This is about all Best Buy stores. I had a simple question that a clerk in a store could answer. I googled the phone number of a Best Buy near me, and called. And got rerouted to a call center in another country! This happened 3 times, with the phone numbers to 3 different stores in my area. I was told, stores don't answer the phones, they reroute to a call center. Well, if Best Buy can't be bothered to allow their clerks to answer the phone in a store, they've lost my business. BTW, I asked my question of a call center person, and was told I'd have to physically walk into a store and ask a clerk. Well, I'd do that, but we're in the middle of a 3 day snowstorm, which is why I was trying to call the store in the first place. I really didn't feel like driving 35 miles in a whiteout to see if a store had a certain item in stock. If I'm going to deal with a business that impersonal, I may as well use Amazon. No wonder brick and mortar stores are going under. read more

This store is very organized, the employees are super helpful and dont get irritated and very patient! The black guy with the bush, the person he called to help with transaction and the guy who helped us find the camera and cashed us out were all super nice and helpful! As well as the greeters who asked if we needed help finding anything when we first walked in! I never got a hard time for every time I shopped at this location! Everyone deserves a raise! read more

They cancelled our order more than once because of what seems to be a flaw in their ordering system. We've purchased from them in the past but not selling things is evidently far preferable to them and is more evidence of the downfall of American publicly-traded corporations. As of writing this, they're also claiming they provide support via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Support. Via social media. So the idea of escalating and resolving customer issues seems to have gone out the window? Back to Amazon we go...again unfortunately. Oh, and take a glance at the 5-year stock performance of AMZN versus BBY. The one-time service is $150. And then, as far as computers are concerned in the end, all they're going to do is a hard factory reset. That's ridiculous. This review is not on this specific location but on Best Buy in general. We purchased a gazebo that ended up being a marketplace through Best Buy called U-Homy. It came damaged with one box taped up and marked repacked ( we were not home when that box was delivered or we would have refused it as the gazebo came in multiple boxes and deliveries) and Best Buy would not take care of and said we had to deal with the marketplace seller. I have been trying for months to get this resolved and neither Best Buy nor U-Homy is cooperating DO NOT buy anything from Best Buy that is from the U-Homy marketplace read more

I came in to buy originally a mini Wi-Fi router extender, but I ended up buying a whole new router for my Internet/Wi-Fi. The employee was really helpful and looking up the information that I needed & exactly what I wanted in a router. It was a bit more money than I intended to spend, but I wanted something good that was gonna work so I paid $172, approximately for a new router. This way I can get 2G and 5G networks, which I need for my house in Spectrum right now, is only doing 5G on the routers. Plus this way now I don't have to pay the fee for leasing their equipment The store is spacious, there is room to move, and, like I said, the employee was very helpful. They have lots of different things for electronics whether it be computers, iPhones, all the accessories you need for those things, and a lot more. read more

Worst in store help ever. Went in to buy a large screen TV and could not find anyone to help us get out of store. My wife is 60 and I'm in my 50a and we had to drag the TV thought the whole store. You have to sign a waiver just to call. No joke. And then the call system is a nightmare and won't connect you to humans.

I stopped in to purchase a couple cans of air to clean my keyboard. Surprisingly they were out of stock (although the service person said several were showing as available in the system but were not anywhere to be found) and I ended up having to go elsewhere for it. So, a little frustrating. However, I'm still giving three stars instead of one because I interacted with several customer service people on this visit - I ended up wandering around and it turned out I had other things on my list that I didn't know they sell - and every person I spoke with was friendly and helpful and kept it overall a nice experience even if I left empty-handed. The store layout is a bit confusing, but the staff know where things are and are happy to give directions and/or show you the right location. read more

Horrendous delivery service. We went to the store to cancel our purchase after getting phone purgetory. I took a day off from work to be berated by the delivery service. BB lost us as a customer. Two weeks in advance I made an appointment for Saturday Feb. 1, 2025 for GEEK to come to my house to make repairs on my televisions set. They said they would call the night before to let me know what time. They did not call the night before - and I had to call them the morning of the appointment, which they confirmed. They were supposed to come between 11 and 3:00 and I was home the entire time. The repair person did not show up. For this response, I have to give Best Buy Geeks the lowest rating. That's too bad because the last time I had someone come, they provided excellent service. read more

