having a young boy serve as host. Especially if he is going to overcharge customers! For that alone it's doubtful we will go back. I know several in my entourage that day have zero plans to ever eat their again. They need to take advantage of their large space as well -- give customers the visual experience they expect when they are hungry for a slice of culinary culture. read more

This place is amazing. My friends took me to dinner here for a party. What's more, it's very cheap. There's a beautiful girl named Emma who gives me an excellent service. Although she's English is not well, she is a great waitress.It's really a good place to eat there. read more

The food tastes like pre packed food and food is never hot the food is lukewarm although the staff is very friendly and the place is clean

The food was okay, but some of the hot foods seemed luke warm and not hot.

Foods usually good here and it's very clean with a good rating. We recommend it during peak hours (as always with a buffet)

A great place to listen to country music. Water tastes a little like donkey piss, but its probably fine. Mini pizzas are the best in town.

Traveling thru town & had a yen for Chinese food. Unfortunately I tried this place. The buffet had more traditional buffet fare, like macaroni & cheese, fried chicken, and was skimpy on any decent Chinese food. Even the ice cream was glue-like.