After being directed to the general area where the item I wanted was located, I couldn't find it. went back the the greeter guy and told him I couldn't find the item and could use some help. the greeter guy said he couldn't help me now because everyone is busy. They accused my husband of lying about my cancer. I was outside the return window by a month because we had been dealing with my being sick. My husband asked that they allow us to return it for a merchandise credit or exchange due to my illness. The manager said in a snide tone that he can't prove my cancer, but if we had been members of their program, we could have returned it. Instead of just saying no, he ridiculed the notion that someone could be really sick. I've asked Best Buy if the manager would reconsider if I brought my medical records. No response. There is still no resolution, and I still have a computer with a blue screen and keyboard that doesn't work. Hopefully, HP can fix it. read more

Buying electronics is never fun, especially after having my old reliable Samsung laptop for 9 years. Ended up at this location, for better service; completed the check in process, browsed around,and was on my journey for a new laptop purchase. Sanders, the sales associate that took care of me was everything I could have asked for in customer service. I'm a firm believer if you have three things: knowledge, patience and humor your set in sales. Learned a lot more information on updates to laptops and their operating systems, expanding my horizons further in technology. Ended up with an Asus 15' touch screen, and Microsoft 365, 2019 personal for 15 months for under $80. Microsoft no longer comes with laptops, it's a yearly renewal. read more

The hard drive I bought here was already bent. Oh wait no that was at Bent Buy. One of the main reasons that I'm not a fan of this Best Buy other than the fact that it's often really busy and not as friendly as the one on Transit Road is that it's really really annoying and hard to get in here. This one is in the middle of one of the busiest plazas on one of the busiest roads in the whole region and it's such a shopping Hub and the people drive in here like absolute psychotics who have no value for human life or their own. Other than that it's a clean and fairly well-stocked Best Buy store but getting in here is so stressful that I just stay away from it. read more

It's not very often that I stop into a Best Buy, but I needed a USB flash drive and happened to be in the area. Luckily they were on sale too! Immediately upon entering the store they had an associate stopping customers on the way in, asking what they were coming in for, then directing them directly to that part of the store. Although I was confused at first, I appreciated the help. And even better, there was no one in the checkout line so we really got through the store quickly! However there were multiple people waiting in the online pickup line. We didn't look throughout the store for anything else so I can't comment on the stock, however they did have a great variety of USB flash drives at affordable prices, so if you're looking for one of those, I'd highly recommend. read more

purchased tv with free installation. scheduled delivery 8 days out due to scheduling issues. night before received text 1145-245 delivery timeframe. at 1220 received text delivery would be 815-1115. called customer service, holding for 45 minutes, driver would call when leaving current location and be there approximately 30 minutes, after waiting an hour no call from driver, customer service hold for 60 minutes again. driver called at 645, I was irate and driver hung up, no delivery. went to store manager and found out once an item is purchased, the store has nothing to do with delivery or set up and were totally unable to help me other than issue a credit. the store is not responsible for your delivery. beware Best Buy if Any assistance is needed other than check out. read more

Great curb side service from Best Buy Amherst location. Place your order on their website and pick up item within half hour outside the store. Actually it's really nice if we could get this type of drive up service all the time! Corona virus has one small perk maybe! We had to return a product and it was quick and easy. Then we sat in our vehicle and placed a new order for a Samsung Smart TV. Love the TV! It's so smart that we dumb owners luckily can use this quarantine period to pick its brain. read more

Never go to this store for tech support they are awful. The receiver on my phone stopped working, I went to Best Buy because I got my phone from there and they convinced me to get the Best Buy warranty instead of Apple care. They said I would need to bring it in for a repair, this is visit 1 So I go back during my scheduled repair time, and they tell me they can't repair it, but I'd need to bring it back when a manager was there to approve the exchange visit 2 So I go back and they tell me they can't replace it they would have to fix it. I don't have time for a three hour fix at this time visit 3. (In addition to that, the manager pulled someone from behind me in line, who didn't even have an appointment, which I knew because we were chatting during the 15 minutes I waited past my appointment time) So I go back to get it repaired and they tell me they can't repair it, it needs to be replaced, so they set up the replacement tell me it will be 2-4 days. Visit 4 Three weeks after visit 4, 5 weeks from the start of this process, over 10 hours of my time at the store, I get a call telling me they can't replace the phone, they'd have to send it in, leaving me without a phone. They took zero responsibility for their incompetence, were unapologetic, rude. I tried calling customer service and was hung up on twice. Save your time and frustration and go anywhere else that might know what they are doing, and care at all about customer service. read more

Had a really awesome experience here tonight! We saw an ad online that they had an Insignia™ - 55" Class - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR - Fire TV Edition on sale for just $250! That's $180 off. I love a bargain and we have been casually looking at a new tv for a few months now. We came in and didn't see any out, so we waited in line a few minutes at the customer help desk by the TVs and the associate called some extra help in to assist us. Alex (shout out to her because she was so nice and helpful!) looked it up for us and found one in stock and brought it up for us. She sold us on the protection plan and that was perfect. If you pull your car up they will even load your purchases in for you!! Such great customer service!!! read more

I went on my lunch to buy an Apple Watch for my wife I stood over by them for 15 minutes. There was only one person working in that section this person told me I needed to get in a que. I go over to the front desk he says it's going to be at least another 20 minutes in this que. I wish I knew about it when I walked in then I would've got in when I walked in instead of just standing next to what I wanted. Made one trip to Best Buy the day I was notified, stood in line with one customer in front of me, NO One even greeted me as a customer, 3 guys were all pre occupied with the first customer issue,, I eventually said something to a guy,, was given an attitude and BS... To be quite honest, I typically avoid going into this store, I find the constant questions by the sales associates to be aggravating. I even go as far as to occasionally stay in the car when my husband goes in. Today he convinced me to go in with him and while he looked at speakers, I roamed around the computers as I am in the market for a new one. I was greeted by an associate, Moel. Let me just say he was great, he was not forceful and he was very knowledgeable not only about the computer I was interested in but all the similar models around it. I have never wrote a review of a retail store (only restaurants) but my experience at the Niagara Falls Blvd store was so bad I felt I had to make an exception At the front they ask what you are there for, I was there for a monitor. The service rep pointed me in the direction. I had the monitor picked out but they didn't have the item under the display. Assume it was in back so waited for a service rep. After 25-min being ignored by the staff, i walk back to the front to ask the first person. He said they only help you if your in a queue (which he did not explain previously). I asked him to add me and how long it would take, he said 5-min. After 15-min I went back over and he said, well they're busy, just wait longer. I left at that point I hate supporting Walmart & Amazon but at least there I don't have to deal with that type of experience. I am not surprised to see all the poor ratings for the store. Best Buy as a corporation continues there steady decline and I am certain the store will continue to pull them further downward. I was told at the front door that I was not allowed to ask and associate for assistance. Important to note that I had just come from the Best Buy location at Walden Galleria where two associates ask if I needed help, located the product at the Amherst location, and recommended that I go there for the purchase. After a horrendous experience at a Best Buy on Long Island, I promised myself I would never step foot in any Best Buy again. (Dramatic I know, but the customer service I had experienced was that bad.) Well, I can happily say that thanks to the Geek Squad representative that assisted me in Amherst, I will give Best Buy another chance. I went to Best Buy in Amherst, because my so called, "fixed laptop" was still broken. I went in very angered but tried to give the man the benefit of the doubt considering he had no involvement with my laptops condition. I explained to him what was happening and without hesitation, did everything he could to fix my laptop. He was patient and knowledgable while I was explaining every detail of the problem and he fixed it! Finally my laptop is working again. While on vacation from Texas to Upstate NY to visit my family. I had a need to visit one of the local Best Buy stores. I would say this one is fairly typical of most Best Buy's I have experienced, although it is somewhat smaller than the ones in Texas. They offer most of the same product line's but the sales tax is higher here but I the overall price's are lower. The staff are friendly and helpful and not pushy which is a plus and willing to do price comparison's just to save you a couple of dollars which I appreciated. I'm downgrading my initial review done to a 2. When looking for external hard drive enclosure's. The most reasonable priced was $29.99 and they only had 3 in stock all higher priced. Those prices for an external drive enclosure is highway robbery. Amazon has them for between $8.00 and $20.00 depending on weather they have fans. read more
